I live at a senior retirement establishment and am over 80 years old so when I say the best manicure I have EVER had I mean it ! They also do men's manicures and good haircuts for both men and women. They can be busy at times so try to make an appointment. read more

The owner did my nails, she got very upset with me because I asked her to change the polish. I asked to change the color because the one I chose from the sample pallet looked much different when she put it on, ( neon pink). She proceeded to let my nails soak for about 30 minutes. It never takes that long. She was very loud in telling me she "didn't have time for this" also saying, "I'm already having a bad day as it is ! " She told me that it was my fault because I chose the color. I offered to pay extra, she said " It's not about the money, now I have to do it all over again !" She did a very messy job in removing the old polish AND then applying the new polish. It was very embarrassing being treated that way, everyone could hear the way she was rudely scolding me. Her name is "Holly", the owner and showed very unprofessional attitude. I've always tipped well here in the past. No paying customer deserves this. read more

Well my nails looked nice at the end but the woman burned my legs with the hot towel, the water was way too hot on the towel and in the pedicure bowl, then she tried to dig out an ingrown nail till bloody and when I asked her to stop told me to sit there and be quiet. Finally I demanded she stop and she called me a baby. Ha!! Anyway, at least they have a great stylist there but I won't return!!! read more

I had gone to this place for a few years. At one point they changed ownership. They were nice enough and did decent work. However, under the new ownership, they place started to get dirtier and dirtier. I had them wax my legs a few times, however, you're supposed to use a fresh stick with each dip. They use the same one though. That means germs from others are mixed in there. The last time I went in there, they were very busy. I was fine with that and willing to wait. That's the price you pay for normally being able to just walk in. However, I was waiting for a very long time when a very loud woman came in and began walking to the back. An employee escorted her to a pedicure chair and began filling it. Um, maybe he was just going to let her sit there, but how about letting her know there were people in front of her. I left and won't go back. The employee noticed I was leaving and tried to call me back. No thanks, dirty place. read more

Welp I had to wait about 45 min before the guy even acknowledged my presence. The place isn't as clean as a typical nail salon and they don't take their hygiene as serious. They didn't do such a good job on my nails. (I got acrylic with a matte accent) and the guy did it WAY TO SHORT bc I like my nails long and he didn't even ask how long I wanted them to be. later he asked if the length was ok WHEN HE HAD ALREADY STARTED. Overall I hated my experience and I'm pretty sure you can find another place for cheaper. read more

I went in without an appointment. Was immediately seated and my pedicure began. I picked out a color that I thought would be suitable to my skin color. The gentleman (I use that term lightly) seemed very preoccupied. I have leg hernia's and a benign tumor in my leg. I not very self conscious about them but when he starts pushing on them and pointing to them, needless to say I was embarrassed. Basically the enjoyment was gone. Next I just needed a fill, which should have been easy right? Nope, he proceeded to put to much power on and when I said that they looked really think, he proceeded to lift up the filer and shake it at me. I guess I pissed him off cause my nails are lumpy with tiny bubbles though-out. I just paid for the service and was just going to leave when he was insulted that I did not leave him a tip! Been to this place several times. Last time, the girl doing my nails put her fingers in her nose and was about to continue when I asked if she was sick. She then went to wash her hands. She had been lying down on the couch when I walked in and sniffling during the mani. This time, the guy didn't clean under my nails, even after I asked, and didn't even do lotion or a massage. They will rip you off here. I've been going to T Nails for about a year for my pedicures and they have been double charging my credit card. My bank noticed it after my credit card had been compromised and they were reviewing my charges. I immediately went to T Nails in an effort to allow them to make it right. They denied it even though I brought my credit card statements as evidence. I really got the feeling that this is standard operational practice here. I will NEVER go back to TNails In Castroville again! I went in yesterday and asked for some pretty white glitter French manicure for my daughters wedding shower this weekend.Having only ever done solid colors, I told the woman what I wanted and that it was my daughters wedding. She said it would look best to do the white powder glitter. I have them done but you could clearly see the nail she glued underneath. After showing some friends and family and being told they shouldn't look that way, I call to make an appointment to have them fixed the following day. I make appointment with Holly. I show up for my "appointment" and I get told that I received exactly what I asked for. I told her that I don't like that you can see the nail line very clearly and even my own customers told me at my job that my nails shouldn't look that way. I was told that the only way to fix that problem is to do half white and half pink. I didn't want half white! I simply wanted white glitter tips like I've seen 100 other women have and always looked nice and elegant. Not wanting half white half pink nails, I ask if they think adding more glitter would cover if, if not I'll just have them painted a solid color. I get told that yes, simply adding glitter will cover it. Even though I had made an appointment with Holly, I was sent back to the same woman who did my nails the day before. She puts on one quick coat of white glitter and leaves to do someone else. One coat did not cover the line but at this point I was done with TNails in Castroville. The nails were rough and bumpy. I know they were talking about me the whole time I was there. If you want a very simple set of solid color nails, I suppose TNails in Castroville is ok. As for me, I have an appointment with a different salon to have them just paint my nails a solid color and be done with it. It's my daughters wedding and I am not showing up with half ass crappy nails. Especially after already paying $50. I do my nails every two weeks with all my girlfriends. I guess from now on we will all be going to TNails in Hondo. What a joke! read more

I have been getting my nails and pedicures at this shop for about 15 months. I was happy with their work, and never went in for a broken nail until Satuday, 5/24/2014. When I broke a nail I always just glued it or filed it down until my next visit. The nail I broke on Friday was not fixable so I went to the shop on Saturday morning as soon as they opened and ask the man that owns the shop to fix it please. After must discussion among themselves he went to filing my nail. He filed it so fast and rough that he was filing the skin around my cuticle and it hurt, which I told him. He stopped filing and then just put gel polish on my nail. I asked him if he shouldn't put the powder on it and build it back up like the other nails but he said there was no need, my nail was long enough. So I said okay, just finish it then. After the gel polish was dried, he went to rub it with alcohol and my finger burned so bad I yelled at him. He was clearly mad that I asked him to fix a nail. The next day I returned and showed him the blood spot at my cuticle and he just doesn't care. I will never set foot in his place again, and today my finger still hurts. read more
