We ended up being without internet for 5 days. The cost for kinetic by windstream is reasonable but if your internet goes out don't expect to have a service technician at your house soon.

4/24-Dont know where they find their employees. Little to no customer service. They don't seem to…read moreknow or care how to handle billing issues other than taking payment. I have to watch them closely, just about every month there are charging discrepancies on my bill. It's like I'm not on a plan and they're charging whatever they want. Mine of all bills shouldn't be difficult for them or me. I have basic internet that's it. Windstream comes up with new charges that aren't explained or clear on the bill seems like monthly, and with no warning. Calling them has gotten so much worse post pandemic. If I have to call cs which I dread it's usually bc there's an issue and I already know that I'll need to speak with a supervisor, then they lie and say you'll be transferred to one. One of the ways I know I've been lied too regarding this is when the so-called supervisor comes on the line they say their name real fast. When I ask them to repeat the name I get hung up on. That's happened twice. Between the crappy product and dealing with their so-called customer service, I'm not paying potentially fraudulent charges etc.

Total trash bag company that makes you wait on hold for extended periods of time and they attempt to bully you when you request a disconnect. Well, the last time I looked, this is still the good old USA where I can "still" do business with whom I choose to do so. Listen up Kinetic/Windstream: if you want to get , and retain new customers, then improve your business practices. It's pretty simple.

We…read morehad service installed 3 years ago -- at the time, the installer told us we needed TWO ports but only ONE port was available. He installed it anyway. We've been paying ever increasing rates for "up to 10MB" per our bill. All the customer service reps in Puerto Rico say our internal paperwork says we have only up to SIX mb. So we're paying for 10MB and 2 ports but have only 1 port and up to 6mb. We've repeatedly complained that A: every single day we have outages, lags and blurs if we attempt to use more than 1 device. B: with 1 device, we get 6mb maybe, sometimes. With 2 or more -- forget it -- we get 1mb or 2mb or maybe 3mb. They refused to send a tech out until finally today. We had finally reached a human being who listened and could see that we had only 1 port but needed 2. We waited all day for the local tech --- only to have him say the paperwork wasn't done correctly -- it should have been written up as a service call. He understood all about the port situation and said he'd speak with "Zach" in Hiawasee and Zach would get us squared away. Zach called us a short time later -- he is in BILLING! Not tech support so he was of no use to us and he transferred us back to Puerto Rico and the same useless tech support we have been dealing with over and over and over. We're calling a Star Link installer to meet with us next week at our home. It has been an absolute nightmare trying to get anywhere at all with Windstream and trying to get a technician to come out to see if there are any ports available now or to see if our installation was not done correctly. We have not gotten what we are paying for for 3 years now and feel like we are owed a gigantic credit.

They straight-up lie about their prices to new customers. They repeatedly try to put an equipment rental fee on my bill even though I supplied my own router. They'll also raise your bill every year with no justification. And forget about the "prepaid Mastercard reward." I never got mine despite calling about it numerous times. If I had any other option, I'd go with another company just to avoid giving Kinetic another dollar.

(How professional is that?) I have a house in High Springs. . I do not live there. I have a tenant with a busy job who cant take a day off to meet you at the house, therefore I need to drive 5 hours north to meet you there. We have an appointment set for April 24th, of which YOU sent me appointment options. I still receive daily texts annoying me to make an earlier appointment. Yesterday my tenant informed me that you sent me a threatening letter that I was going to be charged $30 a month because I "couldn't meet your deadline" This is BS! You better NOT charge me $30 bucks because I have been making appointments all along! Yes, and you WINDSTREAM have cancelled 3 of them. I am reporting you to the Better Business Bureau as well. We have an appt set for April 24th. I have to leave work and drive 5 hours to get there. You better NOT cancel on me this time! Dana

We had been with one of the big national companies and couldn't get service no matter what we tried, we called Security Services and they came over, explained their services to us, and also said he could fix the problem we were having that the big national company tried unsuccessfully three times to fix virtually, Security Services came to the house and took care of everything. We had them install a completely upgraded new system with outside video and the works, turns out all companies use the same monitoring services everyone else uses, so by switching to Security Services we got a better system and better service. John the owner came over to our house, explained everything in detail what his crew would be doing, and the guys that came to do the work explained every step of the process as well, we had 100% peace of mine through the entire process from beginning to end, something we never had with the big national company. I recommend this company and its processes 100%, you can make the call to Security Services and rest assured everything will be handled professionally, thoroughly and with respect to you and your property. We couldn't be happier with our decision to go with them.
