Can't thank the FreeFlo team enough for what was by far the most unique/fun team work event I've been a part of. Every member of their team brings a level of energy that not only made the group feel comfortable, but most importantly have an absolute blast. I'm already getting messages from my team asking when we can go back. Thank you Louis, Brian and the whole squad. What an awesome experience. read more

Look no further for your next team building or bonding experience with friends and family. Get ready to create the jam of the year! I recently booked Freeflo for a work event with some colleagues and clients and it was just pure magic. The reservation is easy and straightforward, the process of creating a song is super fun and the end result is just priceless! Many laughs were had along the way! You record at the legendary Quad Studios that makes you feel like a rock star as soon as you step in. Brian, Louie (Pots & Pans) and their engineer / production crew are all top notch and really help you throughout the whole process. They really make it all come to life! Run, don't walk to book your next outing at FreeFlo! I'm already thinking about another visit to create the next single, remix, or comeback! thanks FreeFlo. You rock! read more

I was genuinely dreading coming here for a team event, I thought it would be like recording karaoke -- super cringe and corny. BUT ACTUALLY -- this was so much fun from start to finish ?!?! The guys immediately make you feel comfortable and their passion is really infectious -- you can't help but get wrapped up in the fun. It was genuinely such a thoughtful team event -- very introspective yet silly. I walked into Freeflo a hater but now 10/10 would recommend. Also, it's days later and the song we made is still stuck in my head. A true corporate bop. read more

Had a great birthday experience with Louis, Lex and Phil. They are very personable and put everyone at ease. Good facilitators, got the creative juices flowing. We had a family group and were very happy how they engaged everyone. The end product was superb, and the experience was most memorable. Bonus: we started late due to a confusion with the studio location, and they graciously extended their time so we had the full experience. read more

This was one of the coolest things I have ever done in New York City! It seamlessly combined art, music, and a vibrant social atmosphere to create a night such a "star" experience. You don't need to be an experienced, songwriter, singer, or performer. Everyone at Flo social guides you through the process and helps you and each of those areas. The most important thing is to have fun and to support the group that you go with. You may think you don't have the chops for it, but you would be surprised at what you're capable of when music engineers like @Fillythakid (Instagram) are working their magic! I don't want the whole experience to be a spoiler, but I couldn't recommend this enough. Shy people welcome, trust me. The artists at Flo Social won't pressure you to do anything but if they see you're working on some thing they'll sit next to you and help you out. They will even be in the booth with you. But if you don't want to sing or perform in any way, you can always sit back, watch the group, perform, and grab some drinks. You're in a studio were some of the greatest of greats produced their records. The history that building holds in itself is worth a visit. 10/10 will def be back! read more

Recorded a song here for my friends birthday and couldn't recommend this experience more. We love music but none of us are musically trained. Seriously. Amazing corporate experience! Absolute fun for everyone! Trust the team and process - the free flow team will guide you through everything.

Had an awesome experience here tonight! The staff were so talented and spitting bars left and right. The entire recording process is guided and made really easy for beginners. They help you write your own lyrics and record to a preset beat, you can do whatever you like: rap, sing, yoddle. There are professional sound producers to make you sound GOOD. Definitely recommending it to my boss for our next team outing! read more

Our team building event at FreeFlo was a blast!! The guys impressed us with their ability to throw together lyrics and freestyle rap. Nov 11, 2025 Stephanie S. Looking for a one of a kind experience - Girls Night, Guys Night, Team Building, Birthday Party...THIS IS IT!!! I was looking for something fun, different and cool for my 6th grade daughter's 11th birthday. In my search, I came across FreeFlo. It certainly looked cool, the experience sounded dope and for sure it was different. But "this is going to be too pricey" was my thought. I inquired anyway. It seemed too good not to. Prompt response, friendly staff, beyond reasonable pricing and confirmation that the experience was as exciting, different and as dope as it sounded. I knew this was it. I knew I found a gem. Planning was easy, communication seamless and the anticipation of what to come was real. We were greeted by Tim, who led us to our room/studio and our FreeFlo team, Louis (Pots & Pans), Phil and Alexander. What's behind the facade of 723 7th Avenue is history, magical, invigorating...Quad Studios. For sure one of the coolest places for a music buff to see and be a part of. Our FreeFlo team, full of excitement, enthusiasm and knowledge began to work their magic engaging the group and getting their creativity to flow. In no time, the lyrics were flo'in and the girls were in the booth recording. Pots & Pans made sure that we all took part - me, my little one (6), my cousin and best friend all dropped a line or two on the track. With the girls all in, the enthusiasm high and the fun and creativity off the charts, I extended our party an hour. We spent 3 short hours with Louis, Phil and Alexander. Writing, laughing, singing, cheering each other on, creating and recording a track, "Summer Life!" It was EPIC, pure magic! We left the studio with an amazing, unforgettable experience and a banger track to rock out to. "That was the best birthday ever, Mom!" Yep, it sure was! A huge shout out to Louis, Phil and Alexander for helping me pull off an epic celebration for my girl! You guys nailed it! THANK YOU!!! read more

FreeFlo was such a fun, creative experience for my whole team. Had a great time! Went on a team event with my coworkers. Absolutely recommend you try this out!

