It happened very quickly. I have a much loved garden that has been a joy for many years but became a neglected sad space ever since the COVID lockdown and there was no one to do the regular maintenance. The funny thing is how things accumulate and the neglect kind of feeds itself to become even deeper neglect. At some point, one simply throws up their hands, shrugs and gives up. Our neighbour was doing a remodel and I suppose Systems pavers were around to introduce themselves to the neighbors. That's when I first met one of their representative who made an appointment with their design person, Robin. My first meeting with Robin was detailed and we finished a (non judgemental.. to my relief) walk through the garden. We identified four different areas that could use some paver work. My much loved and well used garden already had many sentimental nooks and crannies. In the past, I haven't been able to do any work with other landscapers because every designer wanted to 'raze it down' for a 'clean slate'. I told Robin that I did not want to take away what made the garden special to me.. its familiar coziness and the nostalgia. Finally, we picked two areas to pave. The first area had to be a rectangular area leaving the existing fruit trees and rose bushes intact. And the second was a neglected spot that was visited by critters but had potential. Robin had fancy tools that quickly zigged and zagged on the screen for exact measurements. We finally chose to do only two areas because we haven't worked with Systems Pavers before and wanted to see their process. Suffice to say, we will work with them again for the front area also. Part 1 is done. For Part 2, Robin brought in their project manager and introduced Adrian. Adrian was very efficient and quickly managed/set expectations about timeline and what to expect in the next few days. They started on a Monday and finished on Thursday. Our expectations was that it would take a 5 days- a week! The crew came bright and early in the morning..and got to work right away. Adrian came to check on the work everyday and sent video messages about the progress when we weren't around to meet with him. During the border installation, more workers joined the crew. The borders seem to be the most challenging skill. We had also added two benches in the beginning by the door, but then I wanted it under the fruit trees instead. They were able to accommodate the change in its placement. It looks nice now. One thing lost in communication was the color of the pavers and the arrangement of it. It turned out fine.. so it's ok. I also liked that the installation crew cleaned up every day after the day's job was done. They didn't leave it messy until the completion day. So basically, there are three managers involved. Robin who did the design and initial development. Adrian who was the project manager. And Ben who was the head of the install team. The install crew was 2-4 people working on different things. The delivery of the pavers, informing the neighbours of the disturbance and even the porta potty for the crew was all taken care by them. The value is in the management. There are many companies and landscapers who install pavers. It's a straight forward job, but the co-ordination of all the different moving parts and tasks seamlessly with daily updates makes the experience painless with System Pavers. You definitely get what you pay for. I have had concrete and flagstone work done before. Pavers are going to be pricier than concrete, sure.. but this comes with a 25 year warranty (except around trees if paver stones are displaced or lifted due to aggressive roots). And the warranty is transferable even if the property is sold. It's definitely an investment. Every year, maintenance becomes an issue and it is becoming more and more difficult to find people who can do the hard work needed for a beautiful garden space that can be enjoyed. For me, heating me out and including the established fruit trees and roses in the design and building around it sealed the deal. While pavers can be for driveways or pathways or sitting areas.. for a small backyard space like mine, it has to perform many functions without sacrificing the greenery and still retain the look of a garden. The entire team worked hard to keep that vision in mind. It was a lovely experience and a great team. Thanks! read more

