I had an appointment for 2pm, I've been standing here for almost 15mins. The rep didn't acknowledge me, until I asked if there was someone else that could help me. She looks at me and states " "yes, but he's in a 15 mins break". Unbelievable, it's been 15mins and no one. She just walked back and spoke to someone and yet nothing!!!! Who manages this store? I visited the AT&T store in Waipahu and was assisted by Michael. He clearly explained the repair process through Asurion and guided us step by step on how to handle our broken phone. We also ended up purchasing a new device, and Michael made the entire experience smooth and efficient. His professionalism, helpful attitude, and quick service were truly appreciated. He always brings a positive energy and even manages to make us laugh during each visit. It's rare to find someone so dedicated and personable--AT&T is lucky to have him! read more

Michael helped me set up a new online for my kid. He also evaluated my current plan and found me a solution that gave us better service and slightly less cost. When it came time to chose a case, screen protector, and charging block he told us there was a sale and surprise! 2 of the three were listed on another sale which saved me even more. AT&T Store - Mobile Phones Near Me - Waipahu, Hawaii

On 9/29 my husband took my step son to AT&T located in Waipahu, next to Seafood city around 4:30pm. The store itself was smaller, tons of parking, and easy to find. That is why it gets a star. Lexi was the customer service rep that he interacted with and her knowledge and service was not of our standards. We were having issues with our sons phone loading Google maps & safari. We noticed we could no longer see his location. This all happened when we returned from vacation, which was overseas. She tried replacing the SIM card and said the phone was fixed, but when we checked, it was not working. She insisted it's because we had the "cheapest plan". She could not be more clear with her reasoning. It made no sense to us, as the phone had been working all this time on this "cheap plan" she kept pointing out. How rude! Lexi had no idea what was wrong with the phone and tried to reset the setting which didn't work. We took the phone back to the store on 10/1 in the late afternoon again, same location (which was dumb of us) and we had Michael. Another associate who could not trouble shoot the issues with this phone and focused on the "cheap plan". He explained because the plan was cheap that when everyone is on it, it slows the speed. So for the second time we left this store with absolutely no answers. He suggested a hard reset, which we did and the phone still didn't work. Okay guys, I'm not a genius, but if something works properly for a very long time under a plan, you can't blame the plan. It simple. At this Waipahu location, their customer service isn't customer service. I guess if they aren't earning commission on upselling you they just want you out of the store to make sales from another person. It's truly sad. These guys didn't even TRY to find the answer. The phone still needed to be fixed and we were not taking it to Waipahu for a third time to hear about our "cheap plan" and get no results. Luckily, we took the phone into AT&T in Kapolei (Kamakana). Let me just tell you readers, IT WAS NOT THE PLAN. The associate Lupe was able to find the problem and have us in and out in 15 minutes with a working phone. It was a automatic blocker that popped up to avoid additional charges since we were overseas. All she had to do was remove this blocker! She not once mentioned anything about our "cheap plan" AT ALL and was in shocked when I shared with her our experience in Waipahu. I'm excited to leave that review for her team to see. It's truly disappointing that although these stores are the SAME COMPANY, they don't all have associates who perform well for their company. I suggest AT&T Waipahu retrain these two particular associates on how to PROPERLY troubleshoot a persons phone by listening to the details of the situation. Also you should NEVER speak about a customers "Cheap plan" as that is very insulting. So thank you AT&T Waipahu for acknowledging we are on the cheapest plan and not being able to find the issue. My family and I was tired of spending buku dollars on our cell bill. My daughter's BF highly recommended AT&T. We went to our neighborhood store to get new phones and switch