Jason, at this store was more than helpful and accommodating than I am used to at my previous cell company. So to have stellar customer service is something I appreciated so much. I was in this morning to just have service transferred to a new phone. Appeared service was transferred. I waited for 45 minutes. Left the store, returned because the new phone was not connecting and here I stand for another 45 minutes. Waiting is understandable but not twice in the same day for the same phone! read more

My elderly father who lives alone came to the North Myrtle location and was talked into purchasing three new iPhones and three lines. However, he was told the phones were "free". After discovering this from his bills (he is being charged monthly for all three phones & lines). I came to speak to someone about the situation. He was obviously taken advantage of because of his age and lack of understanding about technology, etc. I was treated very disrespectfully and pretty much dismissed. I was told the only thing I can do is to pay off the phones...which my father was told were FREE. This is most obvious Elder Abuse and I would most definitely NOT recommend this Verizon location. They are dishonest and extremely corrupt. read more

We just got two new phones. After getting home and looking at the next month's bill, I discovered that they signed us up for 3 things that we did not need. The extra cost would have been $696/year. After being a customer for 21 years and never insuring our phones we were signed up for $19/month per phone for insurance. One phone had a $10/month, 100 GB hotspot and the other phone had $10/month for 3 days/month of international travel. Verizon is finding new ways to to make you pay more for services that you did not ask for and do not need. Not a great way to treat a long term customer! read more

Don't go here for any your phone product needs I don't think Verizon is not a good company anywhere they seem to be the number one network So I guess they think they can screw anybody they want especially the ones that pay their bill on time as always, I trade in my iPhone Pro 11 they lost it somehow. FedEx seem to damage it but they will not put in a claim for me so I'm stuck paying a phone that I'm no longer have and I already paid it off again they don't care about you they don't care about anybody just wanna make a sale that's all they do so they can't make a sale with me because I already paid the phone, so I don't go here. I remain livid with both Verizon Personnel at the N. Myrtle Beach which seems to be reflection on what I can only term Verizon' unethical business practices and policies. I became a customer round about May, 2022, which I signed up with Hakeem. I picked the iphone 11 and requested the most basic limited service plan. Hakeem informed me that the payment for the phone would be $22.29/month and the cost of the basic limited wireless plan would cost $40/month. When my first bill arrived dated May 11, 2022, instead of being signed up for the limited wireless plan at $40/mon., I was being billed for the 5G Play More at $90/month. I immediately called customer service who for whatever reason said they could not switch my plan over the phone, but that I had to go into the store where I signed up on 605 Highway 17 N, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582, and it could be taken care of there. And then the wild goose chase began. The first time I went to the store for some curious reason I was told by various in store customer service reps, that due to some in-store computer malfunction they too were unable to switch my plan to the one I had chosen when I set up the service with Hakeem. Hakeem himself even though he was in the store never once came over to make any inquiry at all. I was there over an hour with no satisfaction or solution rendered bc I had to leave for a doctor's appointment. When I returned a second time, after another lengthy wait, I was told to to ahead and pay the now due first bill but that soon thereafter, the more expensive Play More Plan would be switched to the limited plan I had actually chosen and my bill would be credited accordingly. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN THEN BACK IN MAY AND IT STILL HAS NOT BEEN RECTIFIED TO THIS VERY DAY, IT NOW BEING AUGUST, 2022. Seems strange that a multinational telecom company remains unable to do something as simple as switch a service plan I did not request, to the one I did request when the service plan was first initiated. INSTEAD it seems Verizon is A-Ok with completely ignoring my complaints, incapable of providing me with the service plan I signed up for or correcting the mistakes their own in-store personnel have made in drawing up service contracts wherein I am being billed for the wrong service due to in store computer system problems BUT this same company and it's computer system seems highly capable of cutting my service if my bill isn't paid on time thereby kicking the can down the road while i have to continue to pay for the more expensive service that I DID NOT CHOOSE to begin with. They only conclusion that can be drawn is that Verizon, going from personnel in their store to all the way up the ladder is a company no longer guided by ethical or moral practices and instead will allow their personnel to pretend a lower service plan exists just to get the sale after which they have NO QUALMS billing for a higher tier more costly service WITHOUT ANYONE WITHIN THE COMPANY BEARING ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR AN ERROR ONE OF THEIR SALES PEOPLE MADE. The only reason I have not gone back to the store since is because I work for a living and do not have time to go back and forth or spend hours, days, weeks and months to correct a simple mistake THEY DO NOT SEEM TO WANT TO FIX. Amazing! I thought that all the reviews I read were over reacting with 1 star reviews. Turns out all the bad reviews were spot on. We walked in about 50 minutes before close to pick out a few new phones. We knew exactly what we wanted. They told us they didn't want to do new phone set ups that close to closing time. We went to this Verizon store in the afternoon, and it was very busy. We decided to try first thing the next morning when the store opened up. Our technician, Larry, was amazing! He patiently helped us with every part of the business that we needed to transact. He helped us get new phones and told us clearly about all the deals that were available. At one point we needed the manager, and she was amazing! She solved the problem with patience and professionalism. We would highly recommend this Verizon store! read more

Walked in. there were about 10 sales reps just standing around, laughing and such. That's cool. I understand the need to not work in a tight collared environment. However, the guy that helped me was more into their shenanigans than helping with my needs. He was a nice guy, after about 5 minutes. Kept calling me "bro", thought that was a tad unprofessional but hey, I am ok with it. Overall, he did install a new SIM card in my phone, which didn't fix the problem. So, after 5 minutes of looking around for a new phone, and listening to the constant roar of laughter by the employees silly antics, my sales rep came up to me and asked to try one more thing. He took my phone over and sprayed canned air in the SIM card slot and voila, my phone worked again. So, overall, my initial problem was resolved (and for free because it's a corporate office). Great place...Service was fast and smooth...only thing did an upgrade...that went very well...... only prob...was the sales rep was very very pushy on buying accessories such as...tempered glass or a cell phone case. However with this being said...the only reason we did an upgrade was due to a cracked screen and the phone was NOT in a case prior. YES the phone should have been protected BUT... Sales Reps Make their money by getting a % PER CONTRACT AND thru selling CELL PHONE ACCESSORIES. ..she was too too pushy....to the point....I almost said something to the rep. Need to Attend customer Service 101 So my mom and dad are on my plan. My mom, who is in her 70s and self admittedly not at all tech savvy, wanted to upgrade her phone. Upon entering the store, their was no warm greeting or small talk just a "what's your number?". My mom couldn't remember and the service rep got short with her and asked again which flustered her even more. It all went down hill from there. There was 0 customer service from this sales rep (African American service rep w/ dreadlocks)... no care for the customers needs/wants, no concern if she understood, no patience...It was clear he did not want to be bothered by her and her lack of technical knowledge. Here my mom was about ready to drop over $700 and he just wanted to "treat and street" her. I went with my mom to be of assistance and he even got short and agitated with me. Companies really need to remember that their sales reps are the face of their Co. one bad rep can yield a lot of negative results. This sales agent really needs to go back to training and learn what it means to offer customer service...ask thoughtful questions, show care and concern, display a little empathy and think like a customer...not belittle and act agitated in tone and body language. Over all this was a very negative experience. Should you be in need of service or have questions on how to operate your device, I would NOT recommend this location...or at least that sales rep. Seriously, my 7 year old son showed more care and had a better understanding of customer service then that sales rep. He took the time to show his grandma how to operate the basics of her new phone.
