Every sprinkle color you could imagine. It was heavenly.
    Emma Z.

Delightful boutique with lots of goodies for baking and decorating edible treats. Plenty of things you don't usually see in a brick and mortar store, like large tubs of several colors of fondant, sprinkle variety mixes, pre-made fillings, and other specialized items. It was really fun to just browse the selection and use it for inspiration. Somehow this was my first visit, despite the fact that I used to work close by and stop in this shopping strip fairly regularly for dinner. (Admittedly, that was in my pre-baking days.) I came in with a few baking projects in mind and was able to find the finishing touches from their selection. Also staff was friendly, and I wish they had more information about the classes other Yelpers have written about because I'd love to sign up.

Inside of store from my Feb visit

I was initially elated when I found out that this store was so close to me. My first trip a couple months ago I was only to get half of what I needed because they didn't have everything in stock. The store is a bit tight and jumbled with all the supplies. No biggie. I know they were just moving between locations. However, today on my 2nd trip there I received a $60 parking ticket because the store has ONE parking space. I should've double parked like the guy who entered the store at the same time of me. He blocked in a set of cars next to the store until the person left from the one space and then he took it. All other merchants have cones lined up in the subsequent spaces which are reserved for their customers. There is a parking lot at the end of the road infront of their old location and I parked in a space that said little bits shop. Do NOT park here. I made this mistake not realizing I needed a "special permit" to park there. I did mention to the clerk I believe her name is Ally, when I came in the store how difficult I found it to park and where I ultimately parked she didn't mention anything other than apologizing for the construction. When I bought my items and left the store and saw I had a ticket. I was in the store less than 7 min (if even that long). After I got to my car and saw the ticket. I called to ask her was I supposed to get something from their store to put on my dash as I looked around and saw other cars had that. I failed to notice that before. She said that the store was still working out the parking situation and that she would need to talk to the owner. Because they didn't have permits for parking. She noted when I mentioned my parking issues when I entered the store initally she thought I meant I had found a space in front of their old store location not the lot. Which isn't what I said at all. I will also flag those spaces were full and the other had a cone in it for the Liberian restaurant. So my $75 trip to the store to get supplies for a last min order ended up costing me so much more. With the $60 ticket. :-( She said she would check with the owner about what they can do. But I have a feeling I will end up just paying it. It goes up to $80 and then $110 if you fail to pay within a short time. Also I could request a court date. But that's also SUPER annoying. They have downsized the store space and so things are still a bit haphazardly on display. I didnt take pics today of the inside of the store. I was in a rush. They were also changing the display from where the Easter merchandise had been previously. I'm sure much of disorder is from customers putting things back in the wrong spots. I did find a few cookie cutters in the wrong boxes. The Americolor soft gel section is a bit of a mess. I'm not complaining because on a day like today they were a life saver. I called to make sure they had what I needed before I arrived and they did. I just think the owner could benefit from: 1) Having associates organizing the store in their down time to make sure when I reach for a llama cookie cutter I don't pull out an apple one instead. 2) Address the parking situation or offering permits to customers as the average time in the store is possibly less than 10 minutes. Have clearly marked signs inside the store OR at least on the front door of the store. I just happened to park in front of the sign that didn't have anything taped to it explicitly outlining you would get a ticket if parking here without a permit. Again noticed all of that after I got the ticket. Ugh!! One space designated for customers is unrealistic. I was so annoyed, I wanted to return all of my items, because they cost me a little more than the ticket. If I had not been jammed up needing to make a last minute cookie order for a client that's exactly what I would've done. I will think twice about coming to this location given the very difficult parking situation and it's right next to a huge constructions zone so it's a total cluster. In hindsight it's easier for me to order direct from Americolor/ CK and Amazon. I blame myself for not paying closer attention. But you've been warned. Shop/Park at your own risk!

Found an amazing variety of sugar flowers for my unicorn cake.

I came across Little Bitts Shop when driving around the area and putting in my GPS "cake supplies" - I'm so glad I did! This is an amazing small shop. And although prices are a bit high, the variety is great and customer service is superb. I needed to bake a unicorn cake and wanted to use sugar flowers; I was able to find a great selection here plus all sort of other things including pretty edible confetti and a nice selection of cookies cutters. Will definitely visit in the future!