carriers. I felt so uneasy and stressed at this store. Don't know what it was. The atmosphere? The fact that our sales person was writing down our personal info in her notebook? We had to get a pin from our current carrier and couldn't get it online so we left the store to go to our current carrier's store. That was kind of our "out". My daughter's BF was not satisfied with the service or what they offered. ... so we went to the Waipahu store. We were greeted by Jc. Wow, what a difference! I felt at ease the whole time. The way JC was explaining everything to us was easy to understand. We ordered 3 phones and will be switching carriers as soon as our phones arrived. I could tell he was a manager or someone in command because others were asking for his help, he knew customers that walked in and actually waited for him to finish with us. I got nothing bad to say. I came in trying to get my fiancé and keiki onto my plan. It was a nightmare because I literally could not get them all the right codes and numbers etc. Duke, Santi, and Michael were so so so patient and amazing. They went above and beyond to try to figure out what I did wrong, and make time even though I have two kids who are impossible to wrangle. Big thanks to the att Waipahu folks. Ps. My husband made us an appointed; we were lucky one was available the same Friday morning. My iPhone got wet and We needed to active a back up phone. AILYN helped us. You never know who you'll get to help. Ms LAMIDO was super helpful; she was professional and answered all of my questions. We were not able to activate my back up phone at that time; but we discuss other possibilities. The following Monday, we made another appointment; no problem. We got a second phone activated in minutes. AILYN made it look so easy and all with a great attitude. We highly recommend those responsible hard working MASKED, well sanitized employees. Mike helped me & did not explain things, I asked to see the different color iphone 14's and his response was.. just tell me what color you want & I'll go in the back & check if we have them. I'm not going to go in the back if I don't have to so he pretty much was telling me that he wasn't going to check what colors they had in stalk because he didn't want to walk back & fourth! I mean if you don't like your job then quit!! Because of this bad experience I'm now switching carriers to T-Mobile! SHADY SALES TACTICS, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RACIST TREATMENT!!! Very poor customer service and racist treatment by Itko, I think that is how you spell his name. He had the audacity to get loud with me, a customer. I was at ATT to have the sales rep JC fix an error he made. When I voiced my dismay on the fact that I had to come back to fix an issue ATT made, he got loud with me. I had no issue waiting in line but for him to get loud with a customer - very unprofessional and rude. To make matters worse, he did not provide the same quality of service to me a Polynesian as he did the two Japanese customers in front of me. He was polite and apologized to the two Japanese customers in front of me and did not say anything but gave me dirty looks and make me feel inferior. I told the manager and she said she would talk with him. She is nice but seems over her head and not much help. WATCH HOW THEY TRY TO SELL YOU PRODUCTS. JC straight lied to me about a product that I ended up buying. He advised the iPad was wifi only. I said I would purchase if that was the case, I did not want another data plan. I found out I had data on the iPad bc I tried to hook up to wifi and I did not need to because there was data. I came back to address that issue and the new rep Mark, told me there is no such product. I am paying for the installation and $10 1GB plan. So, JC lied in order to get a sale. Had I known that, I would not have bought the iPad. DO NOT USE THIS STORE but if you do ask for MARK. Marc said he would put in a new sim card, so i asked if it would delete some of my contacts and he said no, its just for network, so i said ok. When i get home, about 50% of my contacts are gone. I called att and hes out to lunch and wont be back for another hour. He calls me back and says he will look on the table, he said he doesnt see it. Later i go down to the store and ask if i can look, he said they shred the sim cards. Been a customer for over 20 years, going to Verizon now. This place is a joke. read more

