During the consultation, as Sriram (2021) observed, Rob "took notes of the locations where I wanted the drops, estimated the length of each run from the networking rack, and how the drops would be wired, carefully noting the number of cuts needed." Indeed, watching Rob in action is impressive--you can see him map, anticipate, and solve problems, as if he can "see" behind the drywall, identifying the cleanest and most efficient pathways. I was told the technician would drop it by. It never came. No contact from them. Call today and was told by robot I would have a 2-hour wait to get through by phone. Frosting on the cake was I got a $30 increase on my bill, after I was told I would get a discount for the lousy modem over the last week. If I haven't had as bad experience experiences with a couple other providers, I would have dropped them long ago.