Exterior of store. Plenty of parking in front and the lot across the lane.

He was very easy to work with--he shared his thoughts for a menu: Appetizers -Red wine poached pear blue cheese salad -caprese basil salad Entrees -chicken Milanese -red onion jam salmon Sides - french ratatouille - grilled sweet potatoes and cranberries Dessert -assorted of cookies, cupcakes and fruits Everything sounded so yummy but I wanted one of the salads to be vegan. Chef Serge told me that he can swap the caprese salad with green beans cherry tomato and grapefruit salad (I wanted the red wine poached pear blue cheese salad!). I approved that change however, there was some confusion. I later asked if rice comes with the entree and he said that it's extra and asked if I wanted it, I said to keep the menu as is without rice but he thought that I meant to keep his original menu. When he came with the food, it was too late to get the vegan salad. I should have ask for a confirmed menu. Chef Serge and his assistant came on time to setup and offered to stay for the entire lunch but we just want buffet style and members serve themselves. My favorites were the red wine poached pear blue cheese salad and the red onion jam salmon. It was the first time that I've ordered salmon from a caterer where they've kept the skin on. I love the skin on my salmon but caterers don't keep it on. The ratatouille was tasty but some people didn't know quite what to make of it. One of my colleagues said that it has some Caribbean spices--I mentioned it to Chef and he said that he's from Guadeloupe, go figure. The desserts were okay, some mistook it for Entenmann's. He told me that he works with local bakery for desserts. Personally, I don't care too much about the desserts, my main focus is the food. I recommend Chef Serge but I think he's best for private parties. I've referred him to someone who was looking for a caterer for a holiday party. He was very flexible, positive and reliable. If you go with Chef Serge, you won't be disappointed.

I tried their burger which was disappointing. The burger itself was very badly overcooked which was the single disappointment. Honestly, it seems the burger had been sitting there for a while or they cook them ahead of time. It was not a freshly cooked burger. I don't want to focus on the burger because so much else was very good. I would give them another try.

I have had meal services with others before and this is by far the most skilled cooking of farm to table meals. I think it's a good value. One recent review I read was really not fair about "scam". That's just not true but I understand the frustration that led to a misunderstanding. I know the owner/chef was busy and working to try improve their marketing, ordering app, and communications. It's a small business so you just have to contact her directly if there is an issue and she will take care of it. I made a mistake of signing up for 4 weeks of meal delivery, and now I am out of hundreds of dollars. The first delivery was 2 days late and required multiple attempts to contact the merchant to get the ordered meals. Week 2 meals were delivered but be aware, if you happen to be in the shower when they show up with your delivery, they won't leave your meals on your secure porch and will just drive away with your order. Week 3- NO DELIVERY, NO CALL, NO EMAIL. Again, I had too contact the merchant to try to figure out where was my food. Days later got a response that they had an issue with their refrigerator and simply neglected to let me know!!! With over a thousand dollars already tied up with this merchant, I had to scramble to purchase food for my family elsewhere. Due to the "NO CALL NO SHOW" for the week 3 delivery, I politely asked the chef to immediately refund me for the remaining 2 weeks worth of food that wasn't delivered. I explained that because they failed to honor their contract, I had to make other arrangements for the meals. The merchant NEVER REFUNDED me for the remaining 2 WEEKS worth of food that they NEVER DELIVEREDA. I ended up having to contact my credit card company, and guess what? The merchant is lying to my credit card company, claiming they delivered all 4 weeks worth of meals! I am reaching out to the Office of the Attorney General and filing a fraud complaint next. Stay as far away from this thief as you can!

