We had Chef James come to our home to prepare our anniversary dinner. This was our first time doing this, and wanted to try something different. From the start of the process, everything was so easy. James and I text a few times to discuss the meal. He was prompt and gave me some other suggestions to chose from, and also asked what we liked so he could work around our taste. This was great to be able to customize your meal. I also loved that he has pictures of his food which helped for me, a lot. James arrived exactly on time and brought everything he needed. He was amazing and the food he prepared was outstanding! James prepared each dish beautifully and explained what each plate was. And there was plenty of food that we have leftovers from the main dish! We had 4 courses! My husband and I sat at our island in the kitchen, watched him cook, we talked. It was like having a friend over which was so nice and made us feel very comfortable. James is very down to earth, and professional. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in what he does. We had such a great time with him. We will definitely use him again, weather it be for an intimate dinner, a larger group, or a holiday. Yes, he does holiday dinners as well!!! Oh, and he cleaned up the whole kitchen as well which was a huge plus!! You can't get much better. If your looking for a personal, professional, personable chef, I can't recommend Chef James enough. I found Table at Home online and was connected with multiple chefs who proposed various menus that they could prepare for my birthday dinner. I chose Chef Jaycee who owns his own personal chef company called Passion Over Profit which is impressive in and of itself. Chef Jaycee did not 1, not 2 but 3 appetizers for my birthday dinner AND 2 entrees all for 450.00 The menu was vegan and my menu included, vegan dumplings, vegan tofu and vegetable kabobs, vegan truffled risotto, roasted asparagus w sesame seeds, vegan stuffed mushrooms, and more. Chef cooked everything from scratch and cleaned up on top of that in addition to returning to my place the next day to retrieve his plating items! I have to say his personal level of service was excellent. In addition Chef Jaycee was very polite, very professional and yet also very down to earth! There were a few times during the evening where I was being very playful with him and he chuckled and took it all in stride. He even helped to hang some pictures in my house which he totally didn't have to do. At first he seemed very quiet and shy but I don't blame him. These chefs are going into peoples homes and they never know what they're going to get but Chef Jaycee's attitude was fantastic- truly- he comes across as a really humble and genuine person, who simply loves to cook! Our experience with Table at Home was great! The process of requesting the meal was quick and easy, and we got some amazing proposals. The chef we chose, Chef Jordan, was easy and amazing to work with. We were so impressed with the meal he prepared for us, and the whole experience! Our dinner was for a birthday party, and Chef Jordan tailored the menu perfectly to the birthday boy's tastes, so much so that the birthday boy is hoping to make plans to do some cooking with Chef Jordan in the future. Before the meal, the chef was very responsive, sent a personalized note with his proposal, and responded quickly to questions about the event. On the day of the dinner, the chef communicated with us clearly about when he'd be there and brought with him everything he needed to make our fantastic meal. The chef was very personable, shared with us why he chose many of the ingredients, and talked to us about the nutritional benefits of all of what he cooked. Lastly, the food was AMAZING! The chef provided non-vegan options for those of us who are not vegan, but we all agreed that we would have been completely happy and satisfied with the fully vegan meal. Awesome experience with Table at Home and Chef Meg. Picked our Chef from 4 proposals for my wife's 65th birthday. The Chef selection process is really easy and the once chosen Meg helped fine-tune the menu for a killer meal for six, including a special dish for our vegetarian. She arrived at our house right on time and after a brief overview of the kitchen and dinner she went right to work. Her confidence and experience was immediately evident which was reassuring as I had never done anything like this before. The dinner was served at the designated time and all three courses were delivered flawlessly. Meg was pleasantly interactive with everyone, answered questions about the food/cooking, and easily fit into our family setting and the celebration. At the end - our kitchen was meticulously cleaned - it was almost like Chef Meg was never there. To have a wonderful meal in the comfort of home and not worrying about the preparation, cooking and cleanup allowed our family to have hours of precious time together that seems so hard to come by in the busy world of today. We are very happy with the service provided by Table At Home. In addition to the ease of their website for someone with limited tech abilities, there were very responsive to my last minute request in which I received two offers. We communicated with chef Neil who was very personal in his responses and amenable to accommodating our needs. The service took all the stress of calling and vetting several chefs that I would have to find myself on the internet. I also want to totally recommend Chef Neil who was amazing, personable, professional and helpful. I am usually a picky eater and essentially had the meal geared to my husbands preferences as it was his birthday. However the meal was great! Everyone was impressed. The vegetables were fresh and home grown and everything thing was made perfectly. We worked with Chef Abyssinia in the Hamptons for a dinner for 6 people and a toddler and she was wonderful - I would highly recommend her to anyone and will book her again in the future. She is a rising star private chef! The menu was: Red snapper ceviche, surf and turf with loaded twice baked baked potatoes and bananas foster for dessert. Everyone at the dinner party loved every coarse, each item was more elevated than we would have been able to cook ourselves and was definitely restaurant quality! It was so great to not have to set the table or clean up as well. She was friendly and great about answering any questions we had about the meal but also letting us enjoy our party without interruption. The entire Table at Home experience was excellent start to finish. The chef I selected,Marijiana, was superb in every way. We planned an elegant family dinner and she prepared the most sumptuous feast for us. The quality of the food was outstanding and her unique ingredients and creative use of spices made for the most delicious Mediterranean meal. The "loaded hummus" was amazing, the Mediterranean salads, the grilled meats of tenderloin, lamb and chicken were divine as was the striped bass in a flavorful and savory Shakshuka sauce. She topped it off with best carrot cake on the planet!! Her attitude could not have been more helpful, collaborative or sweeter. After review, I picked Chef John Pastor based on his excellent reviews. He did an AMAZING job, I will definitely look to hire him again for our next event. Had dinner for 6 to celebrate my Mom's 75th birthday 2 weeks ago. Chef Massimo cooked the most incredible meal! My Mom was SO happy and loved the entire evening. From appetizer to dessert, the food was amazing. Massimo brought his wife to help out and they were truly the nicest people. We enjoyed their company and conversation as much as the meal. The meal prepared by Chef Jacqueline was excellent. The kitchen in our vacation rental wasn't the best, actually for a house that size it was horrible. However, despite that set back Chef Jacqueline pulled off an amazing meal. Connected with Chef Tiana who suggested and prepared an AMAZING meal. From the brie and raspberry filo appetizer to the crab stuffed salmon to the bourbon apple tarts, it was truly fantastic.
