Ok ladies, don't let the bad haired condescending man child employee sully your image of this shop. The owner would never condone or endorse this behavior and I apologize yall had to endure it because that is certainly not the vibe over all. There are delicious wines, comfy chairs and a great patio. Any ladies- next time, go in that shop and ask for Bob! If he's not there, tell Gayne (Becky with the good hair ‍ ) you want the ladies appreciation special. HAVE FUN GIRLS!

Stopped by around 6:30pm, Tuesday, Dec 27th, 2022. Wife smoked a fat Beaty with a glass of Devils Cut coffee whiskey. I had a nice smoke (see pic) with a glass of Weller. Enjoyed our time there with the locals. Watched a little football too. $50 for the two of us. They closed at 7. We walked around Main Street puffing the last remnants.

After dinner at Hill & Vine, I really wanted a smoke and was pleased to find Tabak Haus close by. Their humidor is small but it had some great brands. I decided on an Avo Classic and a few drinks. Great bourbon selection. Proprietor was friendly and while the chairs and couches were well worn, they were comfy. Great place to drop in during the day or after dinner.

In town for a few days and stumbled on the Tabak Haus. Although it is right in the middle of "tourist central", this is a legit cigar shop/lounge. Nicely stocked and maintained humidor. There were cigars for the budget minded, as well as quite a few really quality selections. The prices are a bit expensive, but still less than the average tourist area. There are three specific seating areas, totaling about fifteen very comfortable lounge chairs. Not sure where he got some of the chairs from, but they certainly have a genuine patina on them. It took a lot of butts to make those chairs what they are. They have a really decent selection of liquor, some nice local wines and bottled beer ranging from the tame to some high octane brews. The service was exactly how I like it. Professional and friendly, but not overly so. The guy working the counter, who I am guessing is an owner, knows his stuff. Highly recommend.

Great selection of cigars and various craft beers and local wines. One of the finest cigars in stock. My go to place in 2nd night awesome

We love coming here. As a female, I feel comfortable with my boyfriend who gets excited about visiting when we are in Fredericksburg. Relax and enjoy some whiskey and a cigar!

Just a sample of their wine and beer selection! Very reasonable prices!!

Overall, 1 of our favorite food stops on this trip! Our order consisted of 1 order of bang bang shrimp, 1 spinach & artichoke dip appetizer, a shared seared salmon dish (not pictured), 1 blackberry margarita (not pictured), & 1 blueberry mule (not pictured). For me, the best part of our order was the bang bang shrimp. If I get to go back I'll just order 2 of those & call it good! The spinach & artichoke appetizer was good, but offered a pretty standard flavor profile. The seared salmon was the best salmon dish I've tasted in a long time, paring nicely with the mashed potatoes & roasted veggies that came with it. Both cocktails were amazing, but my wife said the blackberry margarita was fantastic. The most negative thing about GH was extremely limited indoor seating availability & the lack of reservations, but now you've been warned. It was a short trip for us, but we will be back to GH on our next visit to Fredericksburg for sure.

But I was treated much better on the non karaoke side. This side has a chill vibe and down to earth people. The volume of the music was at a reasonable volume so you could chit chat. The staff here were very welcoming and the gent who helped me, Doug, was very professional and fun to talk to. The velvet lounge side has quite a few "woo woo" girls screaming and the KJ and staff didn't seem too friendly or lively like you would expect. So I enjoyed the more relaxed easy going vibe on the corner side after a long day. I don't know if they have had trouble here. But the VL side seemed like a hassle with the guy at the front shaking you down and the tense vibe they give off. So this review is for the corner side only since they won me over, and I would definitely come back.

I can definitely see how some might feel a little uneasy here, as if you don't "fit the vibe" you will look and feel largely out of place which is unfortunate. Granted, that's kind of a Fredericksburg thing in general. Long story short, if you want a place that is gram worthy - this is the dream location. If you want to be relaxed and have a slower more inviting pace, look elsewhere.

After hearing that they are well known for their little B&Bs this one stood out among the rest for our weekend trip. We were going to be visiting on our 15th anniversary and lucky for us they still had some Saturday night reservations a few weeks before our trip. We originally had the Evening Star reserved but a lovely woman from the reception reached out to us upon seeing our reservation and asked if we wanted to be upgraded to the Weber House - for no additional charge! This was an absolute yes! What a nice gesture since they knew it was our anniversary - based on the questionnaire during check out. Some of the buildings are split with multiple room offerings- like the main hall- the Weber House however we stayed in was just us. We had a cute porch, living room, kitchen, bedroom, hugeeee bathroom with clawfoot tub and a screened in outdoor porch. Some of the bigger houses you can rent have room for multiple people but ours was intended for 2 people. They also have a cute library with some books and DVDs you can borrow. The property itself was VERY quiet. When we arrived we checked in at the little office upfront. The girl working even walked us to our little house since we had never been on the property before. Whoever stayed at the house the night before had broken the glass on the little table in the kitchen which was a bummer, so we could not use that, and maintenance was off on weekends. But otherwise it was the cute quaint place. Bed was comfy, central AC even though the buildings themselves pre-date that. Each one is unique too! We especially liked sitting on the screened in porch at night and enjoying a bottle of wine. In the morning they promptly left breakfast in a basket at 9am at our doorstep that was home cooked. It was a very sweet inn.
