Specialties
Taberna de Haro is dedicated to serving the authentic cuisine of Spain. Traditional dishes from all over this gastronomically-diverse country are offered. The wine list is comprised of 325 wines from Spain, one of the largest all-Spanish wine lists in the country. Since 1998, Taberna de Haro has been a place known for delicious tapas and dishes, a rich cultural experience, spirited hospitality, and an unparalleled Spanish wine experience. Taberna de Haro has a wide following of diners who love coming back again and again for favorites such as Arroz Negro, a black paella made with cuttlefish and squid ink; gambas al ajillo, a spicy, garlicky shrimp dish with plenty of Spanish olive oil for dipping your bread into; croquetas de jamón, a classic, decadent tapa made from cured ham-studded béchamel, breaded and deep fried. There is always a different paella to be savored! Local fish such as razor clams, sardines, and whole grilled mackerel often appear as daily specials. The staff is often asked to give wine and sherry recommendations from out large list. Passionate about sherry, we offers 60 different sherries, all available by the glass. Let us make you a perfect craft cocktail in the elegant, comfortable bar.
History
Established in 1998.
Taberna de Haro is a neighborhood restaurant that serves the authentic cuisine of Spain, including tapas, entrees, sherry, and over 150 Spanish wines. The hospitality is warm and the food has integrity! Whether you choose a leisurely dinner with our famous Arroz Negro or a quick dish of Gambas al Ajillo at our bar, your senses will be gratified. Our open kitchen sends out seductive aromas of roasted Featherbrook Farm chicken, grilled fish, sautéed artichokes and griddled mushrooms - you will be transported to Spain! The Iberian ham is cut to order, the black paella is sultry, the eggs are free-range, the Patatas Bravas are hand cut, the octopus is perfectly cooked, and the anchovies are plump, and the exquisite, imported olive oil is downright drinkable. The wine list offers Spain"s most intriguing wines, and has won awards from The Wine Spectator, The World of Fine Wines, and The Wine Enthusiast as well as local awards.