I went there for a birthday party, and it was truly one of the most memorable nights I've ever experienced. The producer made me sound amazing (self proclaimed voice-hater here), and now I want to get back into the booth and test out other lyrics and sounds. The team was great to work with and super encouraging. They give you great strategies and tips on how to write lyrics. I think everyone who left felt like a star. I highly recommend this experience. read more

**An unsurpassable experience** I've NEVER written an online business review but I'm completely blown away by FreeFlo. My family and I had the most fun and unique experience this weekend writing and recording an original song in a professional studio to commemorate our daughter's 10th birthday. Our group ranged from age 7 to 69 and everyone loved it! We're not creative types but Louis, Brian and team worked some sort of sorcery magic that kept us loose and got us fully immersed in the experience. Now we have this amazing song that we can't believe we actually wrote(!!!!!!) and which will be a family treasure for years to come. It was honestly just epic. I've done lots of cool stuff in NYC but this takes the cake hands down. read more

FreeFlo - Team Building Activities Near Me

Whether it's axe throwing or cooking classes, it's safe to say that group activities have become so commonplace in NYC that finding something interesting and engaging can be difficult. Enter WorkFlo, a wonderful rhyming spin on team building and creativity that is among the most unique services I've seen. The concept is genius: writing rhymes / raps in a studio together as a group for a takeaway song that everyone can enjoy. One doesn't have to be a words smith or hip hop head to truly embrace the format, they have a team of experienced gurus that are able to help make things flow in a way where folks can express themselves fully through a little creativity and music. Their studio setup is professional, equipped with a lounge with snacks / drinks, as well as a technical producer and a sound booth. It's so interesting to see what artists have to endure when putting together a piece from start to finish. Most group activities end with a great photo at best, but the takeaway here is the experience spent together, and a song to relieve it all. If one is planning a corporate outing, a bachelor/bachelorette party, or any special occasion, I would highly recommend WorkFlo for a memorable and inspiring experience. And that was review #3,900. read more

Everything about this experience was so special. The whole team was sooo into creating rhymes. The staff was super knowledgeable and guided us while letting us unleash our creativity! The studio was also really cool - lots of history! read more

Admittedly, I was a skeptic about this whole thing. I was completely disinterested in going into a recording studio for a "team building activity" to rap. Because neither of those things are my kinda things, y'know? That being said: this was one of the coolest experiences I've ever been a part of. I've never done anything like it, and I can't believe how jealous all my friends back home were when I told them about it. Who knew? WorkFlo did. That's who. There was this moment when the light switch of Trust was flicked on. Here's what I mean: the WorkFlo guys are genuinely extremely friendly (and oh-so-cool), and they were sitting in a circle with us freestyling. Suddenly they started calling on some of us to join in. I don't know if they knew ahead of time who would be okay with that kind of spotlight, or if they're just *that* damn good at reading the room, but several of us who were initially pretty uncomfortable by the whole thing were not called on. That's the moment. That's the moment I knew I was in a safe, non-judgemental space. Because: participating was optional. I could just hang out and be a cheerleader, or I could jump in if I wanted. They are supportive and encouraging - they're like the rivers of a bank gently guiding you through the entire process; if you just wanna be left alone, they do that. If you basically want them to write your lyrics for you, they'll do that too. In the end, I *did* write a very quick little ditty (surely the kids are not calling it that these days), and even went first! And #SheGotItInOneTakeFolks My ego has been wildly inflated since, and I believe I'm the next rap superstar. I've even written some more lyrics that I wish I could have come up with in the moment. Since I have no other outlet for this creative genius, I'm gonna leave them here (it's about my obsession with Maine, where I'm from). Enjoy: "Blueberries, lobster bakes, and whoopie pies Was in Lil Miss Moxie when I was just five Y'never meet anyone more in love with Maine It pumps through my soul, through my mind, through my veins I know every inch of our 4K mile coast People? ain't got many, but trees we got the most "Sixteen Counties In Our State are..." Y'know the rest if you're not from afar Celebrating this year our Bicentennial Octas, Boomers, Xers, and Millennials Wishing Vacationland a happy birthday Helluva state since March 15th, eighteen twentay Visit the 207 to say hi But if you ain't from here, get out soon, kthxbai" (The last bit was in my original rap, but it felt like it needed to be Steffy D's tagline or something.) read more

Fantastic team experience! Lots of fun. We love our team song. The team really helped us develop our lyrics and make it special.

