Unfortunately, those promises kept getting pushed back. I understand that data recovery is complex and that unexpected problems can happen. My frustration isn't that the recovery was difficult--it's the lack of honest communication and realistic expectations. If the job was going to take months, I would have appreciated being told that from the beginning instead of repeatedly hearing that it was almost finished. I spent months following up through texts and over 20 phone calls, often being told I'd receive a callback that never came. I even rearranged my schedule multiple times to pick up the drive, only to find out it still wasn't ready. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business. In all of my zeal for installing RAM, I dragged a GPU across a transistor rendering the whole board unable to POST. I dropped it off, few hours later they got it back to me and now it works. It was pretty nasty but they managed to keep the original component and get it fixed. Worth the money to get someone who knows microsoldering to fix surface-mount components. Saved me literally thousands.