Stay far away from this store. I went in thinking about switching to AT&T and the man helping me clearly hates his job! I don't know his name because he wasn't wearing a name tag, but older much older man with a beard. He was very rude, watching the TV while he was talking to me and when asked how the coverage was he said "Look it up" I'm just writing this because if I was a new customer going in imagine how he treats his e soaring customers. He also quoted me with auto pay and AARP as if I was going to sign up for it right off the back. He should have told me true price and then said if you would like to bring down your monthly we have these other options. Last he was not personable at all! Walked in he was sitting down watching tv then got up and looked at me like great someone else here ti waste my time. When it came time to tell him how many phones and watch lines I want I wasn't sure the exact number of watches I was going to bring over and he said "Well what is it because I'm making your quote now" in a very rude tone. At first I was given great service when upgrading my phone so i wanted to like this store. When I returned the phone, I had all kinds of trouble. I had to go back a few times because they were unable to process a return at those times. Even then, the return was done wrong and I didn't get my money back. Also had service problems on my old phone that i decided to keep...reps didn't know how to fix even though i suggested the issue they said wasnt it...guess what it was? I called the store for a month and no one could help except the manager who was never there and never returned calls. One rep there was rude to customers and not professional at all. Ironic that he was very condescending and yet didn't really know too much. He's the one that messed up my return and was unable to answer any questions in person or over the phone always punting to a manager. In fact that same rep, Duke if anyone else comes across him, threw his mgr under the bus saying the mgr was leaving the store (meaning either a transfer or resignation, not for the day) soon so may not return my calls for a few days or just whenever he liked. I finally got my return a month later when I contacted AT&T corporate after waiting over 10min for someone to pick up the phone at the store. Located in Waipahu shopping center located to the left of longs drug store. Parking is plentiful. I came in sometime during September to upgrade my phone and also to change our family phone plan. We walked in without any reservations (not sure if it helps to make one or not.) But, as soon as I entered we were helped immediately. The customer representative was named icko I believe. He helped us throughout, upgrading my phone from iPhone to Android, changing the phone plans to cheaper and just overall being helpful. We also bonded over some small talk of anime and conventions as well. Not only was her very helpful, but also a joy to be around. read more

DO NOT GET HELP FROM MONETTE/MO!! i would give you ZERO stars, but it won't let me. I went in to this location to exchange my Note7 (the exploding phone) to a Galaxy S7. I was very clear to her that i needed ALL of my text messages and pdf documents to be transferred from the old phone to the new phone. I am very familiar with Samsung products as well as the Samsung SmartSwitch application so i knew that getting all my information off of one phone and putting it on to the new phone should have been a breeze. While assisting me this sorry excuse of a sales rep took personal calls on her phone AND used explicit language in front of myself as well as my children. She then told me that she was going to use the AT&T transfer app to get all of my information because it "works faster." I am not familiar with this application, but i believed her because she was SUPPOSED to be the professional. Fast forward THREE GOSH DAMN HOURS and my notes are not transferred. She said that my text messages are slowly being backed up via wifi and will start "slowly rolling in" on my phone. My pictures are gone, my pdf documents are gone, and my text messages are gone. The sad part about all of this is that my text messages were going to be used as evidence in a very ugly and ongoing custody battle. Now i have nothing. I would now need to pay to hire a lawyer to file a subpoena to attain the text records from AT&T directly. Thanks MONETTE for royaly screwing me and my baby. Your incompetance and lack of professionalism has caused so much grief in my life. I hope they fire you so you can pay more attention to your childish and highschool social life, and never ruin another customer experience again. read more

Went to purchase data for my mifi device today. I told Zach that I wanted to data to my device. He asked me a series of questions that had nothing to do with what I came for which confused the hell for him and then he wanted to charge me new activation fee and assign a new number for my device. I told him, I was very clear on what I wanted and communicated the best of my ability yet he still thought it was my fault that he was confused. What a nightmare for such a simple thing. My parents have been loyal ATT customer for years (except for that brief period we were with T-Mobile because we were curious of their service, hehe) We live up the street and this is the closest branch but take note that I actually don't frequent here if I have any inquiries whatsoever. Anyhow, because of the whole Note 7 fiasco/recall, I've made more visits to this store than I do in a month for any other stores and I was pleasantly surprised at all my experiences here (which is maybe the reason why I kept coming back and not that it's geographically convenient for me) As with any other store, you are greeted and they will put you on the waiting list. Waiting time is bearable (but that depends on the hours you go) My most recent trip was on a Saturday morning, a little past half an hour of their opening so it didn't take long for an associate to escort me to a table. I was helped by all these associates: first recall was Jonathan, exchange/transfer with Nanea, and return/upgrade was with Gerald. The first day Samsung announced their recalls, I was assisted by Jonathan, who mind you was also assisting a customer for the first time with regards to recalls. He exchanged my note 7 for a replacement phone, helped me do the smart switch and though the process was gruesomely long, he conversed with me and was gracious enough to say that because it's his first time, there were some things he may not be sure of so there were times he had to double check with his manager. Overall, Jonathan was very helpful and I enjoyed the company! My next visit was to exchange my replacement phone with the release of the "safe" note 7. This time, Nanea helped me. She's such a sweetheart, smiling and being so patient with me as we did my mobile transfers. This was an easier transaction compared to the next service I needed to get and I salute Gerald for assisting me! So after the second recall, Samsung announced complete ban and discontinuity of their Note7. I liked my phone and if it wasn't for fear of it exploding in future, I honestly would've kept it. I made the switch from android to you guessed it - iPhone 7+ which IMO is probably the next best thing to the Note7. Gerald had to assist me twice and I liked how throughout the whole ordeal he was explaining what he was doing. From my understanding, my phone line was not eligible so he used another phone line that was so that he could order a new phone for me. As with any other upgrade, I had to just pay the taxes. When he placed the order, my phone arrived within less than a week! Unfortunately, when I came into the store to do a return, the associate was unable to help me and said that I had to come back when Gerald was available. I thought it was rather odd for them to reject me because why does HE have to do the whole transaction? And couldn't the manager have override the whole thing? I didn't want to have to come back again but because the associates have all been nothing but kind and helpful, one more trip wouldn't hurt. And I was right - Gerald helped me not only do the return (or if you want to be technical, the reversal transaction) but he also helped by giving me tips on what apps to use and what not. Overall, I gave the store 5 stars for the awesome customer service and services they have rendered to me. Oh but couldn't the store use another kiosk just in case the other one goes down and it gets busy? read more