Pre-Covid review! Workflo... where do I even start? This was the most fun that I've ever had during a team building activity, if not one of the most fun things that I've ever done, period. I'll admit that going in, I was nervous. Rapping, let alone rapping in front of some of my co-workers... eh. Can't we just do a wine tasting or a cooking class instead? I know I'm pretty good at eating and drinking wine. I couldn't have been any more wrong. The team at Workflo goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and confident. The session starts out in a cozy living room area with a ton of snacks and drinks (liquid courage). Drinks and snacks are included in a the price, and the team put together a delicious spread with lots of apps, charcuterie, wine, beer and champs. One of the best things about Workflo is that you don't just show up and start to rap. Everyone sits around a table and the Workflo team spends time teaching everyone about technique and style. They freestyle a couple of verses and then give everyone some time to write their own verses and practice (while they come around and help). Then they help the group come up with one universal chorus and a beat. By the time I hopped into the recording booth I was already armed with my verse and felt a lot more confident. On top of that, someone from Workflo will even help walk you through recording while you are in the booth. They'll let you have as many takes as you need to get it right. The recording studio is so legit and the quality is super professional. When I heard the recorded version of myself I truly never thought I could sound like that. They also add on really fun sound effects to make it super legit. Within 24 hours my team had a super high quality recording of our song emailed out to us! I went from being nervous about rapping to wanting to show anyone and everyone my rap. Luckily I was here right before the holidays, because I obviously had to share this with my entire family (sorry not sorry for the cursing, Grandma). Workflo is by far one of the most fun and different group activities you can do in NYC and is perfect for a team building activity. Wishing them all of the success! read more

Does the thought of rapping a verse that you wrote yourself in front of your colleagues in a professional recording studio send you into an actual panic attack? Same! I was terrified, and like many people may tell you, not totally looking forward to this experience. But also like those same people will tell you, I started having so much fun nearly immediately. The spanakopita helped. B-Yoo, JPro, Lewis and the rest of the team did an amazing job making everyone feel like they were just hanging out with friends. They definitely recognized that people were officially not in the comfort zone and somehow by the end of the night, every single person in our group was on the track. Not only did they get each of us in the booths, but we all truly wanted to do it. I don't know if I can convey how certain I was that I would not rap. But then thought I'd just write some verses, and then thought I'd just go over those lyrics with one of the guys, and then (out of nowhere) I was actually standing in the booth as the rest of my team stared at me as I wrapped lyrics that I wrote. I was TERRIBLE. But I would do it again in a heartbeat. It was so much fun and now we actually have this very cool thing to look back on and say we created. As scary as this may sound to some people, you should absolutely do it. read more

I did not know what to expect when I was told we were going to a recording studio. The experience BLEW me away. The vibe felt like I was hanging out with my friends. I'll be honest. Team building activities have never really been my jam and I've been known (with the approval of my team) to opt for longer, more elaborate dinners instead of escaping a room or wandering through a wine mansion. You can only throw so many axes (and miss. Every single time. Do people really have fun doing that?) These types of activities are also typically expensive. And often corny. Until now. My mind is blown by how much I enjoyed our team building activity at Workflo. Interestingly enough, only 4 people (including me) on my team of 11 were super gung ho on the idea. The rest were on the spectrum of, "Ok, I'll suffer through this," to "I'm fucking terrified and will not be rapping under any circumstance." I'll end the suspense right here: within minutes of the guys' introductions and thoroughly inspiring freesyle rap, I looked around the room and see everyone furiously jotting down their rhymes, even though the guys assured us that participation is entirely voluntary (spoiler alert: NO ONE will sit out the opportunity). By the end of four hours, the entire room had gone HAM on the mic and we kind of had to be dragged out of the place. It was seriously one of the best times ever. There is nothing like a collaborative creative effort to bring out the best in everyone. Note: Given the good feels, fun and creative magic, why limit this to a work event? I can see this being an incredibly fun activity for anything from a date to a bachelor/ette party to a family reunion to a group of friends just wanting to put something together. Simply put, these guys are magic. They made each and every single one of us feel like a rock star. As a writer who is often a victim of cripling writer's block, I was extra impressed with how they sat with each one of us to bring out the best. They do as much hand-holding as you need so that the finished product sounds incredible. I strongly suspect that one day they are going to need to grow their team to be able to accommodate their growing business. There's nothing like this out there right now! Get on this, friends. I can't think of a single team-building/friendship celebrating activity that can be more rewarding than Workflo. read more
