Why didn't I get a phone call asking me if I wanted ANOTHER stylist to do MY hair? Why didn't someone tell me my stylist wasn't coming in? Why would you ONLY SET ASIDE 30 mins for a cut, layers, retouch highlight & straightening???? Are u kidding me? Result: I walked out and will never go there again! I took her suggestion, but then assumed this was now going to be a $100+ morning. So I sat under one of those heated vents for a while as she took care of another client. All I might've asked for is their wifi code, as service was pretty shotty. That said, I could've spoken up! Back to it! I told her that I just wanted to take the ends off and then angle some of it, and she went to work! She was friendly and not pushy, I felt really comfortable and welcome in this salon. I mention that, because I tend to feel really awkward in salons. I'm a low maintenance gal, so this type of thing isn't something I'm confident about! She finished up and I absolutely LOVE everything she did. She is amazing and I love her now haha. Just kidding I'm not a creep, but I am incredibly happy with it. And not only do I love my hair, but... I got the shampoo/conditioner... a deep conditioning treatment... a blow dry... AND style for $75. This is now my "place". Thank you!!!!

It felt like there was either a miscommunication or my request just wasn't taken seriously. What made it worse was that despite not receiving the service I asked for, I was still charged full price ($200+). There was no effort to adjust the cost or offer a solution, which didn't sit right with me. The staff was polite, but overall I left feeling frustrated and unheard. For the price you pay, I expected better attention to detail and customer satisfaction. I hope they improve their communication and accountability in the future.

I asked her to cut it and during the cut she said the scissors weren't sharpened, Now that isn't inherently bad but my hair I felt was cut far shorter than I intended. And the bangs were not what I wanted either. I am not one to speak much about my hair when it's getting cut but I just feel very disheartened by it and while hair grows back, this memory won't be forgotten. Just very disappointed, depressing and sad all around. Brought me to light tears. At the cost of almost $100 I would expect better professionalism when it comes to a customer's hair and making sure you're cutting it according to their wishes. My experience was the complete opposite and I would recommend this salon to anyone! I was interested in a consultation for extensions and had first made an appointment with someone off Stone Oak Pkwy who actually ghosted me THREE times with no apology, no valid explanation - I took time off work for her each time, and each time I showed up, the doors were locked with a note that she had to leave. No phone call, no apology, nothing. Someone then recommended Benjamin and Desiree, the extensions expert, to me and I was able to get in the same day. She was very helpful and thoroughly explained my options, and I decided to go with a topper instead since my hair is pretty thin. She had the topper ready for me in a day, much quicker than even she had estimated. I went to pick it up and she taught me everything I needed to know about placement, care, and styling of the piece. She also trimmed and styled it to make it blend in with my natural hair, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome! No on can even tell it's a topper, but they do notice I've done something "different" and give me many compliments. Even the stylists at my regular salon were amazed at how good and natural it looks after I went in to show them. The staff are all friendly and accommodating, the salon is very clean and minimalistic in design, but comfortable. I cannot praise and thank Desiree enough for the service she provided me, and I will definitely go back to Benjamin Hair & Co, especially for addressing my thinning hair. Truly the best! It was a Groupon for haircut, deep conditioning, and single process color. The hairstylist (Michelle) suggested I should only do the roots so I did. She wasn't very personable to begin with but her work matched her energy. When she was dying my hair she was staining my hairline which I know many hairstylists "clean up" after but she was just blobbing it on all sloppy and I could see the dye staining my hairline and ears. When she rinsed off my hair she wet my entire shirt on the back (see photo). Even after I was done and she "cleaned up" my hairline I have black hair dye all over my hairline and ears. Safe to say I will not be returning here, ever. To make matters worse, Groupon was paid in full and she charged me an extra $25 for idk what bs but I didn't care at that point. I'm never going back!