He answered all my questions and clearly explained what would happen if somebody tried using the missing phone , how billing will work, how to reinstall Apps. I originally called inquiring about a phone to see if they have it in stock before going in person. The guy on the phone confirmed they have the phone in store today. We planned on upgrading my phone and only owed less than 86.00 on my original phone. The guy helping named Micheal first tells me that its going to cost us over 120.00 to pay off my phone. He asks me when was the last time my plan was revised and I said it hasn't been because we are happy with how our plan is, that I am only interested in getting the new phone today. He goes on to claim "well only one phone has insurance and the other one doesn't, which I don't understand why that is". He then follows up with trying to add 15.99 to a phone for insurance when we told him we already did and then he caught himself. Then asks what we both do for a living, then tries adding on a special plan which i believe runs about 25.99 on top of your bill for first responders. He breaks it down for us, I politely decline and my husband agreed. I did say I am just interested in getting the phone today thank you. He says okay I will go in the back and grab it. Leaves for a good 10 minutes, comes out empty handed. Not once does he say whether or not if they have the phone he now focuses his attention on my husband who already declined the plan he was trying to sell us before he left. My husband listened and again says I'm okay thanks we don't think we need that kind of plan added, Michael say "okay man just didn't want you to be missing out". Micheal ends up walking over to another employee there a female that originally greeted us at the door. He asks her "hey so did you get my phone" she then says "what phone" they both walk back into the back room again for the second time and at that point we were already ther pushing about 45 minutes and I was really disappointed in my experience. Not once did he help me with any information regarding my new phone I was wanting to purchase, he was more concerned with selling me a whole new revamped phone plan when we have been more than happy with our plan. Nothing needed to be updated but my new phone I wanted to purchase. We ended up leaving because to me besides him going in the back to "grab the phone" I felt like i was at a car dealership. Although I am young, I am not naive to these sale tactics. To me it is really ridiculous how many times we made it clear we are not interested in other things added to our plan and he just kept saying "oh it'll only increase your bill just slightly but i haven't even added in the new phone information yet". Sometimes people actually know what they want and don't need to be prompted on adding a bunch of unnecessary crap to their bill just for the hell of it. read more

