I went to the FT Lauderdale boat show on Saturday Nov. 01, 2025 specifically to get some electronics for my boat. Scott worked with me at the GPS Store boot and provided me a quote. I told him that I wasn't sure on the model and he told me that I could agree on placing a credit card to secure the "Boat Show Pricing". Giving me 2 weeks to decide. I agreed and on Monday got in touch with Michael. After some emails with Michael( he was great cant complaint) we agreed on the devices and the quote. The order was confirmed on Nov. 5, 2025. Michael told me that the order was placed and once they receive it, they will charge the credit card and ship item(that should had been the first flag). On Nov 20. 2025, Michael sends me an email stating that the order was completed and will be ship in the afternoon. That I will get a tracking number. I got charged the cost on my credit card. Up to this point, everything is going fine. Other than needed to wait two weeks to get the items "Shipped". On Nov. 26 2025, I sent an email to Michael asking for status because I haven't receive the items ordered or even a tracking number. To my surprise, Michael sent me an email stating that "Navico" informed them that the items wont be available until the end of June 2026. Of course, sent me other models with jacked prices. I ask, what happen. The order was charged and scheduled to deliver. His response was: "It has taken us a few days to get an update on the NSX3009 bundle package from Navico. Their update is these are not going to be in stock with them to ship until the end of June 2026." I cant believe that GPS Store been such a high volume store of marine electronics, they will make this statement. I believe the issue was that someone made a mistake in the quote and GPS Store didn't want to commit to the agreed price. Specially, when you go to their site and the system shows "IN STOCK" but at a higher price. They quickly returned the charges to my credit card. Odd! Looks like I am not the only one that was suffer the same fate. read more

I thought I had finally found the replacement cover for my GPS and then found out I had ordered the wrong one after I tried to fit it. I looked on their site and saw that they did have the correct one (which I thought was no longer available) and contacted them to see what could be done. They made it so easy to order the new one and help me return the other. They had a new one on the way to me within a day or so, before I had even shipped the other one back. 2 stars because the rep was polite in telling me that it was a typo and they would not honor their product description. Description said a transducer was included, however it is not. What a bunch of bait and switch cowards this store is. Over the weekend, I was pricing Garmin GPS systems since I needed one for travel this summer. The one I found for the lowest price was $299.99 offered by The GPS Store from their web site. I was pleased with the price. I made my purchase with a valid credit card and my confirmation along with a date of delivery was then in my email in-box. Several days later I noticed there was no further action taken. Today, I received an abrupt notice that my order had been successfully cancelled for no reason. My card was fine, but no reason given I checked to see if the model was no longer available (a fair reason for canceling), but NO, when I checked, the item was still available and in stock. THE PRICE HAD BEEN RAISED ANOTHER $100.00 TO $399.99. Such crappy marketing tactics make for a terrible company that I am now happy to be aware of and can inform all you people reading to beware of the GPS Store. I am also informing them of this review along with other sites I intend to seek out thanks to their unethical actions. read more

The GPS Store sells Marine Electronics at the best prices, no tax or shipping cost depending on the items. I just purchased a Garmin 740 s from them and their customer service was outstanding. They emailed to verify my shipping address, responded back to my questions and conerns immediately and the item was shipped. Ordered brand new gp1870f. came and wouldn't power up. box looked like it was already gone thru. They would only replace shipping ground, I needed it for that weekend. Top it off they wont even cover shipping of returning the bad unit. Really??? This is how you treat customers that just dropped over 1k in your store???? Think twice before you buy from here. Update: I am changing my rating to ok. A little late but I was contacted by two other people from the store, one of them the owner who apologized for my experience. He then offered to overnight a unit to me but I have already ordered another one. I guess that counts for something. Be VERY careful when you order from them. I ordered a handheld GPS and a cable for it. Chose 2nd air because I was going out of town, it SHOULD have got to me before I left. I got an email before 4pm (4 is the cutoff for shipping) stating the cable was backordered, did I want the unit shipped - Yes I did. Fine, it will be shipped out tomorrow. Wait a minute, why tomorrow? We are still before your 4pm ship time... why not today. Now my 2nd day air was going to get it to me after I left. It took four (4) emails to get this point across to them. Price - not an issue, good prices. Shipping - not at issue $9.95 for 2nd air. Company policy - I have an issue, due to them wanting to hold my order, it had to be shipped overnight just to get it to me. BTW, I PAID for 2nd air, how does holding my item a week to wait for the cable make sense? The web-site never indicated the cable wasn't on hand. It wasn't until the DAY my order was supposed to be shipped that I was notified, and then it wasn't going to go out until the NEXT day??? I ordered the lowrance flush mount kit fm-12 from this company. Everything came on time. Here is my problem. The kit was $20 plus shipping. What i received was four 20 cent screws and paper templates which i already had from the new fishfinder. Had the discription stated what the kit came with i would have gone to the parts store and saved myself $19. I got ripped off and unfortunately the gps store has to take the blame because they sold it. read more

Read the fine print!!!! 30% restocking fee and more... Ordered from this company, to my regret, because they also have a website www.bcgpsstore.ca with a phone number local to BC, Canada. Ok so our bad right... We asked for currency and it was never specified so we assumed CAD due to the above. Ouch... Next day, realizing the mis-understanding; this company would under no circumstance cancel the order. Zero nothing... So instead of costing 350$, I ended up spending 600$ with exchange, shipping and customs. Wow this was frustrating... Had words with the company via email, and I really should copy paste the thread here because it's actually amazing how unprofessional Inge was. Literally unbelievable. So I came to terms with getting screwed, until finally the item I ordered shows up. It's got a large P (which I associate to problem) engraved with a knife in the plastic on it and DOESN"T WORK whatsoever. 100% useless paperweight.
