Customer Service checklist.
BJ M.

I've been a loyal patron of T-mobile, specifically the Kapolei location, for a number of years. My experiences have been rather pleasant. However, today, I was serviced by a representative named Monae, I'm pretty sure that was her name. She provided the worst customer service. Her attitude and body language were a HUGE turnoff. She made it seem as though we were an inconvenience. Granted, everyone has bad days, and perhaps that's the case here. But in any case, management should look into the matter.

No customer service. People dismiss you. Would not recommend going to this store branch for good service

Everyone is nice, but they really need to open a register just for payments. We've been waiting 30 minutes & still haven't paid our bill.

My husband needed a new smartphone and we were helped rather quickly even though a lot of T-Mobile's are closed.

We called and tlan employee told us that we needed to take our box to a location. We were happy to hear that there was a location near to us. The employee that we spoke to on the phone made our transaction smooth and getting the new box was quick and also easy to find. I followed the directions given as well as followed a map and it was very easy to find. It is on the corner of Kamaaha Ave and Fort Barrette Road. You need to drive a little slow or you could miss the driveway but not hard to find at all. It is a single stand alone one story building surrounded by a fence with a green roof. When you arrive, you need to get buzzed in. The employee who helped me inside was quick and to the point. He was helpful and it was also an easy transaction. Glad that this location was close by and that I didnt need to drive all the way to town.

Back in the day they were the designated carrier that could be counted upon in crisis situations. Very reliable service. Yes we've gone through all of their upgrades to their systems. The latest " Fiber Optics " is still full of "Bugs" that prevent the system of living up to its potential. They're switching to TiVo which means all of their customers will have to eventually switch over. Unfortunately the programming they started out with is no longer available. Your DVR is obsolete and unfortunately you'll lose all of your content. When asked they speak about Upgrading the system. But the changes have not been smooth nor seamless. We would constantly lose our connection only to watch a blank or frozen screen. Not to mention the loss of programs that they no longer do business with the parent company due to expired contracts. But yet they charge us the same price. On a positive note they're going to open a new branch in the Kamakani Ali'i Mall. Hopefully a sign of better things to come.

So I canceled my Spectrum service about a week before visiting the Kapolei store…read more I stopped in to return my equipment and ask why I was still charged for internet after my account had already been terminated. That is when I learned Spectrum does not prorate service, something I was not aware of until I asked in person. What stood out most was the in-store customer service. The representative I spoke with came across as dismissive and uninterested in helping. There was no acknowledgment of the frustration, no real explanation beyond the bare minimum, and no effort to leave the interaction on a positive note or retain a longtime customer. What made this more surprising was how different the experience was compared to my earlier call with Spectrum's mainland customer support when I first canceled. The representative on the phone did everything she could to try to retain me, thanked me for my long history with the company, and genuinely made me feel valued. It was professional, empathetic, and customer-focused. It was mind blowing that a mainland representative showed me more aloha than the local rep i interacted with. The contrast between those two interactions was striking. When someone is closing their account, that moment matters. It is an opportunity to show professionalism and keep the door open for the future. Unfortunately, my in-store experience in Kapolei did the opposite and left a lasting negative impression and insured that i wont be coming back.
