This is a great salon! We came in for a couple's pedicure, and it was a wonderful, relaxing experience. They took the time to do a great job and they really were terrific about cleaning off my calluses. I also had a full dip manicure here twice, and both times they came out beautifully and lasted well. I have a tenancy to pick when my nails start to grow out and lift, but the sets I got here lasted two plus weeks each. What an interesting trip to the salon my daughters and I had. We had been to this salon multiple times before and generally had good experiences but things are a little wonky lately. There were four of us that came in. I had a pedicure and it was good. The lady was kind and gentle. After she was done another lady came and looked at my nails and decided to redo the design which was fine. I was charged $35 for the pedicure and $5 for a design on my big toes so $40 total. My teenager got a pedicure and got gel polish. A $35 pedicure and she was charged $50 total so $15 for gel polish. We were told it would be $5 but she paid and moved on. My 11 year old daughter had her nails painted a solid color and was charged $5. My 6 year old got her fingers and toes painted a solid color and got a flower on her thumbs/big toes and polka dots on her fingers/toes. Generally when she's had her nails done this way it's $5 for the design and $5 for the polish making it $20. However this time a man who was doing someone else's nails got involved when we went to pay and changed the price to $30 saying I had to pay for the dots separately. I was confused about the change and asked if the prices had changed and he got visually upset and started being super rude. I paid for the nails and asked that two of my daughters be fixed because when the top coat was applied it smeared the dots and he went off. He was talking down to me, belittling me and raising his voice at me. We waited for my daughters nails to be done and left. Just before we left one of the women who had actually done our nails returned the $10 price difference to me which I just returned as a tip but this was a really uncomfortable trip to the salon. This was so unnecessary and ridiculous. I've had this man do my nails before and never had an experience like this so maybe he was having a bad day? Regardless, I was paying for a luxury service and experience and instead got belittled and yelled at by someone who never even helped me because I asked about the sudden change in price. There is NOTHING worse than making an appointment for a pedicure at 10:15 for 3 people only to have one person here to do pedicures AND as other people came in with later appointments, they were taken before us... So updating my review its been 4 months now and overall well-being has not been great. I was happy my first visit but over time I made apt with a nail technician never got who I requested. My nail polish always fades for being gel my last nails looked down right awful steaks just old polish I ask my manicurist is this how the paint is? Oh it dry better? Next day 2 nails fell off? Huh? Last time my thumb I just thought oh maybe it's me don't be so cheap lol so I went back I'm not sure what, why its happened 3 times altogether so I only had 1 good visit? I pay way to much for this to happen I left and got nail fill plus design in the bay for this. I've been here a few times to get my nails done... 1st off they never are true to their appointment times (I have been stuck waiting for 30 minutes multiple times) 2nd I've had friends leave with horrible nails (still wet, with missing chunks) and I have personally left with bleeding fingers and messy nails. 3rd the ladies doing the nails aren't very hospitable... I've had a lady boo me after she ripped a hangnail off that she created. i explained in the picture, and mind you i got these nails done as a birthday gift from my mom. i was very upset, i walked out almost in tears. i told the lady about 8 times that i wanted pink, and she put white. i kept trying to correct what she was doing wrong and she kept doing what she wanted on MY hands. my mom paid $55 for nails that aren't even close to what i wanted. i also asked for them to be longer and she cut them the length she wanted them to be. the acrylic on some of the nails is not evenly applied. i'm very upset. read more

Very unhappy with my service. Called ahead of time and asked how much a pedicure was and I was told $25 and up. Went in there for my first time today. I told him I was paying with a credit card and he quoted me $35. He handed me the color wheel to choose my color and I picked a pretty hot pink. He then asked me if I wanted the gel color instead of the regular polish and I said no thank you. He didn't clip all the skin off my toes, painted my toes/skin and didn't clean it up. He never really spoke to me just kept smacking my feet and legs. He spent more time rubbing the lotion than actually massaging. My big toes where clipper crazy and too much was clipped off the left toe. The right big toe goes to a point. At the end as he was going to paint my toes, he pulled my pant legs down with such force that he almost pulled me off the chair. He put 2 coats of the pink then walked away to clean up his station while my toes dried. Came back to apply the top coat then instantly put my sandals on and shoo-ed me out of the chair to go pay. He ran my credit card then handed me the receipt to pay. Total was $40. When I said something to the other guy standing there that I was quoted $35 he said oh no that's when you pay cash. I reiterated to him that I told him before my feet hit the water that I was paying with a credit card and was quoted $35. They never adjusted the $5 then demanded I leave them a $10 tip. I didn't leave a tip. After I got home, which is a 30 minute drive, I noticed that the polish on a few of my toes are messed up. I called to see what they could do and I was told to either come in right that second and get it fixed. When I said that I live 30 minutes away I was told I'm sorry there's nothing I can do to help you then. I'm sorry the facility was clean and orderly but there customer service was absolute crap. read more