I was always with AT&T-- cingular--- AT&T... whatever it maybe now they are still my carrier. I took a visit here a few times but I always forget to take a dang picture of this place. I kinda didn't want to write a review until there was a picture instead of an orange picture but whatev someone will eventually! Thats besides the point.. I took my parents here because they wanted to jump on the bandwagon and get iphones! Yep my parents are near their fifties and they want to stay update with the younger generation. My dad has always been update with technology but my mom she is another story. As we get here on a Saturday afternoon there were not that many workers to my surprise. We had to ask someone to check us in and then patiently wait for service. We waited less than 10 minutes to get helped and I explained to our sales lady our reason for being there. My parents don't communicate very well in English that is why I had to be there to sign them up for a new contract. She asked if my parents were out of contract with their other carrier and she asked us the basic questions.. where do they work, mortgagee information and etc. We were there for about an hour and a half getting everything activated and signed. All-in-all she was wonderful, she explained all the benefits and their plans and what they expect to pay at their next billing cycle. I would definitely go here again because of their customer service. We didn't feel rushed through the whole process and she was very helpful the only thing is I forgot her name! Whoops... And you do need to come in at a certain time because as we were leaving the place was packed with customers. read more

I had ordered a pair of AirPods online to be picked up at the Waipahu store. When I got there, I was greeted Michael, I told him I was there to pick up my order. He went to the back of the store and talked with his associates, which seemed like a long time. Meanwhile, my fiancée asked me if they had a restroom there so I asked another associate (Icko) who wasn't busy, if there was a bathroom she could use. He looked at me and said yes they do and told me to ask the associate who was helping me. I guess he was too busy looking at his phone, doing nothing, to show her where it was. Meanwhile, Michael comes back to me after 5 minutes at least, to tell me that they don't have a record of me paying for it online, it only showed that I was to pick up in store. So, I show him my proof of purchase, then he asks for my ID which he took pictures of. About two dozen times!!! Nah, not that much but at least 6 times. So, after about 20 minutes or more of me waiting, I finally get what I came in for. I thought ordering online would save me time...oh well, guess not. Next time I'll just drive down and order what I want in person. read more

As long as I had phone service with At&t I have been going to this location. Over 10 years of service and never had I ever had issues with any of the At&t reps. Always welcoming and helpful. Even when I didn't have an ID but with verifications needed to access my account they helped me through tracking my stolen phone and even deleted my info remotely when I couldn't get through on my end. Today I walked in the door and Gerald helped me get an upgrade for a i phone xs max. He also said when I receive my new phone to come back and he would help me set everything up. As a customer or represetative, patients is a virtue on both ends. And in the end I always had grest results. Thank you all who works there for always helping me out. I am BEYOND PISSED at the service here !!!! Wish I could give them 0 stars since they gave me zero help . My father and I came here a month ago in order to make me an authorized user on his account so that I can help him with any account/billing issues. An employee that day had helped us out.... or so I thought. Just a couple days ago, I went to the AT&T store in Kapolei to resolve an issue, but was told that I wasn't an authorized user. WHAT??!! After talking to the employees at the Kapolei store, it is highly likely that the employee that helped us at the Waipahu store had taken down the necessary info on their tablet but didn't save the changes!!! So I basically wasted my time going to the store to resolve a simple issue, which couldn't be resolved over the phone since their phone service also sucks (I kept getting transferred to different departments). The manager of this store should really think about re-training all their employees here ! Never coming back to this store again unless it's the only AT&T store on the island. At that point I would just switch phone carriers since I don't want to deal with this headache again. Already thinking of doing so purely because of the customer service alone! read more

