I'd been wanting to get rid of the pool for years but I've never been comfortable with big home projects, so I kept putting this off. I got multiple bids but went with Pablo because his price was not only very competitive but he also put me at ease from the start and throughout the project. He and his helper showed up practically every day and worked eight or nine hours at a time, even through the July and August heat when it was over 100 degrees. They just kept at it until it was done. They were considerate and careful during the demolition and trees removal so I'd no issues with my neighbors. My 90-something year old neighbor said she barely heard any noise lol. They always asked before doing anything, and when I was on my work trip, Pablo would text me photos so I could see the progress. He also let me know when inspections were coming. Wish I had known about this company years ago so I could have gotten rid of my pool sooner.

Here's why I changed my mind: 1. They're competitively priced. Every time I've asked them to do work for me, they've been significantly lower than other quotes/estimates. At first I thought there must be a catch. But as I vetted them, I concluded that they were legit--they're just a relatively new company and they have a lean operation, so they're willing and able to cut good deals for their customers. 2. I like them and trust them. They're easy to talk with and work with. I was leery about loud demolition noises waking up my family, and they accommodated me. They've gone above and beyond to help me see what different options could look like (e.g., they invited me to see a nearby pool removal they were doing, they lent me samples of artificial turf when I told them I was interested in artificial turf, they helped me decide on the turf that would look nicest, and they didn't charge me extra for it). They didn't make big decisions or changes without talking with me. They've been reliable, hardworking, and transparent. 3. I like their work. They want to do a good job, not just check a box, and they're not out to cheat or gouge me on pricing. See the before and after photos to get a feel for their work! I had wanted to remove my pool to get rid of the safety hazard for my kids. And Legacy Demolition did that. I'm going to have to pay for somebody to come fix my fence now. Also they made a terrible mess we had rocks in between our two driveways they had mud everywhere then they went and put some rocks back that were completely white when we had gray rocks to start off with. I don't like the way Dan does business. I called regarding an electrical issue in my garage. The…read morelight switch worked at one time and then it did not. Dan sent his electrician to come check it out and after about 30 mins, the electrician said it was a short and would not have time to fix it since it may take 3 to 4 hours. Understandable, I thanked him and off he went until we can schedule another appt. A week or so later, Dan emailed me asking for payment. I kindly explained to him that no work was done but we needed to schedule another appt once we buy a light for the electrician to install once he fixes the short. He said his electrician was at my house for the minimum 2 hr visit and sent me a bill for $175. I told Dan he was at my house for 30 minutes and I tried to fight it but he kept sending me bill emails and his one liner emails were irritating me. So finally I just paid the damn thing. I didn't reschedule for them to come back and actually do work. We just called another electrician and they came by and fixed the switch within 30 minutes!!!!!! Since we paid by the hour our new electrician even replaced our light fixtures to get our $ worth for the full hour. Hence I paid Dan $175 to do nothing. I have little things around the house that can use a handyman but i will not be calling this company back.

We had used some other services that we found on C.L. in the past and had some very bad experiences; I guess anyone can call themselves a handyman and charge you to tinker around in the garage while muttering and trying to look busy.