I am all for supporting local businesses, especially in the time of Covid. But that dosen't mean patrons have to put up with the WORST service ever. T-Nails (yeah, I'll piss some of you off with this post) messed up my nails so bad today. I went in for a regular FILL. I made an appointment for a fill. When I walked in I said I wanted a fill. Not a full set, just a fill. I have thin nails and do not want any extra damage to the nail bed. I sat down, I told the lady again, "Just a fill. White tip, Fench." She proceeded to grind off the top layer of gel coat. Ok, not a problem. Then, she asked me what length I wanted. I told her to just shorten them a little, they were getting too long. So, she grabs what looks like a Labradoodle nail clipper and starts ripping off the ends of my nails, not looking! Then realizes she went way too short AND ripped 3 of my nails in half right down the middle. She says, "When was the last time you had new tips?" I said, "I just get fills. My nails don't break or lift, so there's no reason to." She said I needed new tips and then proceeded to rip off my fucking nails! I was in shock. She didnt ask, didnt admit she fucked up, just started ripping them off to cover her mistake. (If you dont know, nails have to be soaked in acetone before taking off, not just rip them off.) She bruised a few and one thumb nail, she was so aggressive with, started bleeding from under the nail bed! I told her that was it, I didn't want to put chemicals and glue in my freshly ripped off raw nail beds. She said, "Oh no, I just do a manicure! No tip!" I said, "No, I came in for a fill. How much do I owe you. I'm done." She got all pissy, I paid her $10.00 for ripping off my nails and left. I have NEVER walked out of a nail salon in my life! Unfortunately, this is the best nail salon Amadoe County has to offer, so back to Placerville I go! Back to Placerville to NAILS BY BECKY! It's worth the 50 minute drive. read more

So I have have been here twice now and I really like the people that work here. They are friendly and take time to make sure you are comfortable and having a nice visit. Mind you a little more pricey but you do get that added time spent especially with your pedicures. so it's worth it they are not in such a hurry to get you out the door you actually have a relaxing enjoyable time. This is by far the best nail salon in Amador. The shop is super cute and it is very modern and up to date with nice massage chairs and a ton of polish colors to choose from. The owners are always super friendly and nice and they make sure you are taken care of. I see Tim for my manicure, he is very tedious but also quick. My gel polish stays on for longer than 2 weeks when Tim does my manicures. He is the best!! I would definitely recommend coming into T-nails if you need your nails done! read more

I've been back a couple times now, once for just a mani along with a relative, once for a mani/pedi (Hawaiian). Though the shop did offer to comp me a Hawaiian redo, I declined and have been in without mention of my first visit and paid for my services. It's the only way to know what service will really be like. I (and my relative) have received far better service than the first time I went in. Both times water was provided at the beginning of service, which is really nice. My recent Hawaiian pedicure was far longer than the first time and delivered on everything in the description, and my tech was on top of getting the massage chair going. Since my original review, the shop has put floor fans around, which seems to have solved the fumes issue. My relative liked it here, so we'll be back for manis and I will be back on my own for pedis. read more

OK so this is a mixed review. 4 stars is for my pedicure. I got the deluxe ($30) pedi, my friend got the classic ($25) one. For my extra $5 I got exfoliated, lotioned with some sort of cooling lotion that was fabulous, calluses taken care of, a paraffin dip, cuticle and nail trim, and polish. My friend basically just got the foot soak, some lotion, and her toes done. So...spend the $5 extra. She did enjoy the basic version though. The chairs are comfy, the ladies who did our pedis were amazing. 1 star for this: I had acrylics I needed to soak off. I soaked while they did my pedi. They then directed me to a man (I didn't catch his name) who did the most rushed take-off I've ever experienced. He used a metal tip drill, which is fine, but he would drill for so long on each finger that he kept burning me. I asked him to just cut and buff my nails. He left a bunch of acrylic on the nails, which I've been picking off all day because it looks horrid. Lesson learned, never do a soak off here. Pedis only for me! read more

I asked for a polish change today on my toes. I had a horrible experience with a man that ordered me to sit down when I tried to look at polish colors. He painted thick coats of polish on my toes and when it dripped off my toe , he was frustrated with me. I have never been treated in such a rough manner. It was awful!
