Next months bill came and there was extra charged for a set up fee, which is different from the activation fee I paid in store. I looked more closely into what we paid in store to see they charged me for a "remaining balance" on my old phone, which was almost 10 years old and definitely fully paid off. They also added Apple One onto my account with out asking. I went back to the store for explanation and the employee couldn't tell me what the remaining balance was actually for and gave me some excuse about "it's for fraudsters", he removed Apple One, again with no explanation except "it could be from somewhere else" and then refunded money I paid in store "since it wasn't explained to me". The employee who sold us the phone in the first place refused to help us the first time we went back to ask about the bill so we left to come back another day when someone else was working and then gave us nasty looks the whole time we were in there talking with another employee the second time we went in to talk about the bill.

I agree with the previous review that more staff would be helpful but there is a balance between plenty of help during busy times and too much during slow times. It's probably best to call the store and ask when the slow times are to try to avoid this. The wait to be helped was my only gripe. I was just picking up a phone on my employer's account and Justin was very helpful in getting me all set up. He seemed interested in making sure I got the right accessories and didn't try to push anything I told him I had no need for. My experience was a good example of how the help you get can overcome some small issues. I haven't worked with anyone else at the store but asking for Justin will be a safe move.

I thought going into the store would help. Alyssa a manager in the Manchester store didn't ask how she could help, but demanded receipt proofs, and put me on the defensive. After two hours of wasted time, no ticket number and promises unkept, she encouraged me to wait and not submit a Verizon dispute form, needless to say I had to, and in two days I had my money back.

The review of the Apple Store at the Mall of New Hampshire seem to be on two extremes, either…read more5-stars or 1-star. I can see how new employees, not properly trained, can wreak havoc on a customer's device, especially when one has driven long distances to seek assistance and instead get an "oh well" or a "call the non-support center" and wait six hours to get a human... Well, I did it in reverse and it worked. I tried the Apple "non-support Center" first and I got what I expected, hour-wait and a non-resolution of my problem. So then I ended up getting a Genius Bar appointment and had the luch of dealing with Justin, who apparently knows a lot about Apples. I arrived on time and went to the Genius Bar where I saw Justin, who although was waiting on three other people, had time to work with all of us. My issue was that somehow, different large movie apps and their gigabyte-sized files had created invisible grabs on my memory so my system memory (for an iPad) was 140GB. I had previously tried to first offload, then delete apps by the score, then erase and reformat from a backup but it didn't work. So came over here to get the scoop on how to redo it from scratch. Justin took me through the paces and it turned my system files from 140 GB down to 8. Exactly what I wanted. I left with a working piece of equipment. Prompt, courteous, good value.
