The absolute worst customer service. No acknowledgment whatsoever; just stare into space or walk in the back so they don't have to acknowledge you. I don't mind waiting but these kids don't greet you, let alone let you know they'll be with you as soon as they can. And this isn't exclusive to this particular T-Mobile; they seem to hire and train their employees to have zero sense of urgency. It's amazing how $20 minimum wage is the expectation for this level of work; I worked harder for $6.50/hour. Verizon may be more expensive but at least they're more interested in actually being of service. read more

If you ever want to experience what it feels like to be an absolute burden simply for existing, I highly recommend stopping by the Overland store and being "helped" by Mia. Truly, it's a rare talent to make a customer feel like they've committed a federal offense just by walking in before closing, but Mia has mastered it. I came in the night before--yes, a whole few minutes before closing--and Mia greeted me with the enthusiasm of someone being forced to run a marathon in the rain. The sighing, the glaring, the "I cannot believe you're making me do my job right now" energy... breathtaking. I didn't realize entering a store during business hours was such a personal attack, but thank you, Mia, for the enlightenment. I was told by the representative the night before that I had two weeks to get all my information transferred because I have extremely important documents on my phone. So naturally, when I came back the next morning--on a Sunday, no less--Mia decided to rewrite store policy on the spot. According to her, under no circumstances was I taking my phone out of the store. I explained the importance of my documents. I explained what I was told. I explained why I needed to verify everything. Her response? A beautifully delivered: "Well, I don't know what to tell you, but you're not taking it out of the store." Ah yes, the signature "I don't care, and I'm not going to pretend to" customer service technique. Very advanced. Meanwhile, I sat there for over an hour while she acted like I was asking her to perform a miracle instead of simply honoring what her coworker already told me. The level of inconvenience she projected could've powered the entire building. And then--shocking plot twist--the original representative finished with his customer, walked over, and politely told me, "Go ahead and take it home and bring it back in the morning." Imagine that: someone who actually knows how to speak to customers like human beings. Wild concept. To summarize: * He handled the situation correctly. * She handled it like customer service was a punishment she was forced to endure. If the goal is to drive customers away with attitude, hostility, and a complete lack of professionalism, Mia is absolutely nailing it. If not, someone might want to remind her that helping customers is literally the job. read more

This past week I went in and talked to the guys here(Gabe and Conner) and they totally hooked me up. They helped me take care of an issue that I had at another T-mobile store on Broadway. Never go to the store on Broadway. The guys at the overland store were super friendly and very helpful. I totally recommend this store. read more

We just went in because my son had issues with his phone. Bryce was extremely helpful in attempting to solve the issue. He ended up helping us save on our bill and getting us a better quality phone to replace the corrupted phone. Bryce was helpful and genuine and incredibly efficient. I will not only remain a T Mobile customer as I have always had excellent service, but we plan to return to this store with any of our cell needs because of the friendly atmosphere. Great place for good customer service. Walked in asked for a sim adapter, and they don't sell it but was able to find one in the drawer and give it to me for no cost! Love it and there was no wait time. T-Mobile rocks and you will like the customer service along with the product. I have had three carriers and out of Verizon, sprint, and T-Mobile, I couldn't have been happier with the service. Btw I was with Verizon for 12 years with an overpriced service product and went to sprint which was cheap but the services was the worst. T-Mobile has been fair in price and I think their service is top notch! read more

