If I could give 2.5 stars that would be a better reflection of my satisfaction with this company. Three stars is too high because it implies the work was satisfactory to me, which it was not. Two stars is a little harsh, because the workers worked hard in tough conditions and were very friendly and polite. I hired this company to fix some issues with our flat roof deck balcony. The deck was poorly designed and did not drain properly. We were also concerned with the potential for leaks. In discussing the problems with the owner we made it clear that we wanted water to drain more easily off the deck and not form a big puddle. We understood that the drainage would be be perfect without a much more costly job, but expected that for the money we paid it would be significantly better. On completion of the job, this contractor left a high spot right at the drainage point, causing water to still puddle as much as before. When I asked the owner to come back to take a look and fix the remaining problem, he was unwilling to do anything. Shame on me for not getting everything in writing on the quote before we started the job. If you do decide to work with this contractor, I have a word of advice and a word of warning. Advice: get everything you wish to have accomplished fully detailed in the project quote before the work starts. Warning: that friendly 30 year family business person you meet when you first talk about the job turns into somebody completely different when you dare to express any concerns or questions about the finished job. read more

My family and I were looking for a local Evergreen, CO roofing company to fix a small leak coming from our skylight. T Hackbarth answered all my questions and came out the same day to identify the problem. They were prompt, courteous, and very professional. The manager called back right away after the inspectors left to give me the quote (VERY VERY REASONABLE!) and to set-up a time and date, if I wanted to. T. HACKbarth Roofing review We made the expensive mistake of using T. HACKbarth Roofing for three property projects between 2018 and 2020. Todd HACKbarth invoiced us which we passed on to three different insurance companies. We began finding problems after we made the mistake of signing the third contract. He invoiced our insurance companies for projects that were not needed and if they were not completed. We had two non-biased reputable honest roofing companies inspect all of the T. HACKbarth Roofing projects that we were invoiced for. T. HACKbarth Roofing failed to replace six chimney flashing four sides on two properties invoiced and was paid $2,465.22. Failed to replace all twenty roof jack boots, they slopped on caulking and painted instead invoiced and was paid $1,526.50 to replace all of them, now we were quoted $5000.00 from a reputable company to replace because they were not replaced per the insurance paid quote with the non-shingled roofs. Todd HACKbarth informed us after an extensive pre-construction interview that they could rebuild our beautiful patio cover back to original condition. Todd lied again, it looks terrible and leaks, after three request and attempts to repair it, now leaks almost as bad as before the hail storm and it looks like hell they invoiced and were paid $2800.00. Failed to install 72" of ice and water barrier required, HACKbarth installed 18" which serves no purpose with a 30" soffit, Todd inspected, admitted the mistake and blamed it on his employees invoiced and was paid $3,631.20, no reimbursement. HACKbarth invoiced and was paid $2,303.70 for solar panel removal and installation that was completed and paid for by our insurance company $6,800.00 to the solar company contractor that did the work, HACKbarth did not and had nothing to do with the removal or replacement of the panels. Gutters that they replaced were not mounted properly, leaked and after multiple request they could not fix them. HACKbarth invoiced and was paid $5,071.54 to replace all of the gutters on two properties, he only replaced 40% of them. The ones they replaced all leaked, we paid Colorado Seamless Gutters $1,806.00 to remove the 40% of the ones they replaced with new gutters properly installed that do not leak. HACKbarth installed ridge cap shingles on two properties 70% of them had to be replaced because according to the building inspector on our request for a second inspection, they were not prepared to be installed in cold weather conditions, Todd was pissed. HACKbarth invoiced and was paid $1,936.46 to replace a shed, we purchased and installed the shed and they never reimbursed us for our expenses after multiple request. We made the expensive mistake of hiring T. HACKbarth Roofing, learn from our mistakes and do not use this poor excuse of a roofing company. It would be nice if Todd could reply and defend these allegations, if he does he will do what he has through all of these projects is continue to lie, we have series of emails, quotes, recordings and invoices to back everything stated and more. We are contemplating starting the process of filing a lawsuit against T. HACKbarth Roofing to be reimbursed for $30,000.00 + in losses incurred, insurance fraud will be another allegation, unless their company makes eliminates our losses . The last thing that Todd Hackbarth said to me was, "F*^k off A*s hole", this after being paid over $140,000.00, great customer service! If you have not made the same mistake we did, lucky you, don't, if you have, sorry, do what we did, hire a non-biased reputable honest roofing companies inspect all of the T. Great job at an affordable price. With our 6,400 s.f. home in Evergreen finally upgrading from shingles to a modern roof, we needed it done right because it had already been leaking. The roof has a very steep pitch and a dozen skylights. Not only did they get the job done in under a week, but they were on time and professional the whole time. The owner was on the site daily. Finally found a legit roofing company that does there own work .Met John through my gutter guy Dale. They have been roofing over 20 years. Gave us a real good estimate and they started the next day .There crew tore off the old shingles and disposed them in about a half a day .We got the Impact resistant shingles which will save us on insurance cost and a couple spinner roof vents .They put them in right cutting the holes in the roof to vent out the hot air in the attic which will save us energy. The last roof company put in a ridge vent that did not even work you really have to watch these roofing company's that hire subcontractors out to do their work for them.The company before that never cut any holes for the spinners on the roof years before they were doing a thing.Me and my wife noticed the next day how much our house is cooler from the airflow from the spinners that they installed correctly and work properly.There crew only took a day to put the new shingles on .We had to wait a couple days to have the soffit wrap and gable ramps to be wrapped in metal. They do it all siding ,gutters,windows,and roofs. Finally have a company we can trust for a warranty to and live up to there work. read more

Not only did they take more than twice the estimated time to get the job done, but they severely damaged thirty year old landscaping and did such a poor job that we will have to hire a restoration specialist to correct the problems they created on our 123 year-old house. read more