I've been with AT&T for over 10 years now. My experience is usually so so, but this time around at this specific location my experience was outstanding. I came in looking for help to fix my phone that I had been locked out of. I explained that I had gone to the kapolei branch and they didn't even try to help me. As I entered this location I was greeted by a sales clerk named Gerald. He was very thorough and at least tried to give me options to save my phone and do a factory reset. After doing so we discovered that there may have been something wrong with an update or the hard drive itself. I finally decided after 2 hours that I was just going to go ahead and update or trade in my phone. He pointed me to the new apple phone and explained To me the features and benefits of it, by comparing to what happened with my Android note 8. After 2 more hours I finally decided to go with the apple phone because I was sold on the iCloud and how it automatically backs up everything. I just wanted to say thank you to this gentlemen for having the patience with me, and trying to figure out how to help me save money on my monthly bill. Omg I went in to the store 2 months ago for the free iPhone XR and the sales person told me let me see ways to help save you money so I said okay. He said if you do auto pay you also save a little . He also told me if I use hot spots in the community I said no so he supposedly took it off come to find out it was still on I had to call the mainland office to fix it and they also will give me a credit. I've been a "valuable customer" for quite some time now... about 8 years? Anyway... it was time for me to upgrade my iPhone first gen. I visit the display counter and see all these touchscreen phones side-by-side. No one comes up to me offering any assistance. I begin a game of Plants vs. Zombies, my favorite app on the iPhone. About five minutes pass and still no one. Whatever. I decide to test out the 'face time' phone calls. My boyfriend and I call each other on the two iPhone4 displays. I have lots of questions, mind you, and still no one is "available". I'm a potential customer of the newest iPhone. C'mon! I visit the cashier stand and ask the Asian guy with the goatee (I can't remember the name I read on his name tag... I'll visit one of these days just to confirm) seems like he's not busy so I ask him if he is available and his response was, "I'm busy with an account. If you have a quick question, I can answer" then I tell him, "I just want to purchase an iPhone since I'm eligible for an upgrade" and he tells me, "Well, that's a NO then". Tsk. I tell my boyfriend that I'd rather purchase it online because our presence there was as if we were inexistent. Then I hear the Asian guy tell his co-worker, "The girl in the dress & sunglasses wants an iPhone"... so 'Alex' offers assistance and takes down my information. He was very helpful and made the process very quick. One thing that I was disappointed in was the question he had asked as soon as I was done signing agreements and swiping my credit card, "Would you like your phone shipped to the store or your house?" Really?! I couldn't have my phone right away? I figure- being the exclusive vendor for the iPhone that they would have it in-store. Okay... Gerald & Ryne went above & beyond of my satisfaction! They both worked with me & tried to compromise me for the damages that were already on the phone straight out of the box. Not like Mililani. Mililani's manager who I think is an A-HOLE. This is why I came all the way to Waipahu to the next closest place to get a phone. Worst customer service ever!!! The girl who helps us did not even offer to let us seat while she is sitting down helping us. She is kind a new also because she still have to ask her co worker for helped in any other questions and information. I have never ever made a complain about this Location before. I do now. I think the sales person there is new. This sales consultant has some attitude going on. If There was a Negative option I'd choose that. So the 800 AT&T tells me to go to a AT&T store to fix my problem. Which was to activate my phone (replacement) and unblock the wrong phone that was blocked. So I go there rushing because I had so many things to do today. I am greeted nicely as I walk in. I say hello and good morning. At first the guy and lady seem nice then I tell them it's a confusing situation. I explained what I was instructed to do and the guy tells me it's an Apple Problem you have to go to Apple. I said I am just following what the 800 number told me to do. So it seems like since I came for "help" and "not" purchasing anything you're not willing to help me? Again he tells me it's an Apple issue. I said this is my main number and I had phone in box I said I just need this turn on and if any problems I was instructed to have the store call the 800 number. Still Firm he tells me it's an Apple issue, like really I got services from AT&T. I then said never mind I'm wasting time and left . I been out of a phone for five days! Both AT&T and Asurion the insurance company blaming each other who suppose to activate my phone . Overall I just had a whole bunch of BS like I got time to be driving around fixing this simple problem! I use to recommend AT&T now I am not! Get it together and maybe I'll refer people again! I use to do service at the no longer location on Kaahumanu Street and had no problem even if I just went in there to browse. Had they service me well I was going to inquire on the new device they advertised but perhaps I shouldn't invest in that! read more

I had boycotted AT&T for more than 10 years because of an experience I had when the company had a Group event at the Westin Maui. Long story short, one of the attendees did not like his room and I was the 1st person he saw behind the front desk so he threw his room card at me. My daughter convinced me to give them a try again because I liked her iPhone. Well, I did switch about a month and a half ago. Of course I love the phone but 3 days ago I stopped getting service to the phone. I went in to the Waipahu AT&T store yesterday and had excellent service. The team there are great even when they are all busy helping other customers. The 2 associates at Customer Care have great customer service too. They tried several things to get the phone to work correctly. But today, I still have "no service". But, I have had wonderful customer service! Looks like it's the Apple store in my near future to address the phone issues! Thanks AT&T! read more