I am pleased to be writing this review today. A brief history of my previous experience in trying to get this project done. I literally met with and interviewed up to 10 companies or individuals for this backyard project. Every one of them came in at a price I was not happy with and designs that were really not on point. I received a flyer in the mail about a discount sale happening with System Pavers. I had heard of them, was reluctant, but thought I had nothing to lose by just having them come meet with me. In all sincerity, it was the best, unexpected event to come my way in some time. Darryl McMillan was the sales rep as well as the designer. I had looked at many designs, but this man sat down right there and then and came up with a conceptual drawing that was unparalleled to all those others and it hit all the boxes for me. Darryl's skills impressed me. Fast, effective, personable and on many occasions walked me though things giving up of his time, again and again....and again. The quote came in under those of all others. I agreed to move forward. Then came the construction. Jeremy Durfee was the lead. He was prompt, profession, personable and an effect leader for his team. The work moved along like clockwork. I hit a concern in the middle of the project and it was addressed and corrected promptly. They finished this project in warp speed. As things moved forward I realized I needed additional work done. Jeremy promised me he would be there through the whole project if that was desired. I again sought another bid, only to come back to Jeremy (why did I not do that to begin with?!) He responded to my deadline desires and demonstrated consideration for the needs of his customers and his team. He, like Darryl, is a true professional. I see them as a well oiled team. In fact, I was at a neighborhood party last Friday evening (this is all true) and my neighbor leaned over to say he watched from the widow of his home office and saw my project going up. He said the teamwork was remarkable and the speed it went up was impressive. Additionally, though, he added much to my pleasure, " it looks fantastic, it is really beautiful." Naturally I gave them the name of System Pavers. He just bought his home and will likely be doing some backyard work! I advised him to choose these guys. Who wouldn't? Thank you both Darryl McMillan and Jeremy Durfee. Sincerely. read more

We collaborated with System Pavers on a project to construct a retaining wall in our backyard and pave the area. Pros: Our experience with System Pavers began with Chris Weiss. He exhibited remarkable attention to detail, investing countless hours in assisting us with project scoping, measurements, design, and quoting. Chris played a significant role in ensuring the project's success from the outset, and we were thoroughly pleased with his work. Throughout the project's execution, Javier Rodriguez served as our project manager. He was very easy to get a hold of, making it effortless to discuss any concerns we had. Javier visited the site daily, expertly addressed every issue we brought to his attention and provided clear explanations when needed. His unwavering availability and friendly demeanor made him an exceptional project manager, and we relished the opportunity to collaborate with him. The workers demonstrated exceptional kindness and worked diligently to complete the project while also taking great care of our requests and property. One commendable aspect of the company's service was their willingness to handle several tasks for us without any additional charges. For instance, they took care of the excess dirt from our yard by disposing of it at no extra cost. Cons: Despite being touted as the largest paver installer in the western US, we had higher expectations regarding the craftsmanship and quality of their work. We encountered several instances where we had to request corrections, including: The drainage piping was initially installed without glue, and only after raising the issue with the crew, they started properly gluing the pieces together. Upon completion, the pavers appeared uneven and, in our opinion, had unnecessarily aggressive sloping and waviness in certain areas. The patio area pavers were not measured and installed symmetrically, leading us to request a return visit from the crew. The retaining wall caps were not correctly glued, necessitating another visit from the team to rectify the situation. These issues left us somewhat dissatisfied with the overall execution of the project. In summary, great people to work with and a decent job done for a reasonable amount of money - thank you folks! read more

We couldn't be happier with our new paver stone driveway! Not only did this company do a fantastic job, but they've restored our faith in humanity. We've always had flooding issues with our driveway, and a few years ago, we let a con man talk us into digging up our concrete driveway and replacing it with blacktop. It was a disaster, with some of the worst workmanship you could imagine, and it introduced a host of new issues. We were really reluctant to trust anyone to fix all of these problems. Enter Team System Pavers! Lidiana came in and came up with a vision (which I could tell she found challenging, but was undaunted). She broke down every part, and explained exactly how to address every single issue. And she made sure that we felt 100% good with our decision. When Ryan, our project manager came on, I knew we were in good hands. Again, he explained each step, and what we could expect. And the foreman, Ben, and his team were quick, professional, and provided a great level of craftsmanship! Now, this job didn't go off without a hitch; there were a few hiccups along the way. That's to be expected in any sort of job like this. What impressed me is that when I brought these matters up, Ryan apologized for the miscommunication, and they made it right immediately. The communication was excellent, and they made sure we were happy with everything before I signed off. Could we have gotten a new driveway for cheaper? Probably; especially if we would have gone with cement again. But could we have gotten a better, more professional, and pleasant team or a more beautiful driveway that fixed all of our problems? I doubt it. I'm hoping we can call them back again soon for a phase 2 on our property! read more

