Getting an appt: I went in in the middle of the day, and only one woman was working. She said she had an appt coming in about 20 minutes, so she asked me to come back. My schedule was flexible, so I said OK. I came back later in the afternoon for a no-chip. Manicure: I'd say it was a good, not great manicure. Massage was quick and nothing special. The color selection was fine. The salon seemed a bit dated, but clean. $$: Price was average ($30). I'll give this place one more shot since they're conveniently located to me!

I am surprised that no one has reviewed Lovely Nails before. I was looking for a nail salon close…read moreenough that I wouldn't waste a lot of time in the car with damp nails. Lovely Nails fit the bill. When I visited the salon, it was a Tuesday, early afternoon. There was only one other client in the salon and she was nearly finished. There were only two people working there, but both were very nice. The salon also was very clean. It was no frills, which is fine with me. I went in for a mani/pedi. A woman (sorry, I didn't get her name), did my pedi. She was very good. She spent a good amount of time with a pumice stone, and for the most part was very gentle. She had a little trouble with polishing my toenails, but I have small feet and toes, and she got off all the excess polish, so it was not at all an issue. There are four pedicure chairs; two looked brand new and a third one she told me was also new. The one they save for client who like a more rigorous back massage. I have a bad back, so I don't even turn on the chair, so I was fine forgoing that. It's been nearly a week, and my toes look good. My nails were done by the other person working there, who is a man. He was also nice, though, maybe not as quite as attentive to detail as the woman. I'll have to go back and give him another try. The best part? The mani/pedi was only $44! That very good for this area where one can pay easily over $50. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that they are limited on the colors they offer of nail polish. Next time, I'll bring my own if I want something special. I would definitely recommend them if you want decent mani/pedi for a decent price.

They would laugh and talk to each other in their native language and then they would talk and laugh in English to the other customers. My feet have a lot of cracks and scaly skin. When they spoke in their native language I knew what they were talking and laughing about bcuz they pointed to my feet and laughed when they spoke. They would tell me my feet were gross and when they saw me come in each time they would try to appear busy so they wouldn't have to service my feet. I left crying twice and never went back. Services that were provided to me and my best friend on July 7th that my best friend paid $252 for…read moresucked ass!! The male was sarcastic and funny acting, the female never properly clipped and cleaned the nails and cuticles before applying the acrylic to the nails. The service was rushed and unfriendly. The lady was rude talking in a foreign language on her phone the whole time while attempting to do my nails in which she messed up the hearts and didn't get the acrylic up to the finger part where the cuticle was never cut and pushed back properly. Also, the acrylic was not properly placed over the nail fully and now the nails are coming up, bubbling up and cracking and my friends nail has now come off at a week and two days later when they should be staying on about three weeks in which she doesn't do any strenuous work that involve her hands. Also, when my best friend went to pay, they tried to hassle her out of her money to pull it out of a time machine and said that they would take off five dollars off of the 200 and something dollars that she owed and asked several times. Today, my best friend called and expressed her concerns about our nails coming up and not being done correctly, and the lady was belligerent and rude about this and was not willing to be understanding and was screaming at my best friend. I do not recommend anybody go here and have anything done as they feel they can do shitty work, rush, lie and try to swindle people out of money so that they can pocket it by having them pull it out of a Time Machine. Also the lady was rude to my female friend calling her saying oh you man and your female that came in and the man made comments to my husband about why wasn't or that he should being paying for my nails and toes when that's none of yalls business and not professional at all!!
