We came across this gas station and not only that. We were able to find some hot chicken and thee best potato wedges ever. I believe Chester's Chicken is a big deal in Trona with the small towns residents and travelers. The few folks working there were so cheerful. I just wish we asked a few more questions from the locals. It's always a plus. We filled up on gas , sat and ate in our vechile not only that we went back in for some honey buttered biscuits. I devoured those on the road to furnace creek city. On the return trip back to Los Angeles as I cannot check in twice. We filled up on gas, restroom and bought a few souvenirs.

At TIS Gasoline, there's only one pump and NO 91 gas. Which makes a big difference for us motorcyclists. So, we went here to KWIK Serve that does offer 91 gas and has 4 pumps. Keep in mind- you will not have cell service here. But, staff inside are super friendly and chatted with us for a bit. As did some of the locals & other folks passing by. There's one gender neutral bathroom that is really clean & smells like Lysol.

The sweet Asian woman behind the counter saw me struggling to find cash and said she would just give me the dozen donuts. I was shocked by her kindness and promised to come back with cash later in the day. She kept reassuring me that it was okay and that I didn't need to. When I came back a few hours later on my lunch break, she was surprised and tried not to take the extra tip I had given. She was just so genuinely sweet and kind and I would definitely come back to support her. Now, onto the donuts. I got a mixed dozen and immediately was hit by how delicious they smelled. I pulled out a twisted glazed donut and before I knew it, I had inhaled it. The donut was so light and fluffy with an actual crisp to the outside and the perfect amount of glaze on top. I think I actually like it more than Krispy Kreme and it was one of the freshest and most delicious donuts I've had in a while. My mouth is watering thinking of it now. The WORST service hands down. Mather Bros supplied us with a freezer and bags of ice. One day we go…read moreto get ice and all we have are bags of water. We are told it was a new unit and it was very unlikely it had a problem. We had three LICENSED electricians tell us that there was without a doubt power and everything was fine on our end. Weeks later Mather Bros get a tech here and we are told that a GFCI on an entirely separate circuit was the problem and it was therefore our fault and we were stuck with the cost of the product lost. We explained that we turned the power off to that circuit and the machine was still running. Come to find out not only is the tech they sent not licensed in the state, he isn't licensed AT ALL. We have the freezer checked and refilled with bags of ice and it happens yet again. Mather Bros picked up the unit and was completely disinterested in working with us or anything we had to say. Save yourself the time, headache, and money and go LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE. The company we are with now says these machines go out all the time because of the heat. Thanks Mather Bros.
