Unfortunately, we are now facing the same issue for a second time. The vehicle has once again required battery-related repairs and has now been out of service for more than two months. What is most concerning is that on both occasions the vehicle lost all power while traveling on the freeway. This was not merely an inconvenience--it was a significant safety concern. Thankfully, both times I was close enough to an exit to safely maneuver the vehicle off the roadway. Had that not been the case, the outcome could have been far more serious. When purchasing a luxury vehicle, there is an expectation that the product will be reliable and that the ownership experience will be supported by a high level of professionalism, communication, and customer care. Unfortunately, our experience has fallen well short of those expectations. After two major battery-related failures and more than three months of cumulative repair time, we have lost confidence in both the vehicle and the dealership's ability to resolve these issues satisfactorily. I drove off the lot and my motor started knocking minutes after leaving. After returning to the dealer hours after waiting for their tow service all I got were the service gentlemen at the service dept scratching their head like they had no clue. I asked if they atleast test drove after and of course they didn't. I was never given clear or consistent answers about what was happening with my vehicle. After 10 days of waiting, I was told that my car needed a new engine and that the dealership had decided not to perform the repair. I was left with a broken-down vehicle and no real solution. What was even more frustrating was the complete lack of follow-up from management. Service Manager Mark Interlicchia never returned my calls or reached out to discuss my concerns after I brought my vehicle back. My service advisor, Danny, was polite but was never able to provide clear explanations or updates throughout the process. When you purchase a luxury vehicle, you expect a certain level of customer service and accountability. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below those expectations. I would have appreciated honest communication from the beginning instead of being told my vehicle was almost ready when it clearly wasn't. I hope Mercedes-Benz takes situations like this more seriously because no customer should be left without answers or a working vehicle after spending this much money on a premium brand.