I thought, gee, this sounds pretty awesome, let me give it a whirl. The personal chef, in this case it was the owner Rakita, comes to your home with her own ingredients/food and prepares the entire meal for you. They do use your pots/pans and cooking utensils. The only thing they require of you is a working stove and oven, other than that, you can sit back and relax and have them cook and CLEAN UP for you. Yes, you read that correctly, they even wash the dishes and clean up after preparing the meal. They serve you the wine and all of your courses, so you literally can sit back and relax. Who's the genius that thought of this idea because I can truly get used to this!!!! I was able to choose my menu from her various selections of a prefix menu. I decided on the "Southern/Cajun Influenced" dinner. This included: Appetizers - Deviled Eggs Main Course: Smothered Chicken with Braised Collard Greens and Seasoned Potatoes Dessert: Signature Pound Cake. Everything was delicious! Granted a few issues occured with the potatoes and chicken not being cooked thoroughly, but Rakita promptly corrected the issue. The portions were plenty for 2 people to devour. I would've loved bigger slices of cake (it was jammin' on the one) but I'm a little on the greedy side when it comes to delicious desserts, so what would you expect from me! If you plan on booking this catering company for an occasion, you must BOOK EARLY! Weekends are understandably their busiest time, but if you plan well in advance I'm sure they will be able to accommodate your schedule. Also, after you do book your catering experience, make sure you request a confirmation/reminder email from the staff because I experienced some confusion on the date of my dinner. Keep in mind that they serve Hyattsville and surrounding areas. Check with IB to make sure they serve your area. They not only cater romantic dinners for 2 like I requested, but they also cater private events/celebrations, teach culinary demonstrations and wine/food pairings. IB also has gift certificates available. All and all I enjoyed my personal chef experience. Rakita was a very friendly, professional and down to earth person, who just so happens to be able to cook her tail off! Kudos to Insatiable Bites, a creative idea that I'm sure will continue to grow and grow!

The whole point of the buffet with different food options was so that the guests could choose what food they wanted and what they didnt want. Instead he just slopped tiny portions of every food into peoples plates (he also had his earbuds on the whole time and ignored people when they said they dont want something) -when we first signed the contract he said he cant work with alcohol because of his religious beliefs. we agreed with him that we wont do alcohol in our wedding since me and my wife dont drink either (we are also religious so we werent going to serve alcoh anyway) and my entire family does not drink. instead we told him we will do apple cider for toast. he said thats fine. come 5 days before the wedding, he says he will not pour the apple cider either because it "looks like alcohol". clearly he lied to begin with to get our money. i had to get some of my guests to end up pouring the apple cider which was really embarrassing because I wouldve hired workers to do this if Chef William did not lie to me from the start. -from initial contract he said he will cleanup the plates after dinner is done. we told him multiple times that the wedding venue required the plates to be scraped clean and rinsed atleast so the venue can wash them after. (there is literally 2 signs in the venue kitchen that says these exact instructions by the way). he serves the shitty food, and leaves without scraping the plates like he said he would and without telling any of us that hes leaving obviously to avoid me confronting him for all the things he lied about. -its my freakin wedding and there I am trying to call him where the hell he is. he does not pickup my calls and when i texted him asking him why he hasnt scraped the plates he blatantly lies that was not part of the deal. like what did he not lie about here? we paid him for the food+ service, he only provided absolutely shitty food, and did not provide a single of the services he said he would do. im also an idiot for signing a contract with him that had really vague wording thinking that the stuff we discussed with him over the phone is fine. also we paid him the full contract amount before the wedding which was another big mistake on my part. it gave him free reign to just straight up do whatever the fck he wanted. paid him almost $5k, only to get probably less than $1k worth of food and 0$ worth of service. and remember he also did not bring any waitstaff , he hired one random gentleman from the internet he has never met before on the day of the wedding (who he then kicked out because this gentleman tried to pour the apple cider like a good person) so like the greedy liar he is chef william pocketed the enitre $5k for himself. imagine having one of the most important days of your life, ruined by this Absolutely disgusting human being. he keeps using "religion" as an excuse why he cant pour apple cider. but why lie about it when we first hired him? why wait till 5 days before my wedding to tell I will have to do it myself. oh wait i know, if he told me that from the get go, I wouldve gone with someone else that would do the work I pay them to do, and he just wanted my money. i dont even care about the freakin money, i just wanted a good wedding day :( if anybody has any advice please let me know, I feel lost, and the fact that people can getaway with stuff like this is just not fair
