No accessories for phones that are 6 months old! I have an S7 edge that I purchased here less than 6 months ago. I went in to buy a new case because mine had broke. They no longer stock S7 products is what I was told. S8 JUST came out. Why would you not still have accessories for a phone that most people are still using??? Is it all about getting me to upgrade? Every time I walk into this T-mobile it seems like they do not want to be here. Walked in wanted to upgrade my husbands phone, besides this young lady listening to her music while "assisting" us, she was in no way helpful. Told us they had none in stock and didn't know when they'd receive any. I asked politely if there was another location close by where we could get one she said Roseville(there is a closer location in Sunrise which is 20min away). I asked if their was a way to check if they had any she said I had to call. Isn't it your job to help me to the fullest extent? Make sure I leave satisfied even if you didn't have what I want. As a store manager I pride myself in customer service and people now days don't know what good service is. Not impressed - felt like a bad "car buying" experience. One of my relatives was interested in getting Iphone6 with t-mobile pre-paid. It does not make a lot of sense to spend so much money on a phone when on pre-paid but this person wanted to do it. The T-mobile customer rep kept trying to force the data plan. He gave us some cock/bull story about Iphone cache gets fragmented and must be connected to the internet for the phone properly. We asked him what if we rebooted the phone - that should clear up the cache? What if we connected over home wifi? We are connected to internet right. So basically, the salesman instead of letting us buy what we wanted, was throwing unnecessary stories. Things got real interesting when we casually looked at the phone case. He wanted to sell this super big case for $90. When we said to look at something cheaper, he started to treat as some dumb people - "really smart buying $30 case to protect a $650 phone" and when the $30 case T-mobile was selling seemed way overpriced. The experience at this point was no different than car buying where the salesman is pushing for "rust protectors" etc. We ended up not buying the case. Part of the reason we were buying from the t-mobile store is we figured that they will migrate from the existing phone to the Iphone. As he was cutting the SIM card, I asked him if he had transferred all the contacts to the SIM card. He said yes. If he did, he was definitely incompetent since not all the contacts transferred over. T-mobile should fire such incompetent people - makes T-mobile look bad. Before leaving the store, I asked the representative if he could turn off data usage while on t-mobile network. The salesman again gave me some cock/bull story about the phone designed to only work with data and you can't turn this off. Came home and a quick web search revealed how to turn off data on cellular networks. And we enabled the phone to work on home wifi. Works all fine - now this person can continue using the phone but also experiment what the data plan would do for them and get familiar with things. Then when they are comfortable, they can sign up for a regular plan on their own timetable. Perfect - this is what we wanted to do without the salesman attitudes. On the whole, a really bad experience. Instead of helping the customer with what they need, all we got was a lot of grumpiness and attitude not much different than a "bad car buying experience" where the salesman keeps focusing on selling the dealer mark-up items. read more

Be aware of this store. It's like car salespeople. Everything they tell you make sure it is correct when it shows up on your bill. They started me with $300 a month to match AT&T and then all of a sudden my bill is $499 and they gave me the run-around they say talk to the store manager and store manager says talk to David or Michael. David is not courteous at all and Blake the store manager is no help. I regret switching to them I should have stayed with AT&T. read more

For starters getting good help in a wireless phone store is very hard from my experience. I have verizon myself but most of the verizon stores I've been in sacramento have been so bad. They have no customer service. My wife had verizon as well and we had to switch to tmobile because the bill was too high. I went in this store 2 days in a row and the guys here were so helpful. They gave me a detailed explanation on how the switch over would work and explained how they would cover the transfer charges that came from verizon. They stayed an extra 30 minutes after closing time to make sure the phone and all the contacts were transfered over and the phone was working before I left the store. I would definitely go back for any help and support because they made me feel very comfortable asking them a bunch of questions and they were very educated on all the plans and the phone. I didn't believe that it had good service and high speeds but it's up there with my Verizon note 4. Very happy with the phone, service, and the customer service. Keep up the good work. read more

Guys are crooks looking to make a sale. My s5 died on me and a guy gave me an on5 for "free" just the remaining balance on my s5. When I went back to clear it all up and get a new phone I found out that even though it was made to look like I was only paying for the s5 when I signed the paperwork I was in fact paying for both the s5 and the on5 (a phone I never would have purchased but made work because it was "free"). I am wavering between 2 and three stars for this review. When I went in on the 12th I was helped by a gentleman called Jamison. He was the very epitome of good customer service and helped me to start up a new account and order the phone I wanted. The bad experience came on the 19th when I called to ask about their stock of phones. My phone was answered by someone identifying themselves as "Anthony" and he put me on hold for 17 minutes after which I hung up. This is NOT a review of this particular store, but the T-Mobile company itself. We had a couple of "Pay-As-You-Go" Legacy accounts,... no contract, no statements. A few days ago, we contracted with AT&T Wireless, and AT&T performed a routine deactivation/cancellation of our T-Mobile service so we could port our existing numbers to AT&T. We called T-Mobile's billing dept. the next day to check on our account credit balances ($100+), and were informed they we would forfeit any credits due our cancellation. The only alternative we were offered was to assign the credit to another T-Mobile customer. This is common THIEVERY,... its our funds, not theirs! Apparently, T-Mobile thinks its customers are just captives, and subject to their internal rules. We signed no contract, and expected a refund of our credit balances, just as we would have from any legitimate business. We've filed complaints with the California Public Utilities Commission and the FCC. read more