System Pavers transformed our medium-sized backyard into a much more functional and aesthetically pleasing space. Our original backyard had a mix of old, worn-out pavers, scattered rocks, and a decent-sized low-maintenance tree area. While it served its purpose, it wasn't as usable or inviting as we had hoped. Sarah, the designer, played a crucial role in bringing our vision to life. She worked closely with us to develop an incredible design that not only fit our budget and timeline but also maximized the usability of the space. She carefully considered our ideas and needs, ensuring the final plan was a true reflection of what we had envisioned. Throughout the process, she provided valuable guidance on various design decisions, and looking at the finished backyard now, we are confident that we made the right choices. Adrian, the project manager, took Sarah's designs and expertly turned them into reality. His team was highly skilled, professional, and detail-oriented. From the beginning, Adrian ensured that every aspect of the project was executed with precision. He meticulously reviewed the work before and during the installation, making sure no detail was overlooked. What stood out most was his flexibility--he was incredibly accommodating when we requested a few small last-minute changes, which made a significant difference in the final outcome. Overall, we couldn't be happier with the transformation of our backyard. The entire process was smooth, and the final result exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend System Pavers for their expertise, professionalism, and commitment to delivering high-quality work. read more

From the very first meeting, I had a great experience. Brandon, the design consultant, arrived exactly on time for our appointment, which immediately gave me confidence that this was a reliable and professional company. Brandon took the time to explain the company, the benefits of choosing them, and walked me through the entire process step by step. He even showed me a video of what to expect. At no point did I feel pressured to use their company, and I really appreciated that. It made me feel comfortable and confident in my decision. After my HOA approved the project, Brandon and Ryan, the project manager, came back together to review everything one more time. They double-checked the design and all the measurements to make sure nothing was overlooked. Once I told Ryan I was ready to move forward, he responded the very next business day and scheduled my project to begin as early as the following day. I wasn't home during the installation, but Ryan kept me updated every step of the way. He sent text messages, photos, and videos showing the crew's arrival, the progress of the work, and the completed stages. It truly felt like I was there throughout the entire process. Foreman Ben made sure everything ran smoothly, efficiently, and with attention to quality. The estimated completion time was 1 to 1 1/2 weeks, but the entire project was completed in just 48 hours. I came home to a beautiful, professionally finished, and spotless patio. It was an absolute pleasure working with Ryan, Brandon, Ben, and the entire team. They exceeded my expectations with their professionalism and communication. read more

Adrian O'Donoghue from System Pavers really came thru for us. We were in the process of getting multiple bids to do our backyard when System Pavers did a door knock campaign at our new housing development by Shea Homes. The sales pitch was really good, & as they say "made us an offer we can't refuse". Short story long, the final finished pavers were not up to the standards we expected from the sales pitch. We had some serious issues with unevenness. Unfortunately the numerous fixes attempted by the project manager Rio, failed to remedy the problem. We became very frustrated. Fortunately, our dissatisfaction made it to the next level of management & Adrian came to our rescue. Adrian along with Brandon Derouen (construction manager) came to listen to our complaints. They both truly listened. They looked at the finished product & confirmed that it was not done right. To our surprise (pleasantly), they offered to take the whole thing apart & redo it the right way. Which they did. The pavers now look the way they should've looked in the first place. We also had an issue with the bark/mulch that was provided for the edges. They are of a very poor quality with lots of pieces of old chopped up wood signs & long ugly shards. To our surprise again, Adrian offered to take the old stuff out & replace it all with a better quality product. He dropped off a bunch of samples for us to pick. The task was scheduled & finished without a hitch. Thank you Adrian for really listening to our concerns & fixing everything to our satisfaction. You definitely deserves a promotion & a raise. read more

