During covid, my pedi skills (well the lack there of, that is lol) became apparent . I ruined my toenails, cutting them waaaay too low, a couple of them I even cut into the skin by mistake! When "outside" opened back up, I tried TWO nail salons, explaining thoroughly prior to arriving that I'd need tips added to my toes until my nails grew back. Over the phone, all seemed well....but upon arrival I was greeted with strange looks and one place even told me they wouldn't do it although I had an appointment specifically for this. I was so disappointed, assuming I'd just have ugly feet for up to a year while I wait for my toenails to grow . For someone who prides themselves on and gets MANY compliments on her feet, this was truly a sad time for me. One day I headed to Lynnhaven Mall and decided to park at a side entrance instead of the main to avoid the crowd. Happened to walk by this spot, and one of the techs greeted me as I walked by, so warmly. I decided to ask him about my situation, just to see. Couldn't hurt right?‍ Not only did he understand my request, he seemed like it was a normal request AND he actually seemed enthused about helping me! Needless to say, he did an AMAZING job, took his time, and was very jovial with me the entire time. I am so proud of his work and the almost family-type vibe he provides when I'm in his chair. David has brought me back! And now that my toes nails have grown out perfectly, I'd still never trust my feet to another! read more

Mall nail salons are honestly on my list of places I never want to go to, but I was already out Christmas shopping so I wanted to kill two birds with one stone. This location is actually always busy, so I took that as a good sign. Came in for a pedicure & was immediately seated. I love that they have the plastic baggies in the bowls for sanitation + easy clean up. Unsure of her name (kind of tall with the glasses) but she did amazing! Did everything I wanted plus some! My feet/toes feel soooo much better. Was pressed some to upgrade to gel polish but I stood my ground. Low ratings here but it seems the type of place where select people are good at what they do. Shop on the shabby side, but it served its purpose for me today. It feels awesome when you get exactly what you expect/want without having to ask. read more

MOLASSES! slower than any nail salon I have ever visited. The lady performing my pedicure seemed more interested in social engineering me than being timely in the execution of service. Located inside Lynnhaven mall this is a crowded nail shop where they they bellow as you walk by to get you to come in. Without spite, this will be my first and last visit here. Despite what language you speak, you just know when someone is talking ish about you and those around you. That vibe is strong here. I did say something and she seemed shocked that I was able to decipher her sh*t talking. It didn't make the service any faster. Why a regular pedicure took 90 minutes is beyond comprehension. There seemed to be some hesitation about wrapping my nails while my pedicure was in progress but they relented and another lady did my gel manicure. A lot of time was spent trying to upsell me and it was frustrating that the three times I declined before weren't enough or respected. I ended up here when my traditional nail shop was shuttered without notice. It served its purpose and I am not confident in referring anyone here. Service was great, pedicure looks AMAZING. I feel once we got to the manicure (don't get me wrong, I came here around 730 PM and when I left they were past their closing time) but the manicure felt extremely rushed. Like....no cutting or pushing cuticles back, felt like she was filing my skin sometimes when she wasn't looking at my nail but still filing it. Now it hasn't been a week and my gel manicure is peeling already, and you see more of the corners and edges that were missed, and it's disappointing to say the least. PROs: clean, well-decorated, quality (OPI) nail polishes with an above average color selection, massage chairs that work, and they greet you as soon as you walk in. CON: my only gripe is that the guy doin my pedicure hardly loofah'ed or massaged my feet and legs at all. I've gotten tons of pedicures before but this was the laziest. The young man who did my pedicure was quick but was still detail oriented. I did the dip manicure. I also received a wax treatment that was included in the manicure which was really nice. Really moisturized my hands. I usually go to another shop that caters mostly towards appts which is fine. I went to T&C on a Tuesday around 7 and was out my lunch 815. I can see myself coming back in the future. The only suggestion I would have is for them to spray the chairs down with some Lysol spray.... they had a slight odor. I went to Lynhaven Mall yesterday I decided to have my nails done. I just want to have some pedicure but the lady named Rachel offered to try the foot-spa with stone massage and scrub worth 55$. I said yes I'll try it! I also tried the ombre manicure worth $50. I noticed she did not removed a cuticle she just used nail file and add the artificial nails. After that I asked her to kindly remove the cuticle . She said I have to charge you 12$ because it's manicure. I said never mind I will just do it at home since I have nipper. She said ok I will do it free this time. I said I don't mind paying but you could have told me earlier because I'm not really aware of the service because I don't usually go to nail salon. I'd give a 1 and half rating if I could. This place is nice I have to admit, but the way one of the ladies who worked on me, did an okay job on the acrylics. But she was not careful around my skin, she cut me several times and and she applied some kind of liquid my pinky would not stop burning. I didn't want to say anything because I'm too nice and I just wanted her too finish. She also made a couple of them crooked. And secondly she overcharged me. There was another girl in there who had gotten the same nails I was getting (short, almond, pink ombré acrylic), I heard the nail tech say hers was 50$, and when I was finished, I was charged 10$ more than her!! The lady had a white girl name but I can't remember exactly what it was (I think it was Rachel). This review isn't so much for the entire salon but for Tracy. I believe she is the manager. I had gone there for a fill and nail repair by a girl who used to work there but she wasn't there anymore and I was helped by Tracy. I have never had someone do such an amazing job on my acrylics. They are PERFECT every time. I can't say much about anything else in the salon as I've only gotten Fills there. But if you are looking for an awesome nail tech go see Tracy! Only down side is you have to remember to bring cash, unless you want to pay like $3 for the ATM fee to tip. read more