I have never had a bad experience with T-mobile. They are friendly, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile for their customers. They will slowly gain ground on the top two carriers, and eventually be an equal. Not because they offer anything that much different, but because their business model is customer first. Anyone on here who has had a bad experience came in with their negativity and left with it. Too bad for them. Tmobile sells smart phones and service. If you were expecting them to pull magical glowing rainbows out of their butts, then you were mistaken. I have been with ATT, Cingular, WorldCom, Family Mobile, Virgin, and some others. This is what everyone should experience when they walk into a phone company store. Nestor, manager, was very helpful and provided excellent customer service. He laid out the details of TMobile's plan and made sure all questions were answered, and we had alot. My Dad and I both switched from different carriers to TMobile and saved quite a bit. The best part, though, is having unlimited data and 10gb of personal HotSpotness! I highly recommend anyone in the area to check out the plans that TMobile is offering and this TMobile store. This is an update to my original 5 star review dated August 12, 2016. I am removing two stars (from 5 to 3) and I must admit that I am disappointed to be doing so. When I wrote my original review, I had just left the store and had a truly great customer service experience with Rayshaun. AT&T treated me so badly at the corporate store in Palladio that I was researching a switch in carriers. I had called this T-Mobile store on August 10 with one question, "Can I take advantage of the T-Mobile FREESIM promo at the store or is it online only? I spoke with David who told me they handle that by giving an account credit. Cool, so I went in the store a couple of days later, still undecided about a switch. Rayshaun met me at the door. I explained my situation and I had a few more questions. He was outstanding. Honestly one of the best customer service experiences ever. He also noted that they handle the FREESIM promo with an account credit. No problem. I switched from AT&T to T-Mobile right then and there. I spoke with the manager that day (Blake) and told him how awesome Rayshaun had been. A great employee and very knowledgeable. I left the store very impressed and immediately wrote my original 5 star review. Fast forward to September 9, 2016. Still no credit on my account for the FREESIM promo that I had been promised twice now. I drove over to the store. Rayshaun was not in, but David was there. I explained everything to him, and even reminded him of the phone call I had with him on August 10. Again he told me that they handle the FREESIM promo with an account credit. He was very pleasant and we had a nice chat. He emailed Blake for the approval, and told me that I should see the credit on my account in a couple of days. Terrific. A bummer that I had to come back to the store, so that warrants a drop from 5 stars to 4. Fast forward to September 20, 2016. Still no credit on my account for the FREESIM promo. Again I drove over to the store. No Rayshaun, David, or Blake but I did speak with Stewart. I explained the entire story above to him, and he walked over to the manager that day (Michael) to get his approval for the credit. He said that he wouldn't take my word for it and needed to verify with Rayshaun before giving me the credit. Stewart told me that Rayshaun would be in for work in two hours and that I needed to come back then. It was starting to feel like AT&T all over again. After all, it was the store policy anyway, so why would they need one of the employees to verify a store policy? I asked them if they were doubting my word, and I told them that I wasn't leaving until I got the credit since this was already my third trip to the store. I told Stewart to simply look at my account and he could see that there had been no credit given. He looked, of course saw that no FREESIM credit had been given, and then walked over to Michael again. Poor Stewart knew what was right to do, but he was at the mercy of Michael. This time I could hear Michael begrudgingly agree to give me the credit I had been promised twice before. Once Michael gave the green light, the credit was given and I could see it in my account literally seconds later. None of that "it takes a couple of days" story that David had given me on September 9th. Making me go back to the store a third time and then making me feel like a lying customer warrants at least a drop from 4 stars to 3. Like I said before, I am very disappointed to drop from 5 to 3 stars. Such a positive initial experience with this store unfortunately ended up being something very negative. I looked up the T-Mobile on yelp and there was only one in the area and it only had 2 stars and the reviews were horrible. But I went there anyway hoping that it would be better for me. Brandon was the employee that waited on me. He did his very best and helped me with lots of free services like transferring contacts, putting on touch screen protectors. He was a perfectionist and they were flawless. Because he did all this work I felt like buying stuff. So I looked around and saw a pink car charger, and a beautiful pink leather S-4 case! And it was a bonus that I got a 3rd accessory for FREE! I am so happy with the services at T-Mobile and will always go to this store to buy T-mobile stuff. read more

