The staff needs better phone training. We come to them in hopes that they can assist you when something wrong is going on with your phone. I went in this evening and waited a good 30 minutes. My iPhone had frozen.. I couldn't see calls coming in nor answer them, all icons where frozen and couldn't access them. I tried turning off the phone by pressing the side button and power on button down at the same time and that didn't work. So, after telling rep what was going on and my attempts made to restore my phone she just said that my phone was shot.. and that I had to let the battery die completely then plug it back up to see if it would work? Otherwise, I could upgrade.. pay the $400 balance on my current phone and upgrade. I just got this iPhone 9 months ago.. I didn't want to have to buy another phone! So.. she said ok then call customer service pay $5 for warranty exchange and wait 3-5 days to receive my cell phone. I'm a business owner and operate with my phone.. I couldn't believe that was my only option. She didn't try to remove the sims card.. or help in any other way. She asked if I had YouTube the repair? I responded, "No, that's why I'm here so that the professionals can help." Well, she was no help, said there was nothing they could do. So.. thank you for nothing! I used my daughter's phone and googled how to fix my iPhone's issue.. and found the solution myself! Without having to purchase another phone or go days without a phone. I was suggested to press the up volume button once, then the lower volume button once but rapidly then hold the on side button down by itself for a few seconds until the option to turn off my phone appeared on the screen. I followed the instructions, turned off and restarted my phone with no issues. I almost drove back to educate them on how to help the next customer with the same or similar issue. They should research and educate themselves if holding that customer service position.. SMH No help, no attempt and where's the manager for assistance?? Will avoid going to this location in the future. Reaching out to the Apple Warranty customer service directly, may be the best option. read more