What an amazing job by System Pavers! I honestly cannot believe this is the same backyard. The transformation is incredible, and the entire experience from start to finish was excellent. Deakon came out initially, measured everything, walked me through the project in detail, and helped me understand exactly how the finished backyard would look. He also provided a very competitive quote. I actually received four other quotes, and nothing came close to the overall value and experience System Pavers offered. When we weren't sure about the paver color and style, Deakon went above and beyond to help us get samples so we could see exactly how they would look before making the final decision. That made us feel much more confident moving forward. Once everything was signed, Adrian came in with his crew and was fantastic throughout the entire installation. He explained every step of the process, kept me updated along the way, and the final result turned out even better than I expected. Adrian was always available whenever I had questions, and the entire project was completed within just 5 days! Now I completely understand why System Pavers has such great reviews. The quality of the work, attention to detail, communication, and overall experience were outstanding. I'm posting some before-and-after pictures because the transformation really speaks for itself! A huge thank you to Deakon, Adrian, and the entire System Pavers team. You guys did an incredible job, and we absolutely love our new backyard! Highly recommend! read more

In 2023, I chose System Pavers to upgrade my backyard space and they did an amazing job. Fast forward to 2026, I needed to upgrade my driveway, walkway and front porch. I called and reconnected with Roger Page who I worked with on the backyard project. Nothing changed over the 3-years since I last dealt with Roger. He was still as responsive, helpful and professional as ever. I met with him at my house and signed on with System Pavers for my front yard and driveway. I then met with the project manager, Adrian O'Donoghue, and he was amazing. He was great to talk with and answered my many questions. He visited my house often while the work was being done and kept me updated regularly via texts and walk-through videos. During the walkthroughs, Adrian listened to my concerns and took the necessary action to rectify them. He noticed a couple little things during the walkthroughs and he had the crew fix them. These were minor things I missed or didn't pay any attention to but he saw them immediately. His attention to detail was amazing. The crew Adrian used for my project were some of the hardest working guys I've seen. They finished the job faster than promised. After everything was done they took the time to clean up and you'd never know I had work done at the house other than for the new driveway, walkway and porch which came out amazing. I'm very happy with the work that has been done by System Pavers on my backyard, front yard and driveway. I highly recommend them! Thanks System Pavers! -John read more

System Pavers exceeded my expectations! I saw the System Pavers advertisement on my computer and the photos of their finished jobs on the website piqued my interest. I had been thinking about landscaping my yard but kept putting it off because it sounded like too much work. This time, I jumped in and made the call. Kelly Kasper, the Design Consultant, was out in a day or two. He listened to my ideas and drew up a plan with my complete "wish list," but also, one that was within my budget with a plan that I could add-on more components (like rocks and artificial turf) in the future. I chose to do the pavers only at this time and I do not have any regrets. The cost was reasonable, there were no hidden costs or surprises, and they did all the work so it was very easy and stress-free (for my part). My Project Manager was Nick Padilla. He came out and marked the project in the dirt. He had even more intricate ideas that made my large walkway paver-project even more gorgeous than I could have imagined. Nick was very responsive to my questions along the way and came to the job often to make sure everything was perfect. The project was completed quickly, the craftmanship was masterful and the finished project was art in stone! I am thrilled with the finished project and love when my neighbors slow down in front of my house to look at my beautiful new pavers. I highly recommend System Pavers for high-quality paver installation. I am very happy with all aspects of the job, and you will be too. read more

We had our yard renovated a couple of years ago by a different company. We've had many issues~ water pooling instead of draining when it rained, there were lots of cracks between the pavers and the walkway they put in the front yard was coming apart and could be a hazard to anyone walking on it. We decided to try System Pavers. Anthony was our sales guy. He listened to our issues and came up with a way to fix the problem areas. We also had new work we wanted done ~ we asked them to remove a deck and create a patio, put pathways around our shed and removed the walkway in the front yard replacing it with proper steps. He gave us a few options, and help us design something we could enjoy. Adrian was our project manager ~ he was in constant contact from start to end, making sure we were happy with the work, did we have any questions or concerns (we didn't). He came by almost every day to see how the work was going. He went out of his way to look for pavers to match what we currently had (which he did!). The crew were professional and reliable, they showed up on time every day and even worked in the rain. They were able to lift up the existing pavers and reset them. They created a large landing and step on one side of the house with the new patio. The steps they created in the front are perfect, nicely spaced and safe. We love the new walkways around the shed. If you want a job well done, at a fair price with awesome customer service, then call System Pavers! read more