This t-mobile chain is absolutely horrible. These crooks find any opportunity to rip you off. Firstly, of the 4 t-mobiles in my area, this is the only one that charges $15 for a new SIM card. Also, I went in to take advantage of the deal where they give you $300 credit towards an iPhone 7 if you trade in your old phone. After talking to them for a good hour, I went to go hand in my iPhone 5 and they literally tell me last second 'oh btw in a couple weeks if we open up your phone and it has any type of water damage you won't get the $300'. I was stunned so I asked is there any way you can check for water damage right now because I have no idea if it does as my phone was working fine. They said they can't. I left the store and went to the t-mobile in Roseville and the guy who worked there couldn't believe the atrocious service I got from this chain. He said that the water damage check should be done AT the store by looking into the SIM card slot. Moral of the story, don't go to this t mobile because you'll get ripped off read more

Let me just put this out there....I have never written a bad review before....EVER I had a Tmobile phone for 2 days, then it just stops working out of nowhere. I called Tmobile from another line to go through all the trouble shooting....nothing worked. They told me that I would have to go to a Tmobile store and I probably needed a new sims card. I explained there was no store close to me, the nearest one was an hour away...then I asked if they could ship me one (It was a Friday). Customer service said they could but they would have to ship ground which would take 3-5 business days. I asked if she could ship Saturday delivery and I would pay the cost as it was over the holidays and I had family coming for the weekend. She said she could not get authorization to do that. So I decided to just go to the store an HOUR away. I get to the store and the first guy is very attentive and trying to help. The MANAGER comes out as he is telling us how it would work to upgrade a phone, payment options, etc. while we charge my phone since it was dead. The manager stops him dead in his tracks and tells him how thats not how it works and we dont get that option because we are on a "classic" plan...whatever the hell that is. On top of it he was soooo rude and seemed more irritated that we were there dealing with a possible warranty phone. But he was VERY nice to the people coming in looking to SIGN UP for a NEW plan. So they play with my phone for a bit and realize the actual phone is defective, not the sims card. So they tell me they have to SHIP a warranty replacement to me......REALLY!!!?? This is a BUSINESS phone line I have been without it for days now. I asked if they could just give me the same one from the store and they take mine...no, not an option. The rep is still trying to help and he said the phone would be there the next day not to worry. SOOOOooo, what is the first email I get the next day???? it says, "your order has been PROCESSED, you will receive another email when it SHIPS...it will be shipped UPS GROUND!!!!!!!".....are you kidding me?????? I recently had to travel from out of state to Folsom, CA because my brother had been rushed to the hospital in serious condition. On Dec. 5th, in the middle of my trip, my phone started acting weird. It kept freezing up and I couldn't call or text with it. As you can imagine, this was the LAST thing I needed during an already stressful time. I searched online and tried several things to try and fix it, but nothing worked. I found the T-Mobile store on Bidwell nearby and stopped in praying that they would be able to help. A gentleman named Blake greeted me and I explained my situation. As you can imagine, I was pretty distraught. Blake was extremely kind and considerate, sat me down and started working on my phone. Together we puzzled out what we thought was happening. I have to stress that the issue had NOTHING to do with T-Mobile. Blake could have easily just sent me on my way. But he continued working on my phone and fixed the problem. I was so overcome with relief and gratitude I started crying. He once again was very understanding and even gave me a big hug. I am so grateful to Blake for his compassion and for being my guardian angel during a difficult time. Amazing customer service and an amazing human being. Thank you Blake. read more

Bad Business Ethics sums it up. I have been out of contract for years and have no interest signing a new one. So, I decided to buy a new MyTouch phone out right. Yesterday, the sales person insisted on looking up my account 'in case I lost my reciept so there would be a record of the purchase in the system'. I confirmed that no changes were being made to my plan and my payments would not change in any way. He confirmed. Well today I recieved a text message from T-mobile to confirm the changes to my account. When I called to find out what changes, I was informed that insurance was added to my account. I have had a cell phone for over 12 years and never once had insurance on any plan. What makes them think it is ok to just add things to peoples plans and lie about it to their face. Did they think I wouldn't notice??? While still on the phone to customer service I asked what I could do to report the issue. Come to find out this compmany, that is supposedly ranked #1 in customer satisfaction, has no formal practices in place to field complaints and curtail their retail stores from doing things like this. So with no reprocussions why wouldn't they? Now I recommend completely staying away from T-mobile! read more
