    Paying a bill in Kapolei, Oahu, Hawaii... When I went to TJ Maxx at Kapolei Commons a while ago, I noticed that Spectrum was on the corner of the main street... right by DB Grill and Consolidated Theater. I made it a point to pay my aunty's next bill here - as I had been to the busy Ala Moana location in the past... with the long wait because there were so many customers with concerns... I also tried the Windward Mall location last month, which was alright, but there was only one worker at the time, and the system had crashed. I had to pay at the kiosk. This time, the bill-paying process was much better. I easily found free parking and walked into the nicely air-conditioned, clean, spacious environment! I was called to a worker's station right away and was helped efficiently by Rae. I told her my aunty's sad story... she can never pay with a check again because her check had bounced a couple of months ago. Rae offered to place my aunty's account on automatic payment... Yes, please! What a relief! No more searching for bills in my aunty's mail... No more postage stamps... No more visits to Spectrum... Amen!

    8/2/22 9:45 am Headed to Spectrum to drop off a router. I was already 5th in line before it opened. As soon as it opened, everyone had to sign in at the kiosk. This works as you wait for your number and you don't have to stand in line. There was one gal working the front and a gentleman that helped people sign in so they knew what to do. By 10:05 am, there were about 10 customers in the store. As soon as the gentleman finished signing people in, he jumped onto one of the computers and began servicing people. All in, including the wait time prior to opening, it took about 25 mins total.

    Excellent customer service, something that is lacking at many places. Spectrum opens at 10 am. I walk in at 10:10 to be greeted by Brandon.. he makes me feel welcomed. Brandon asked me if I had an appt, which I didn't. Lucky me, it was not busy. Thus, the appointment system is working for crowd control. Brandon explained that customers can go online and create an appointment (just like the DMV) but if not they do take walk ins as time permits. So play it safe and make an appointment on line. So now I am called to customer service. I came in to return my cable boxes. I recently learned that my Roku can control my entire TV operations. Saves me $10 bucks=$120 year..per cable box. So I also asked about programming my remote, the lady said that instructions are given with every remote. Well considering how many times my remote goes M I A that paper is long gone. Brandon walks over and tells me "let me get a new remote" just like that. No haggling, no begging, no stealing JUST JOKING!! Point is .. customer problem heard offered a NO hassle solution. Happy Customer!! Now I gotta figure out how to program the remote !! Tech challenged!

    I won't say anything that has already been said. Went in tonight to simply exchange routers. There were three people working there tonight and I was there for over two hours. Not one of us was acknowledged. Staff walked off when they started getting approached from customers and went into the back and never returned. Pretty shocking. At least it's nice to know they treat EVERYONE like crap.

    Was greeted by tommy at the door when coming in. He gave awesome see Yan's was very knowledgeable. They are practicing safe distancing inside and out. So happy that don't have to drive all the way to Mililani or Pearlcity.

    As good as any cable / internet provider ever is. Had both with them for three years. Over priced and sometimes the signal would go out on the cable or the cable box would randomly restart. Wifi signal was weak and slow most of the tine. Limited options so we stuck with them.

    Only 2 associates currently assisting about 13 people in line on a Monday morning.

    Service! It was a very long wait time. I wish that could see that customers time is also valuable and we don't get paid for waiting!

    We were having issues with one of the cable boxes in our home. We tried trouble shooting the issue…read morebut nothing helped. We called and tlan employee told us that we needed to take our box to a location. We were happy to hear that there was a location near to us. The employee that we spoke to on the phone made our transaction smooth and getting the new box was quick and also easy to find. I followed the directions given as well as followed a map and it was very easy to find. It is on the corner of Kamaaha Ave and Fort Barrette Road. You need to drive a little slow or you could miss the driveway but not hard to find at all. It is a single stand alone one story building surrounded by a fence with a green roof. When you arrive, you need to get buzzed in. The employee who helped me inside was quick and to the point. He was helpful and it was also an easy transaction. Glad that this location was close by and that I didnt need to drive all the way to town.