I recently contacted System Pavers regarding a maintenance issue with a walkway they installed in 2011, approximately 12 years ago. We had observed that the pavers had become uneven, with some sinking more than others, resulting in water pooling along the foundation of our house whenever it rained. Knowing their familiarity with the original installation, I requested their assistance in resetting the sunken pavers and adjusting the walkway's slope to prevent water accumulation near the foundation. Additionally, I inquired about their availability and any potential costs associated with the necessary maintenance work. To my surprise, shortly after sending the email, I received a prompt phone call from Adrian, one of their project managers. He visited our house on the same day and informed me that they would be able to perform the required job completely free of charge. Within just a couple of days, their skilled crew arrived on-site, removed the entire walkway, re-sloped the grade, and replaced the pavers, resulting in a walkway that looked as good as new. I was truly impressed by the exceptional work carried out by the System Pavers team. Not only did they promptly address the issue, but they also completed the entire project in just one day. The outcome exceeded my expectations, and I am grateful for their remarkable service. Kudos to the amazing crew at System Pavers for their outstanding workmanship! read more

I'd like to acknowledge the exceptional work provided by System Pavers for the new artificial turf installed in my backyard. First, I'd like to thank Kelly Kasper, sales consultant. Kelly did a great job explaining the artificial turf installation process, turf type options, costs and financing. He also suggested that it would be possible to integrate my existing paver area to the left of the new lawn installation to tie it all together. Secondly, I'd like to acknowledge the project manager, Ryan and his construction lead Jose. The demolition, ground prep and installation of the new turf went very well. They kept me informed daily and let me know if any issues had come up. One example was what to do with the existing sprinkler system. I had two options which was to cap all of the water lines or keep one or two open for a drip system along the peripheral of the backyard. Initially, I wasn't sure which option was best and landed on keeping two. During the final turf installation a nail cracked the PVC water line. Both Ryan and Jose responded promptly to fix the issue and test both lines to ensure it was fixed. In summary, I am extremely happy with the results and the great customer service provided by all of the team members assigned to my project. They are professional, knowledgeable, hardworking and very customer focused. The new turf, border and realigned pavers look great! Thanks, Steve read more

We were having trouble navigating our garbage & recycling bins through one side of the house, so we contacted several vendors, including System Pavers, to (initially) have a concrete path installed. Turns out that they only do paving stones (aka "pavers"). We weren't ready for a pretty 'expensive' project -- but after our own research, some knowledge imparted on us by Robert Frost (their designer, unsure of any relation to the late American poet), and careful consideration, we decided to go for it. And they did not disappoint! Did you know that pavers are 4x stronger than concrete? Very hard to break or damage! Aaand it matches the rest of our driveway! VERY impressed with how this project was handled from beginning to end. Once we got the green light from our HOA, Project Manager Jeremy Durfee took it from there. He handled this project with professionalism, respect for our property & family, and communicated with us from beginning to end. Whenever we had concerns, he was also super responsive which we appreciated very much. No regrets. Considering the quality of their work + 25 yr warranty, it was well worth it. After everything was said and done, their Client Relations Coordinator Morgan Gace also reached out to ask about our experience. Love businesses that, inspite of several projects being handled at the same time, make you feel heard & valued. Happy to recommend this place! read more

We just had System Pavers complete our patio project and are very happy with both the results and their process. We had them convert our back lawn into a water-saving patio five years ago. Their work has held up very well, unlike our previous efforts which turned into gopher warrens. When we decided to complete the design by replacing our old cracked and bent concrete patio with an extension of our converted lawn, we again called on System Pavers. Not only were they quick to respond to our inquiry, Beth, who designed the first project, came out again to help us come up with a design that integrated the entire yard. They were able to get started on the construction quickly and efficiently. They broke up and removed the old concrete (all with hand tools and wheelbarrows since they didn't have sufficient side yard clearance to get bigger equipment in) and hauled it away in a single day. They then needed a day to dig out the various roots that had grown under the concrete and prepare the bed followed by three days to complete the job. Kudos to the project manager, Jeremy, who stayed in close contact throughout the project and worked with us on a few small changes that we wanted to make. Bottom line, we are extremely happy with the final product and look forward to an even nicer backyard and entertainment space that we had before. We can't recommend them enough. read more

