The review of the Apple Store at the Mall of New Hampshire seem to be on two extremes, either 5-stars or 1-star. I can see how new employees, not properly trained, can wreak havoc on a customer's device, especially when one has driven long distances to seek assistance and instead get an "oh well" or a "call the non-support center" and wait six hours to get a human... Well, I did it in reverse and it worked. I tried the Apple "non-support Center" first and I got what I expected, hour-wait and a non-resolution of my problem. So then I ended up getting a Genius Bar appointment and had the luch of dealing with Justin, who apparently knows a lot about Apples. I arrived on time and went to the Genius Bar where I saw Justin, who although was waiting on three other people, had time to work with all of us. My issue was that somehow, different large movie apps and their gigabyte-sized files had created invisible grabs on my memory so my system memory (for an iPad) was 140GB. I had previously tried to first offload, then delete apps by the score, then erase and reformat from a backup but it didn't work. So came over here to get the scoop on how to redo it from scratch. Justin took me through the paces and it turned my system files from 140 GB down to 8. Exactly what I wanted. I left with a working piece of equipment. Prompt, courteous, good value. read more

I have never dealt with such incompetent customer service in my life. The manager and one of the employees clearly had no idea what they were doing, yet they acted like my family and I were the ones who didn't understand the process. We went in to buy FOUR iPhones, and after everything they put us through, we only ended up buying three because they completely destroyed our confidence in them. They had us erase all the data from my phone without stopping to think that our phone numbers are Brazilian, meaning we couldn't receive the verification codes needed to set everything back up. They made the exact same mistake THREE TIMES. After the second time, I specifically told them not to erase my data again because it was causing serious problems, and somehow they still managed to mess it up a third time. It's unbelievable that they ignored what I was saying and kept repeating the same mistake. We were this close to losing years of photos, contacts, and important information, and if I hadn't stepped in and caught what was happening, we probably would have lost everything. The manager was absolutely useless throughout the entire situation--no solutions, no accountability, no leadership, nothing. Instead of taking responsibility, they treated us like we were confused, when in reality they were the ones making one mistake after another. It was stressful, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable. If you're going to work in a job that involves setting up people's phones and handling their personal data, at least know what you're doing. This entire experience was a disaster, and I honestly wouldn't trust them with another device ever again. read more

Worst service ever! The technicians are on their own schedule. It doesn't seem to matter if you actually have an appointment or not - they waltz out of the back room when they are good & ready. In my case, I had to wait a 1/2 hr. - this on a day when I was short on time. Further, my problem was misdiagnosed on 3 occasions. As a result I burned through 7.5 hrs of travel time and unnecessarily bought a $130 charger - this without any kind of an apology or resolution. When I confronted the manager about the exceptionally poor service I had consistently received over the past few weeks, the response was defensive, confrontational & preachy. Jen (the manager) is not only incredibly patronizing, but mocking.. RUN, don't walk. Bad, bad juju. read more

Ray,at the Genius Bar, did a diagnostic test of my MacBook Air to find that I need a new battery. He kept it for servicing and I should get it back in a few days to use for a few more years. Ray had excellent customer service. He tells you everything you need to know and showed me the results of diagnostic test! He is calm and thorough in his presentation. My 9-year-old and I came in this afternoon with help wiping my mother's phone who has passed. I'm disappointed I can't remember the name of the person who helped us, but he was excellent! He's from Merrimack and has 12 year old twins bc we talked about phone security a lot. Anyway, I hope he gets some recognition because I paid nothing, but was never treated like we weren't valued. My one and only visit to an apple store. My daughter managed to lock out our iPad to the point it wouldn't recover. I had an appointment which I was on time for and only waited about 10 minutes. The tech was friendly and knowledgeable; whil I am tech savvy j don't have a lot of experience with Apple products so she gave me some tips as I set it back up. Not going to convert me to be ab Apple guy, but the experience does make it appealing! read more

Literally the worst customer service ever. During phone set up, the assistants were not at all helpful nor attentive to the problems that my friend and I were facing. This was not like the Apple Store in Boylston St in Boston - there were enough specialists , just the customers weren't receiving the right/personalized information. SOME of the specialists were very patient, kind, knowledgeable, but others, not so much and did not seem to possess adequate knowledge on the iPhone process that we were going through. Would not recommend coming here just for a new Apple product. read more