I usually never leave reviews but my experience today changed that. I went into T Mobile by Walmart on Overland Road today with my 11 year old son to activate a Tick Talk 3 phone ( a third party phone not purchased there but compatible with T-Mobile) I needed to activate a line and have a SIM card placed in the watch. I spoke with Cheyenne. I told her what I needed to do and she quickly said I'm not sure how to do that and called her manager on the phone. She then said because it's a third party she's 99 percent sure it won't work. I said ok can we at least try to activate it and add another line just to see. She said she would and that it would be a $30 dollar line activation fee. I then asked if it didn't work then could I be refunded my $30 fee. She signed and said that there was no way she could refund my fee. I then said, I didn't want to be out $30 and could we call customer care beforehand to find out. She said no. At this point I asked if I could talk to a manger. She replied why do you want to talk to a manger? I said I just do. She then said " you have to respect the fact that my manager has been here all day since 6 am and Hes just going to tell you tell you the same thing I did! if I call him I'll get In trouble. I asked if there was someone else who could help me. She slammed the watch box on the counter and walked away. She went in the back and spoke with someone. I was being helped by another employee at this point and again asked if I would be credited back my line activation fee if it didn't work he said I would have to call Customer care. She came back at this point and immersed herself in the interaction with me and the other employee. She loudly repeated in front of the entire store of customers how she already told me it wouldn't work. I was pretty upset at this point as my son was there hearing all of this. I mentioned under my breath that she was being rude and I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to be out $30. She then yelled at me and said "what did you say" I replied that I was pretty sure she heard me. She continued to yell at me to say it a little louder and to act my age! I repeated that I just wanted to work with the current employee and not her. She said no you can go to another store we're not helping you here... at which point I left the store and called my daughter, a former T-Mobile employee to help me navigate this situation. She came down and at the point a third employee started To help us and also said if it doesn't work we can credit you The $30 which was a relief because that's all I was trying to communicate to Cheyenne from the beginning he let me know that they had a deal on a timex kids watch for free with line activation. I ended up going that route as I just wanted it to be over with. This is the first time I've ever really dealt with someone so angry, disrespectful and completely unprofessional. This young lady is certainly not an asset to your company and I believe, she's a liability. Unfortunately I will have to find another T-Mobile store for future service. read more

I can prove this because before I got his service, two ladies were there for idk how long and were very toxic and salty towards the end of their discussion while Gabriel held a cool head and respectful tone! * I've had decent cell phone customer service and really distasteful cell phone customer service, with different carriers. Sadly, none of my experience has been delightful. Most of these folks are salesmen first and foremost. They are often not tech savvy enough to help with technical issues, and give bad advice. * On my first visit to this store, two years ago, the salesmen got me signed up for two iPhones (6S) with a paltry 16 Gb of onboard memory. Included in their promotional package was screen protectors, insurance, an Ultimate Ears Bluetooth speaker... it seemed like a great deal overall, but when I realized the actual memory in the phones they were pushing, I protested. I needed more memory than that for my business. My music library alone was over 100 Gb. * They pushed back. They said it was better to store all my data in the "cloud" or on a backup device. It seems they wouldn't offer as great a "plan" if they had to order in a different phone. And it would be a paperwork mess to change the phones just for more memory. After two years of experience with these phones, I say their advice was hogwash. Maybe they didn't know any better. But now I do know better. Instead of going here to purchase my new iPhone, I went to the Apple store. * They do offer a nice 2 for 1 deal on iPhone 7 with 64 Gb memory, for new T-Mobile customers, porting their number and trading in their "qualifying" late model smart phone. Too bad they don't reach out to existing customers, offering deals like this. * Why did I go back to this store exactly? Okay, so T-Mobile has some decent plans -- One is the Senior 55+ Unlimited Plan. They didn't personally offer me this, by the way, I found out about it elsewhere. I didn't have to buy a new SIM card for the new phone, nor did I have to change phone numbers... but I did have to switch from a business account to a personal account. This is where the customer service could use improvement. * They have a special business account number to call for such changes. The dude originally asked me for the last part of my business tax ID. I gave him exactly that, but it didn't match his records. Eventually he clarified that what he really meant was the Federal EIN, which is something altogether different from a tax ID. Then we had to do a little tag game of verification codes, both with this dude over the phone, as well as Brody -- the salesman in this T-Mobile store. Then they had to run a new credit report on me. Really. A bit disconcerting. Brody did a pretty good job helping me get it sorted out. * Finally a woman on their business line read off some disclaimer jibberish about me being responsible for ALL applicable charges in the event of this or that or some other thing, including the remaining cost of any equipment purchased through T-Mobile. Easy, since I already paid off all equipment. read more

I don't know if it's just this store or T-Mobile policy in general (upselling), but when my wife went in to get a new phone, for some reason they also sold her a hotspot. She doesn't know what a hotspot is. She doesn't need a hotspot. Besides the charge for the thing, it added an additional phone line to out bill without her understanding that either. We've been charged for it for several months. We've gotten the phone line charges removed, but we're apparently stuck with selling the (unopened) hotspot on ebay. She'll never be going there again alone. read more

Came here to upgrade mine and my husbands phones and I couldn't believe how friendly and helpful this staff was!! It took a bit of time but that was because they helped us transfer all our contacts, apps, info etc from our old phones to our new phones. great experience, plenty of helpful staff.