I am done with this place. I wanted a quick pedicure while at the mall shopping. Upsell, upsell, upsell. I got tired of saying No. RACHEL took the relaxation and pleasure of out my experience. I picked my color and when I was upsold to GEL, the color was completely different. I was just ready to get out of there. I was really not impressed with this salon. The "technicians" were very pushy and tried to get me to agree to more services than what I was asking for. Also, I am a bit of a germaphobe and so I did not appreciate how my pedicure technician kept rinsing off her instruments in the same water I had my feet in to "relax." That wasn't very relaxing to me. Also, the technicians were very distracted the whole time that they were giving my daughter and I pedicures - they kept looking at the door as if they really did not want to be there, which didn't make me feel very welcome. My daughter really wanted her eyebrows waxed and I don't know if this is normal or not, but she had little blisters on her forehead above her eyebrows for days afterwards. At Lynnhaven Mall PROS---- the eyebrow service is good. I've been going there for about a year getting my brows done and I love the fact I don't have to wait. I don't have to have an appt, and they look great. CONS----I had never used their services for a pedicure, and I never will again. The young lady cut my toe trying to remove the dead cuticles. It was small at first but then began BLEEDING a lot. I didn't even notice that she didn't loofah my feet at all because of the pain. She simply soaked my feet, cleaned my nails, removed the cuticle, massaged each calf for a minute each, painted my toes, and sent me on my way. WORST PEDI EVER! I went shopping for abt 20 mins and when I looked at my feet they were dry and ashy. I saw another woman coming out when I was leaving. I asked her how her experience was. My parents came down to visit a few months ago and my mother wanted a pedicure. While we were walking around the mall we ended up stopping in T & C Nails. My mom said it was one of the best pedicures she's ever had. Half way through, my dad ended up jumping in the chair next to me. He loved his pedicure. Bug crawled by my foot as I had one in and one out. Lady started on right foot. Immediately felt like she was ripping my toenails off. She cut one of my toes. Vincent, who recently did my pink and white that I absolutely loved, and Le who is always friendly and does amazing pedicures. I would definitely recommend checking this place out. The nail tech Anthony did a good job on my pink and white tips and I decided to get the spa pedicure with the hot stones. It was great and at one point I actually fell asleep! It took a little over two hours for a mani, pedi, and quick eyebrow wax. My manicurist never asked me what kind of service I wanted, and I didn't think I needed to specify basic manicure. Partly my fault for being too agreeable...but I didn't realize I was getting a special manicure until he dipped my hand in wax for me (I had never done this before). They are the nicest people and really make you feel welcomed and feel beautiful. Just had my friends come here to get our nails done for my wedding and they all loved it as well. After my experience yesterday, I warn everyone going to this place to be careful. I have came to this place a couple times. The guy that did my nails the first 2 times ( I think they fired him) He did good nails but he never put cuticle oil on the cuticles ( not a big issue for me) or made sure nothing was under my nails. Anyway, this other older guy was going my nails yesterday and i asked for a design that was simple to me and the other young lady that was working there. She told him how to do it using tape on my ring fingers, instead of him saying that he couldn't do it and get someone that could, he tells me that it will look better if I get all of my nails painted normally. I didn't make a big deal about it so I asked what designs he can do. He said that he can do crazy lines. It came out nice, not what I wanted though but Ok. So then he goes to take my shoes off to do my toes. I told him earlier that I didn't want my toes done because I was going to do a pedicure with my friend on Sunday. He still taking my shoes off, saying that its Ok. I'm thinking he trying to make up for the design issue because he rushed the toe paint job anyway. Then I go to sit under the toe dryer and he tells me that my nails are still $33 (even though I didn't get what I wanted) and my toes are $10. I was like, I didn't want my toes done in the first place. I paid it because the work was done. I sat in there for 30 minutes while my toes dry. Customer coming and going from the dryer area and in that time frame, the guy that did my nails never came back to check on me. It was one worker who just walked in who asked me if I was waiting to get my nails done. I was hustled bad from this company. Which I shouldn't have paid it but lesson learned. Worst nail experience!! My daughter got a French manicure was not only done poorly, nails were misshapen. She went in with nicely shaped nails and came out a mess. They took polish off and gave us $5 refund for cost of French, but now she is sad and still needs to paint her nails.Now have no time to get redone before event tonight. Came in just a little while ago to get my nails done for my graduation shoot at 11am. I got there at 10:20 and before I agreed to get my nails done I asked them if I would be out by 11am. They said of course. So I sit down and the middle aged lady with the glasses starts doing my nails at a very slow pace, but I assume she knows what she's doing so I don't say anything. She constantly nips my nails, but she apologized repeatedly. It is 10:56 and I ask her if she will be done soon and she smiles and laughs, but doesn't try to understand what I'm asking her. Annoyed, I call & tell the photographer that I will be late. then 11:15 rolls around and that's when I tried to say something to other employees about my nail color because it's not what I asked for and they still don't understand what I'm saying. So upset and not trying to cause a scene I wait and then pay, still leaving a nice tip. This is my second time having a problem with them so I will never be going back again.