The Apple Store at the Mall of NH is the store should be the store that sets the bar for all the others. As a a consumer I have had experiences with multiple Apple stores...all are good. This store, however, was 10/10. Joshua was knowledgeable and honest. He spent time with me and my mom who was purchasing an iPad Pro. The other employees were smiling and friendly. To top it off, the manager actively wandered the store and interacted with everyone. It was obvious he was proud of the store and those that worked with him....just wonderful! read more

Daughter went in for a cracked back of phone and left with a phone that didn't work went back and they wanted to deflect blame and did little to make it right. If I could rate zero I would I got my I phone 15 pro on Tuesday night and on Wednesday morning while using it the shield that protects the lenses cracked and spread around it the phone was less than 24 hrs old Nobody at the store helped me and showed very little respect to what I was saying They wanted me to use my ins and pay the $29.00 dollars to have it fixed even though I kept saying I did not want this phone anymore and that I was not going to pay for a defected phone ,not a damaged one , as they were implying I left the store very disappointed with the apple policy , with the store care for the customers and with the attention they gave to my problem Never going back to this store read more

25 people working in the store - almost double the number of customers - yet somehow they don't have enough employees to replace a battery despite the fact that I made an appointment specifically to replace a battery. I drove an hour and 20 mins to get here for a new battery only to be told I can come back tomorrow because battery replacement takes an hour. When I explained it was over an hour until they close, the employee helping me repeated. "I understand, I just work here" instead of checking with the techs to see WHY they couldn't complete it in the hour before they close. He also then changed the story and said it would take 90 mins to replace the battery because they have to run pre- and post-repair diagnostics...all this was likely to run down the clock to under an hour to explain why I couldn't get my battery repaired. I was also told that I needed a separate appointment for my replacement AirPods, but when I tried to schedule the appointment, it wanted to cancel my battery appointment. I'm giving a second star only because the person helping me made an appointment for my AirPod replacement on the spot. Unfortunately, I'm immediately taking the star away because the employee working the front of the store checking people in had really cool pink glasses which I complimented and she thanked me, but when I asked where she got them, she Pretty Womaned me! Instead of giving me a direct response, she just said, "They're very expensive." As I stood there staring at her through the $750 Prada frames on my face with my iPhone 12 Pro, a pair of AirPod Pros, and an Apple Watch on my person, I understood Vivian in Pretty Woman better than ever when I mumbled to myself, "I have money to spend here..." Meanwhile her "very expensive" frames were $560 from KirkKirk.com. Overall I wouldn't recommend this Apple Store and next time would drive even farther out of the way to go to a different one where they're more helpful & less judgmental. read more

The first appointment I had for for my sons iPad during covid was fast and smooth people actually worked. Came here yesterday for an appointment got stuck in traffic but made it before the wait time period and they said I was late and had nobody to help me the iPad problem, mind you the tech that help fix the iPad last time was just standing around talking to each other about nonsense. I stopped by the Manchester store on a layover Wednesday morning to upgrade my iPhone. That purchase never happened. Here's why: For context: I've been an Apple customer since 1980, starting with the Apple 2+ computer. I have owned several Macs, and another dozen-ish Apple products as well. I currently own an iPhone, an iPad, and an Apple Watch. So does my wife. So do my daughters. Before my retirement, I worked with various members of the Apple team @ 1 Infinite Loop in several contexts. To say I am in the Apple camp is a bit of an understatement. My expectations for Apple are high, but not - I think - unreasonably so. My visit to the Manchester store: I had a layover in Manchester NH,And went into the Mall of New Hampshire store to get some guidance on doing the upgrade. The conversation with them went as follows: Me: I need to upgrade my iPhone. What are the differences between these two models? I'm particularly interested in performance differences Apple: what do you mean "performance"? Me: Well, I know they have different CPUs and chipsets. But what does that mean? Apple: what do you mean? Me: perhaps there's someone in the back you could consult on this question? Apple: OK, but all we have is the information that appears on these models on the showroom floor. [10 minute break while the research is being done] Apple person returns: if you want more information, you'll have to look it up on the website. Go to Apple.com. Me: thank you. Bye. I took a pass on that advice, and went to Tom's Hardware Page and two other places. (A five second web search identified sources for this information.) easypeasy. Key takeaways: If I upgrade to a new iPhone (likely, despite the above) it certainly will not be at this store. I am prepared to forgive them for their lack of knowledge, and for the UX of the Apple TV as well, but being told to "go to the website" was a showstopper as far as this store is concerned. I'll go elsewhere. Suggestion: If sales are underperforming expectations for the store, apple might want to consider a bit of added training for the sales floor team. At the very least, have one person available who understands the value of a consultative sales engagement rather than just adding up transactions. read more

