This place was surprisingly good. Service, food, menu options (many omnivore, gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options as well), mixed drinks (try the Imperial 26 if you're into mixed drinks), wine selection atmosphere, decor, parking outside and open seating in the patio and bar areas are all good. This place has the potential to be great and I think they will get there soon. They are still working out a few kinks, but so far every new thing we have experienced in the four times we have been for dinner have not disappointed (e.g. haven't gotten down standard of rarity when cooking steaks, just started offering bread and butter prior to ordering food, need to increase the number of drink menus available when busy, no lamb options on the menu, and only a mushroom risotto is currently offered). Price options vary from $7.00 per dish up to $26.00+. First night our tab came to $45.00 (with tip and tax) for appetizers, dinner, and drinks for two people. Last night we spent $110.00 (with tip and tax) on appetizers, dinner, dessert, and drinks for two people (we tried more drinks and other items). I love that the split plate charge is only $2, as well! Attire wise, this place is as casual and as upscale as you want it to be. We have seen people in jeans, prom parties, semi-formal, workout wear, and all clothing levels in between. We have not yet sat in the main dining area because the wait has been communicated as 30-45 minutes each time we've asked and there has always been open seating in the bar and patio areas. However, it may need to be our next venture with Table 26. Also, we will try to get there during lunch and cocktail hours and see what they have to offer. Additionally, we noticed there is an extra room beyond the bar area (presumably for larger groups to reserve) to explore next time. I must say, this place is becoming a favorite of ours and I hope they continue to improve. It is reminiscent of the Table 26 in Pismo Beach, but not a clone. We like it over Memo's and Bistro in Turlock, and it's an obvious improvement over Sweet River. P.S. Recommend the artichoke appetizer, any dish with their mashed potatoes, Crème Brulee (perfectly prepared and presented), and pair it with one of their tasty wine or beer options (Thank you for serving an array of Sierra Nevada beer!). read more

This was my first disappointing experience at Table 26, and it had nothing to do with the food. I went with a rather large group. All of us had eaten here before, so we already knew what we were going to order before we walked in. A bunch of tables were pushed together to seat our group. I was wondering where the menus were. Then I noticed a small piece of paper on the plate in front of me. That was the menu. At the top was a salad, and below it I saw one chicken entree, one fish entree, and a steak. There were also no prices on any of the items. So Table 26 cut their entire menu down to three entrees and a salad. I was not told about this when I made the reservation. Had I known that, I would have broken up our group or just gone somewhere else more accommodating. I ordered the steak. It was wonderful, as all my meals at Table 26 have been. But I had my heart set on the Roasted Chicken and Sausage Gumbo. Pretty much all my companions had the same impression of the experience. The food was excellent, but they would have ordered something else given the opportunity. So learn from our experience: if you have a big group, either break it up into smaller ones, eat somewhere else, or accept an extremely pared down menu. read more

I wanted someplace a little special for my husband's surprise 70th birthday party. My nephew recommended Table 26 on Geer Road. Amazing! I worked with a woman named Jennifer who found a way to allow over twenty people to attend, get separate checks, and have a wonderful meal and great time. With Jennifer and the chef, we created a set menu of four entrees and four appetizers from which the guests could choose. Salads and drinks could come from the regular menu. (The chocolate beer is terrific, by the way). The afternoon before the party, Jennifer even helped me decorate with the balloon bouquets I had purchased and the birthday napkins and blower whistles. She added some confetti to each table. Oh... And Jennifer had secured an entire private room for our party! The restaurant was also fine with me bringing in a cake from Olde Tyme Pastry. Jennifer had a special dessert table prepared for the cake. What a success! Dinner was amazing, and everyone praised the food and the beer. Nicely done, Table 26! Fantastic job, Jennifer! I'm giving it a 3 star because I've been here enough times to like it, but to want the menu to have more options!!! I'll re-rate when they start to have specials and MORE options!! Now I'll be very honest, what keeps me coming back are the fabulous drinks and fire grilled artichoke. Today I ordered the sea bass. Super expensive and feel I got fried cod not sea bass. It sat on a bed of risotto that was marinated in pork fat and butter. I was hoping for a healthier option and got nothing if the sort. I'm no dissing it completely... this way of eating maybe up so many other alley, it's just not mine. I'd like to order fish when I'd like a lighter option. If your watching your calories beware, Lol. Again, I've been here a few times and enjoyed the visits. Great atmosphere and drinks. Just done with the lack of changing it up. First time here on Monday! Recommended by a friend who says it's a wonderful place, It's their favorite in fact! However, I was not impressed I felt like I was in a daycare it looks like a classy restaurant but it is not! while I'm drinking a nice glass of wine catching up with my old time friend over a nice lunch I don't want to hear a child screaming going in and out of the kitchen and then sitting at empty tables touching silverware with his bare hands, I was completely turned off!!!! Was he touching my silverware before we got there? We had an incredible experience at Table 26 in Turlock. From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch. Cece, our server, was absolutely amazing -- super helpful, patient with all our questions, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. The food? Outstanding. Every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. What really stood out, though, was how accommodating the staff was with food allergies in our group. The owner even came out personally to help us navigate the menu and make sure everyone had a safe and delicious meal. It's rare to find that level of service and care. I'm a frequent flyer here for lunch due to working at the hospital nearby the food is good, prices are great and the service is even better...unless you come for dinner. So disappointed :( the food was "ok" served cold, overcooked steak, empty drinks, cold bread and butter, dirty silverware and glasses! It was just overall feeling like things have gone downhill here. I recently visited Table 26 and had a decent overall experience. The ambiance was lovely and the service was friendly, but I was a bit disappointed with the limited gluten-free options on the menu. As someone with dietary restrictions, it made choosing a meal a little challenging. What I did order was tasty, but I wish there had been more variety for those with food allergies or sensitivities. My daughters took me and my husband to Table 26 to celebrate our anniversary. It was my first time here and I was definitely surprised by the atmosphere. The menu was different from the other Turlock restaurants and that was exciting. I ordered the salmon and absolutely loved this plate, by far my favorite. So good!! I went there for the first time the other day and it is hand down the best place in Turlock. The food was perfection and it had a nice higher end atmosphere as well. Everything was delicious, from my steak to my son's child macaroni. They were a little on the slow side, but that's to be expected at a nice sit down restaurant.
