Shawn took care of me immediately I dropped my phone in the sink and quickly grabbed it, all the functions worked but I put it in rice to be safe. Well, the cure was worse than the actual incident because a piece of rice got stuck in the charging port. The phone was fine but unchangeable . Avoid this franchise store at all cost. The staff is incredibly lazy and prefer to spend their time in the back playing video games or sitting around in the front joking with each other while ignoring customers. My first experience on my first visit was with a dude who had no idea of any of the details of the service plans and another dude finally got off his butt to help him although he did so reluctantly. Visit two when I actually tried to change carriers and get a new phone involved about an hour where the dude couldn't get stuff set up claiming there were issues with their tablets and asked me to come back the next day. Since I had serious fonts about the competence of these guys I went to the an actual t-mobile store. Since I had started the transfer process at this location, when I went to an actual t-mobile company store, I had to finish the process with these dudes. So after visit three to this franchise store and finally getting the new phone and turning my old phone in, I started to text friends. None of them recognized the number. Turns out the dude was too lazy to port my number over since he spent most of the texting his buds and not porting my number while I was at the store. Now I am getting responses from t mobile claiming my old phone was not turned in. Even though, the dude, took my old phone in between texting his dude buddies. If you want to feel like doing business walking into a frat house where the dudes are playing video games and enjoying some beers while you get a new phone, then this is your place. If you want to get a new phone and have a knowledgeable staff with competent management on-site, avoid this place at all costs and go to the actual t-mobile run store a mile or so away in the Gator Hole Plaza with the Home Depot and Walmart. read more

I received a flyer from T-Mobile saying my wife & I could get 2 lines for $27.50 each. I called & discussed it with their representative, he said it would be easier to go to the store so we did. When I showed the flyer to the store representative, he said we could not get that plan & would have to go with one that was more expensive! We walked out, came home & I again called T-Mobile. They promised the plan & said we could get 2 new phones so we signed up. When we received the new phones, there were NO CHARGERS with the phone! Also, there was no SIM CARD in the phones! Was told my bill would be 65. It was 77. Also learned that I was going to pay 27 dollars extra than a new customer because I had been their 30 days and didn't qualify. Was there an hour and a half trying to figure out what was going on. A The guys threw a bunch of numbers and fancy phones in my face and never ONCE got down to the fact of what my bill would be. They talked a whole lot but never said anything!! I paid my phone off and will go to straight talk prepaid. TMobile is a joke and they make their money by getting people caught in the contracts with 1000 dollar phones. Im not that gullible and will move my business!The hidden fees are astronomical. My Revelry+ T-Mobile phone's battery began swelling. We called last week and due to the defect they said they'd exchange it, that they'd send the replacement phone to the NMB Store and would call when it was ready to pick up. They hadn't called nearly a week later, so we called them. The replacement phone was in. My husband drove down there and they refused to exchange it, even though this was already arranged with corporate. The manager, Diane Hessler, was the rudest person my husband has come across in years, and he's a patient man. After wasting over an hour of his time, he came home, called T-Mobile, and they're Fed-exing the replacement phone to our home with their deepest apologies. *****This store's manager should be fired for abusing customers and refusing to honor T-Mobile agreements. read more

I waited in the store for the better part of an hour while the two employees chitchatted with their two customers. How efficient is that? My issue took literally thirty seconds to resolve but not once was I asked why I came in. Had I been here for a new plan or phone or anything that would have taken a discussion or sales pitch, I'd have been glad to wait my turn a little longer but this just sucked. Where do I even begin!? Every single month like clockwork, whether I pay my phone bill or not, my phone gets turned off. I have been asked if I'm José or Josie, been told my pin is incorrect, and been told I do not have access to my account. I have spent a almost 4 hours on the phone with customer service in two months, talked to over 10 different people in the past three days, and have been sent in the store 6 times (3 in the same day). I spend countless hours every month in store and on the phone to have my service turned on, and it's arguments every time. I made a payment on 10/31 of $55.68, called my bank twice to verify that the payment was for TMobile Prepaid and wasn't pending on my account , and have a bank statement proving I made a payment that is posted to my account. Since it is always a hassle every single month, the kind lady at customer service agreed to give me a credit for the next bill cycle. AND LIKE CLOCKWORK MY PHONE IS TURNED OFF AGAIN AND THEY HAVE NO RECORD OF THE PAYMENT I MADE ON 10/31/2019! Customer service is a JOKE! I have been told to go in store with the bank statement by management at customer service, there was nothing they could do in store. I have been asked for a three way call with my bank to get information (hell no), told that saying BB&T wasn't sufficient enough and had to give the full name of my bank (Do you not know what BB&T is?), he tried to argue that the pin I gave was wrong when indeed it's right because hello I do this every freaking month I know by now, been told to make another payment (when they cannot find my last) and I would receive a credit for the following month. HA! I have been told that before, and look where I am! Why in the world would I make another payment when they have zero record of my last!? The payment is "under investigation" and should be located in 72 hours, and until then I am without service! TMobile is a PAIN! Unless you enjoy talking to customer service hours on end, your local service provider store knowing your face and name, and love being absolutely furious for the first few days of every month...be my absolute guest. This service is for you my miserable friend! I have been nice and understanding up until this point. This has happened for months and I understand everyone is human, but every month? If I could leave 0 stars I would. This store is using unethical business practices and taking money out of customer's pockets. We traded in a paid off phone for a new one and activated a line (which was it's own 4 hour nightmare of an experience). We weren't given any information about cellular coverage throughout the whole process we were at the store (for 4 hours). Once we were home for a couple days my wife realized she didn't get service at work so we decided okay whatever we'll pay the restocking fee and return the phone she got and accept whatever the reduced offer was for her older phone. When she went back to the store they told her that she wouldn't be getting anything back for her trade in phone. They were keeping the phone, not offering any credits, and would give no payment for the device she gave them. On top of that, they're expecting us to pay a restocking fee after stealing a $300 (on the very low end) device from her! This company is extremely unethical and they are trying to hold my wife hostage to a phone plan that doesn't even work, while charging a ridiculously high price for it. So I took my number and went over to Cricket in North Myrtle which uses AT&Ts service. No contracts, low prices, amazing phone reception, and great customer service. Took my i phone in for an issue. After about 30 to 40 mins of assistance from two employees it was determined by the employees the phone needed to be replaced. Ok cool that's why I have insurance, so T-Mobile ordered a replacement. I was told by both employees that the only charge would be 5 shipping for the new phone. So once the new phone arrived I drive down to receive my new phone. After waiting for 45 mins I spoke with an employee and he brought out the new phone. This employee told me there was a scratch on my current phone and the insurance claim would probably be denied and that I would have to pay for the replacement phone. He offered no assistance and gave me the number to the warranty company so that I could contact them myself. I spoke with the regional manager Eric Benitoze who only apologized and offered no help! After over 20 years as a T-Mobile customer and having three accts with them I think it's time to take my business elsewhere! Take my advice avoid the North Myrtle Beach location!
