I am writing this review based on a few situations that happened with a client that has been coming to TA Nail Bar for over 2 years regularly every 3 weeks for manicures and pedicures.
There was a circumstance on 6/10/2026 that happened at an appointment where nail tech Merry had told the client that the manicure service would be free as the client was unhappy because she didn't cut the nails or massage, only soaked their hands in the water. Then at checkout, the client explained that they were told the service would be free due to it being unsatisfactory. The client went to check out and was told that it was not free and there was a miscommunication and that they are being charged for the service. Merry was at the checkout counter, yelling at the client and claiming she did not say that. The client didn't want to create an issue and paid for the services, as they do each time and rescheduled an appointment for 7/1. After that appointment, the nail tech Merry had called and left a voicemail with the client and send the following text message on 6/12/2026:
"im not feel comfortable to work with you anymore. i tried so hard to work on you but you never happy with my work.. so move on. hope you find someone who better than me. Thanks
I don't want to take you anymore. if you have an appointment on july so you should come but someone will take you. thank you! bye
bye
don't bother me.! bye"
On Wednesday 7/1 the client had a scheduled appointment at 9:45am and due to the above text message assumed would see someone else.
The client spoke to the manager Twee, and Twee stated that a tech can refuse services and that someone else would be seeing the client. The client asked to see David, but was told that David was unavailable. At 10am, Twee stated that there would be a nail tech to see the client but it was going to be 20 minutes. The client asked for the tech's name so they knew who would be seeing them and she didn't want to give her name. At 10:30am the tech that was supposed to see the client, told the client that she was booked for the day and would not be able to accommodate the client.
After 45 minutes past the scheduled appointment time, the client had waited and was told that everyone is booked and that no one is unavailable that day. The client walked out and ended up having to go to a different nail salon to be serviced.
There have been a couple of times Merry was sharing personal information regarding other nail techs that work in this establishment, including David stating that he is "gay" and pulling up his personal Facebook account on her phone and showing pictures of David to the client and making comments about him. This is extremely unprofessional.
These interactions are disappointing and disheartening as a regular client to TA Nail Bar, and as someone to even follow them when they relocated to Buckeye as the services were done well, says something about the business. But after these interactions, that is no longer the case.
Unfortunately, the client will not be returning due to how they were treated here. read more