We recently worked with System Pavers, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish! To begin with, we had Mark as our designer, and he was absolutely wonderful. Both Matt and I truly appreciated his honesty and thoughtful recommendations. He met with us multiple times to ensure we could see our selected colors in person and visualize how everything would come together. His attention to detail and dedication made the entire design process enjoyable and stress-free. Oscar, our project manager, was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and professional. He provided timely in-person updates, was always accurate with timeframes, and clearly explained how the project would come together. He kept everything on track seamlessly and even went the extra mile to help us fill in a small area with extra stones to complete the look. Alex, our foreman, was fantastic--his kindness and craftsmanship were truly impressive. His attention to detail was impeccable, and he and his team showed up every day ready to work hard. It was clear that he fully understood the project, and together with Milton and Nahun, they worked efficiently and with great precision. We are beyond thrilled with the results! I would definitely recommend System Pavers to anyone looking for high-quality work and outstanding service. We will absolutely be utilizing their expertise again in the future! read more

9 years ago, I did a beautiful backyard remodel with System Pavers complete with a new retaining wall, patio pavers and turf. The finished product looked fantastic and my overall experience with the company was very positive. Recently, I contacted Project Manager Oscar Maciel about the retaining wall needing repair. When Oscar came out to look at the wall, he pointed out that there were couple of places where the pavers and the turf also needed to be fixed. Oscar did a fantastic job of overseeing the entire project, which turned out to be a much bigger undertaking than we had anticipated. Oscar is extremely professional, personable, and trustworthy! He worked so hard on my behalf to ensure that all of the repairs were completed in a timely and highly professional manner and did a great job of making sure that I was kept informed at every step of the process. The project foreman and his team of highly skilled craftsmen did an amazing job of making the backyard remodel look brand new again. And it is especially noteworthy that System Pavers did all of this repair work and covered all of the labor at absolutely no expense to me. This is a highly reputable company and my most recent experience with them has only reminded me what a smart investment it was to go with System Pavers. I look forward to working with Oscar and his team on my next project. read more

We originally used System Pavers to transform our driveway 19 years ago. They did fantastic work that drastically increased our curb appeal and the value of our home. We called them back recently to help us repair several stones that PG&E damaged when they dug a massive trench to increase the power to our house during a major remodel. They were very responsive and professional. Adrian O'Donoghue came out to provide the quote and he was fantastic. He advised on resetting the stones as well as professionally cleaning the stones, replacing the sand and sealing. I got a prompt written quote at a very reasonable price. He communicated clearly and honestly throughout the project, which only took a few days to complete once they started. After the damaged stones were reset I could not tell that there was any damage. Once the entire driveway was cleaned, sand replaced and sealed my driveway looked exactly like it did during the initial installation nearly 20 years ago. The workers were courteous, communicative and respected my property. These days its hard to find professional, personalized service from a contractor who won't try to gouge you. System Pavers stands out for high quality products, superior workmanship and phenomenal customer service. If you have a paving project, give this company a try. You will not be disappointed! read more

I contacted System Pavers to get a quote on laying a patio and installing turf in my backyard. Our backyard started out as a small dirt lot and was transformed into a beautiful patio. Lidiana came over to our home and walked us through the design process. She was able to take measurements of our backyard and input them into her design software. We looked through the options for pavers and within minutes she had a detailed design of our backyard with 3D flyovers. We decided on our design and got the project started. We were able to get discounts due to a holiday sale and having them start asap. Within 2 weeks our backyard was completely transformed. Jeff was assigned as our project manager and lead us through every step of the build. He was frequently updating us on when the workers would be at our house and when deliveries were scheduled. The process went very smooth! When the project was done the workers cleaned up the driveway where we had deliveries. They also bagged up some extra rock that we ordered to use in the front yard and stored it on the side of our house. They went above and beyond! I would recommend System Pavers to anyone looking to transform an outdoor space in their home. They are a little pricey but you pay for the warranty and smooth installation process. It was worth every penny! read more