Back in the day they were the designated carrier that could be counted upon in crisis situations. Very reliable service. Yes we've gone through all of their upgrades to their systems. The latest " Fiber Optics " is still full of "Bugs" that prevent the system of living up to its potential. They're switching to TiVo which means all of their customers will have to eventually switch over. Unfortunately the programming they started out with is no longer available. Your DVR is obsolete and unfortunately you'll lose all of your content. When asked they speak about Upgrading the system. But the changes have not been smooth nor seamless. We would constantly lose our connection only to watch a blank or frozen screen. Not to mention the loss of programs that they no longer do business with the parent company due to expired contracts. But yet they charge us the same price. On a positive note they're going to open a new branch in the Kamakani Ali'i Mall. Hopefully a sign of better things to come.

    Update: Internet service restored; am increasing the rating to 3 stars, mainly because of Jim, who…read moreshowed professionalism and actually worked to resolve the issue. My concern remains with the overall troubleshooting approach. Multiple technicians quickly blamed my personal router, even though the outage started immediately after Hawaiian Telcom removed my TV Advantage package. The fix ultimately came from Hawaiian Telcom's side, not mine. They needed to clear the MAC address. Hopefully, future support does not default to "customer-owned equipment" before fully checking recent service changes. A less tech-savvy customer could have been without internet for days. Thank you Ms Maria O. for the robotic response/offer to provide assistance. I'll consider the issue closed.

    We had a sales guy come to each one of our doors at Makakilo Gardens. Said he could install fiber…read moreoptic for faster internet and that everyone was doing it . So we switched over. Sales rep said he would schedule a day. We agreed and said weekends. Within a week, technician came, he just started working, didn't even acknowledge us. Where was the communication saying you were coming down? To make it even worse he left a big roll of the fiber optic line, I told him I just had it fixed where nothing was sticking out, and my other half told the guy we aren't suppose to have anything mounted on our walls because of HOA violation. He still mounted it on the wall and left a big roll of fiber optic hanging on my wall like we ghetto or something. Couple weeks later another technician came and left our swing chair all the way out and I thought that was weird. Next thing I know I have two @#$&!!! Boxes on my dam wall. Now I know why he left a big ass roll. Unbelievable . ALL UNITS ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE ONE BOX EACH. Now my walls get two !!!!!!! F $&@! Bull $&@!. I left it because it is not my neighbors fault . We called customer service and these mutha $&@ wanted to charge us for redoing it?!!!!! Even though the technician knows that it's wrong , just try walking in the back of all our units. All UNITS HAVE 1 f$&@! Box. believe within the company there is no communication, no guidance for technicians (or proper training) , no customer service, etc. I give this nice lady this though, we called once and she was very apologetic and said to return the box and keep the line. But what about the other box mounted next to ours ???!!! No body fixed it yet. We gave them this whole month to come down. No one came. We called a second time and that's when they said they want to charge us to get it re routed to our neighbors ??? Guess what June 24, 2026 still f$&@@@@@ there. I had enough of this bull $$$$&&&&&@@@@ . Don't go with Hawaiian Telcom. I guess I gotta be stuck with two mutha f$$$&&@@??? Boxes on my wall. I had my other half mount the two boxes on the brick walls instead of the wall to our unit . Still yet YOUR TECHNICIANS COULDVE DONE BETTER. Shall I even talk about how they be parking in any kind parking stalls when we have home owners that park in specific spots. I gotta tell them not once but twice to move their truck even if they aren't working on my unit ?? Do better. Better yet fix this problem . (AND NO I DON'T WANT TO BE PAST AROUND ON THE PHONE, NEED SOMEONE LOCALLY TO FIX THIS) Side note: The picture below is proof that technician left a big roll hanging on my wall . I will post picture of what it used to look like before Hawaiian Telcom came in.