Horrible. Greeted by a man whose nose was literally dripping into his mustache. When we pointed out that he had mucus on his upper lip, he used his sleeve to wipe his nose and face like a child. I came in to get a new iPad and iPhone and both times I was helped by Dylan. Each time he was super helpful and amazing. He was so patient since I am so bad with technology. He took the time to explain all the ins and outs of apple products and which ones would be a good match for what I would use it for. Super smart and informative! It is great to have an Apple Store closer to North Country of NH. The staff is educated in their product, friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. It can get a little crazy busy in Apple Stores, especially on weekends, so try to go on a weekday. I have been an Apple customer since 1984. A stock owner, a customer, and like many Apple fans, an evangelist for their products and the way they do business. They treat their employees well, their customers are king, and the products are top-quality. At this Apple Store, I have seen first-hand the excellent customer service. I have witnessed the staff take the time to determine what product is best for the customer, even if it is less expensive. For example, they asked an older woman if she really needed an expensive laptop and she ended up with a great iMac that suit her needs and was much less expensive. When I have made the mistake of being at this store when crazy busy, the staff kept an eye on me, kept me informed of my place in the queue, and made me feel like they cared. They have always done their best to accommodate me, going above and beyond duty! There is no wonder why the Apple Store makes more per square inch than any other store on Earth. They deserve their success and they are one of the few American companies that understand how to treat the customer and make a quality product through their entire line. read more

This was my first time being inside an Apple store...set up is a little weird to me, feels like a lunch room or something but that's beside the point anyhow. Long story short...went to Best Buy (made appt through Apple.com) for a battery replacement and they broke my phone and weren't going to do a damn thing for me. Which was a joke to say the least. So I called Apple and they were so nice to me on the phone, he set me up with an appt at this Apple store and told me they would fix my phone or get me into a new one. I went in and walked up to someone who worked there, they sat me down to wait for someone, probably waited for about 5 mins and they were super busy, so that's fine by me. This guy asked me what happened, I told him and he left a min and came back with a brand new phone for me. He was going to help me set it up but I already knew how and then I was good to go. Super fast, super easy and god damn it was so nice of them to fix the mistake that Best Buy made. Good experience in my book. read more

Arrived at 1:30pm for a 1:40pm appointment. Been waiting an hour since we checked in. No one has approached us to touch base. So we sit here. 45 minutes pass and we ask and are told they are running behind even though another customer with later appointment being served and left. An hour later still no one helping us and now irritated. Service here sucks. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. My boyfriend's phone had a swollen battery. We go to apple and they told us they'd have to get a new battery shipped to the store once it arrived, we would get a call and could come anytime to get it fixed. It arrived a week later and we drive 30 minutes to get it fixed, and they tell us they can't do it until the next day. We come the next day, another 30 minute drive, and during the repair, which we had to wait an hour for, they split the casing of the screen and could no longer do it in store. They told us we could either pay $699 or have it shipped out to be fixed, which they'd provide a loaner phone for. Mind you, even after shipping it out, there's a chance it wont be covered due to the now split screen which they broke during the repair. We go to active the loaner phone at AT&T and it says the SIM card isn't supported and that the phone is locked by the carrier. So back to apple, they tell us they just have to restore the phone. This is only the second time I've set foot in an Apple Store. This store is fairly new, opened about a year ago I think. My friend visiting from Scotland had to make a pilgrimage. He's been trying for over 20 years to convince us to drink the "Kool-Aid", but other than finally getting iPhones three or four years ago, and receiving our first iPad (yes ok, a few upgrades since) from my husband's employer as a thank you gift, we haven't fully succumbed. Give it another 20 years. ;) My chum initially said he didn't need any more tech gadgets, but I knew he was kidding himself. He claims he was trying to be good. Uh huh. Sure enough he found the new Magic Trackpad at a much better price than he could pay in Edinburgh, $129 instead of £109. Customer rep, Bruce, was very helpful and chatty. Visited this store today in order to have all data transferred from iPhone 6S to new iPhone 11, purchased earlier from store. Stated twice that I do not want to use Icloud for backup all data and been advised that they can do straight transfer via special computer and it will take 40 mIn. Tech person who was taking care of operation left for his brake and pass his work to colleague without clear explanation what hav to be done. Data was not transferred and new person tried to set iCloud to backup all info, despite on me saying before to every Apple person I had to talk with, that I do not want to use iCloud for back up all info. So, it was not a pleasant experience, job is not done, Apple staff at that store does not care. And I had to fruvs to that store 1,5 hour. Should not have done it, was total waste of time. read more

