Negative should be an option I rarely take the time to write reviews, but my experience with T-Mobile has been so frustrating that I feel obligated to warn others. After being a customer for four years, paying nearly $90 a month, I expected at least a baseline level of respect and service. Instead, what I got was overpriced plans, inconsistent value, and customer service that felt dismissive at best and outright disrespectful at worst. When I finally decided enough was enough and requested a transfer PIN to switch providers, the attitude I received was shocking--like I was somehow in the wrong for no longer wanting to overpay for subpar service. What stood out most was the complete lack of effort to retain me as a customer. No meaningful offers, no attempt to understand my concerns--just indifference. For a company that takes so much from its customers month after month, you'd expect at least a professional and courteous goodbye. That didn't happen. My experience with the T-Mobile location in Birmingham, Alabama only reinforced my decision. The service there was unprofessional, disorganized, and frankly unacceptable. It felt like customer care was the last priority. Since switching, I've had a completely different experience. The transition was seamless, quick, and stress-free exactly how it should be. It made me realize just how unnecessarily difficult T-Mobile had made things all along. Consumers should know they have options. Loyalty should be valued, not exploited. T-Mobile seriously needs to reevaluate how they treat long-term customers, because right now, it feels like they simply don't care. Goodbye, T-Mobile and good riddance. One. Star. Experience. Poor explanations of upgrading by staff. Promises were made and broken. Staff is not attentive and talking amongst themselves and hiding in the back room instead of helping customers. Do not trust that you will get a trade in even if they say you are eligible. Floor is dirty. Long wait times. Uncomfortable high top chairs and tables, not safe for older clients or disabled. Music unnecessarily loud. read more

On 10/25/2023 I got a scheduled call from Representative Tykosha, who works in the Birmingham Alabama call center. She called to update me on the status of my free Netflix service. She promptly addressed each of my inquiries and provided me with the knowledge I required. She was continuously kind, articulate, and  impeccably courteous; as such, she represents exceptional customer service at T-Mobile and  left a lasting good impression on me. She is a Gem.. So my brother needed a new phone, we went inside T-Mobile 7948, and a nice young man named Manny asked how he could help. We told him the type phone we wanted, and had just what we were looking for. We had to make an unexpected stop in this store while on vacation. We were passing through the area on the way to Nashville and were dreading having to stop and address a cell-phone issue. That said, we were pleasantly surprised with how painless and friendly our experience was. Julie helped us through the process and she is an absolute superstar! I'd suggest avoiding the rush around 5-6 when everyone is getting off work, as we had to wait awhile (through no fault of the store's). In short, if you need to visit an in-person store and dread it like we did, stop by here and they'll make it as painless as possible. read more
