I had an urgent need to have wood construction debris removed from the side of my house. I had…read morescheduled appointments with two more well known residential companies then I saw Alameda Junk Collectors. I know these type of companies don't typically provide quotes until they actually see the load to haul away but I was looking for ballpark costs. I had told the first two companies I estimated what I had could probably fill their truck. I made appointments with both companies for the same appointment window - I figured I'd set the stage for some competitive bidding. In the meantime I called Alameda Junk Collectors and left a voicemail. Mark responded same day via text in the evening. Via text I indicated the debris was for an area of roughly 10' x 20'. Based off of that Mark provided a quote that was arguably HALF of what I was quoted by one of the other companies. We setup an appointment for 11am two days later and I canceled the other appointments. Mark and his helper Nat were at my house at 10:45 ready to go! Mark looked at the debris indicating the quote was still good. He and Nat meticulously loaded the haul so they could maximize the space for another job after mine. Once the truck was loaded they cleaned the area where the debris was piled up. The complete job from start to finish took just under two hours time. I am one highly satisfied customer who will happily use these folks for any future needs. If you want prompt and courteous service give Mark a call!

My parents and I plan to recommend him to our friends and family, as well.

The first step was demolition and we were DELIGHTED to work with Golden State Demo & Hauling owned by Jessica Govea to remove our garage and decaying deck, concrete patio & driveway. Jessica was super friendly and responsive via text and email from our first interaction onward. The crew were friendly and efficient. They did an amazing job and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. I make it a priority to hire women-owned and operated businesses whenever I can; Jessica and her company were exactly the type of company I appreciate collaborating with. 10/10 would recommend their services.

Time, moisture, and spiders had rusted the machine into a 900 pound hunk of tetanus and decay, and a lot of the movers I contacted wanted outrageous prices even to try to pick it up. The bolts were stripped and the wheels were cracked, so the machine couldn't be rolled or broken down - only sheer force could drag it out of its garagey lair. Mauricio quoted me a price LESS THAN HALF of the closest competitor, showed up bang of time, and, with only one guy helping him, lifted the machine like it was made of paper. He had it down the driveway and into his truck in less than ten minutes, and this is the very same machine that took three guys almost an hour to untruck and schlep into the garage in the first place. It was amazing - if you told me that Mauricio's hobby is running marathons with a piano strapped to his back, I'd believe you. One last note. Having dealt with a lot of sketchy moving men in the past - guys just out of jail with gang tattoos on their face, guys obviously on meth, and one guy who saw my cat and told me he used to eat cats back in Cambodia - I can't tell you how relieved I was to meet Mauricio. He's such a friendly, professional dude, and as reliable as it gets. I will definitely contact him first for any hauling jobs from now on. If you need a hauler, snap him up now before the rest of Yelp gets wind of him!