WARNING! DO NOT BRING YOUR APPLE DEVICE HERE! This is *the* single worst Apple store I've been to, and I've been to a great many. This store needs a serious lesson in customer service. I had to wait over 3hrs to even get my iPhone looked at when I had AppleCare+ on my device, and I told them I had AppleCare+ right when I made the appointment. Once I got my appointment the Genius was very rude and not particularly helpful. It felt as if he was just trying to hurry up and get to his lunch break. Without even saying a word to me -not even "how is your day going?" small talk- he flagged my iPhone and told me I had to pay full price for a replacement device even though I had AppleCare+. I went to a different Apple store, the one in Salem, which is only 15 minutes away, and was denied repairs because the genius in Manchester flagged my phone for having issues that were not relevant to my warranty, despite the genius at Salem saying said issues didn't appear to be real and they were happy to service my product. But it didn't matter; once your device has been flagged, that's that. I am very dissatisfied with my experience here and I encourage no one to ever bring their Apple device here for a repair. This store is a disgrace to the Apple name. This is a company that prides itself on customer service. And in all my other experiences, that service is exceptional. Apple supervision needs to take notice of these issues, as from the other reviews I have read people are having similar experiences. read more

This is my go to Apple Store whenever I'm making a large purchase. I didn't need a new computer or new phone this trip just some accessories. The girl standing at the door was super helpful. I didn't know what version of the iPad Pro my brother had and she was able to get me the right Apple Pencil without thinking twice. I went to wait in line but she took care of me right away. I was in and out in a few minutes. Wonderful service from this location. If I had a name I would give a kudos. read more

I'm very frustrated after calling ahead to the Manchester store yesterday to request an appointment to purchase an Apple Watch for my son's birthday. The local store associate said that no appointment was necessary, so I drove the 45 miles (each way) to get to the store. When I arrived, the store manager, Taylor Millspaugh, said that an appointment was required. I told him that we were told that is not what his associate and he still refused to see me. As I stood there speaking with Mr. Millspaugh, there were no fewer than 4 internal associates who were not with customers while he was surrounded by 4 associates outside the store as we were speaking, yet he said nobody had availability. As a 20+ year customer who has built my household and several businesses on Apple products, I can say that I will no longer be giving any of my personal or professional business to this store, especially with their poor attitude. This is a sad statement on management with absolutely no understanding or compassion for the situation and complete disregard for doing the right thing. So much for customer service in a service based business! read more

Bought a new phone a month ago got the $9.00 same day delivery. Worked out great delivery person was exceptional. Also did the Apple trade in, sent my phone in when I got the mailer. Sent it in about 2 weeks later I get an email saying my iPhone 8 had no value do to the numbers being different, and also dead pixels. So I emailed them to send it back to me. So a week later a package shows up I open it going to sell it on eBay. The phone I received was an iPhone 6s 128. I called the 800 number and after 45 minutes I was told they found out what happened and someone would email me. Well a week later no e mails from them. And no phone mailed back to me. I realize they use 3rd party companies to do their inspections , but after reading the 3rd party companies reviews it's a common issue. Sounds like I just should have sold it on eBay to begin with and not dealt with a company that can't do what they say they will do! And also the 6s I was sent looks like it was dropped out of a car at 70 mph. I would have been better off selling to one of the kiosks at the mall! read more

I was so happy when they put an Apple store in the mall of New Hampshire, no more driving to Nashua or Salem. We are a business customer through my work and we are lucky enough to have the best Apple employee I've ever come across. To be fair though everybody I've worked with here has been great but Tyler goes above and beyond, always. I am a pretty demanding customer and I've never ever been dissatisfied. I hope they realize that they have a great employee. They have quite a few workshops if you haven't been to one check them out, i've learned quite a bit from going to them. This is the best Apple store I've ever been to, and that is saying a lot because I travel and I've seen quite a few. read more

I cracked my computer screen and was told it would take 3-5 business days to be good as new but one day later my computer was ready to go and I was able to pick it up! Both times in I was greeted at the door with smiling faces by employees asking how they could help me. Great service, will definitely come back to this location if I need help with any of my products in the future. read more
