These folks are so great. Clear, friendly, easy to arrange, and very helpful. I would absolutely recommend them and would use them again. They came as soon as they could and removed a big, heavy stove without a hitch. Their price was very fair. Thank you to Kevin and the crew! read more

I've used American Hauling twice so far, in different cities, and they are now my go-too service for hauling and clean-up! Amazing communication and great service from start to finish. very affordable pricing compared to other services I've used. Highly recommend! read more

These guys are the best hauling guys in the area. Showed up on time, were extremely professional, took care with everything they hauled away and even managed an extremely difficult sectional piece. Very happy second time customer. read more

I was so late due to the traffics, and they just waited me there. What a dedicated team! Their price is fair, and they got the job done fast and professionally. Highly recommended! read more

Kevin and his crew have been one of my go-to subcontractors for at least ten years now. These folks are true professionals, whether it be hauling, demolition, or offloading heavy loads of delivered building materials. They are always on-time, superful careful, competant, dependable workers but they are also just great people who go out of their way to help and do things right. Today i had a truckload of 1500 pounds of custom made doors show up at a job site. Kevin fit me into their schedule, sent over his crew and they broke open the giant palettes and unpacked the doors and carried them into the job site. There wasnt a scratch on any door and no damage at all to the job site. They always leave my job sites clean. Prices are incredibly fair; Kevin is totally honest , with the highest level of integrity. What these folks do is hard work and not glamorous but they take it seriously and always do it right. It makes a huge difference on a job site. read more

Great experience helping me clean up and dispose of tons of accumulated stuff including an old elliptical trainer.

They were quick to respond. Communications were great. Did a great job hauling away a lot of wood from various backyard projects. Very reasonable price. Kevin is great. Crew was great read more

I've hired someone to help me clear the clutter out of my place and reorganize. Of course, at a certain point, I needed the clutter removed, so I shopped around asking local hauling services for their rate. I also provided pictures. Kevin was great. He responded right away, which I didn't necessarily expect as it was the weekend. I got a fair quote for both credit and cash with a small discount for cash as you're avoiding the credit card processing fees. I didn't receive a fair quote from a couple of other services I reached out to. That stuck with me because I want to pay for the service, but I also don't want to get ripped off. Someone came by from American Hauling that Monday morning and took the boxes and bags of junk away. They'll be a part two to this, so now I know who to call when it's time for part two. read more

STILL GREAT SERVICE! My first review of Kevin was 2009...so you know that I trust and value his service. We clipped ginormous branches off 3 trees and left them in the yard. His crew of three showed up earlier than the scheduled window (after a phone call letting me know they'd be able to) and efficiently got it all out. A big bonus for me is that he takes all forms of payment - including American Express, which I appreciate for the points. Don't hesitate to contact Kevin! read more

American Hauling - Maybe the girls weren't happy that Kevin came and hauled away the branches. It was their play fort... - Junk Removal & Hauling Near Me - Oakland, California

Wow - these guys just left my place and did an excellent job! Overall - fast response to initial email. Prices better than I found elsewhere. They told me when they'd be here and they showed up on time. Friendly guys who worked fast and they even swept up afterwards. HIGHLY recommended. read more

Very satisfied with the demolition work done by American Hauling! We were quoted by other companies by almost double the amount. The team communicated well throughout the job, arrived in a timely manner, cleaned up the place, even pulled out the electrical wiring, and overall finished the job in under 4 hours. Highly recommend! read more

I was looking to dispose of an old couch and some other bulky spring cleaning items and discovered American Hauling on Yelp. I was impressed with all of their positive reviews on Yelp, and now I'm one of them. American Hauling was very professional and friendly. They came in and quickly wished away my items at a reasonable cost. I'll definitely will be contacting them again for my fall cleaning and have already recommended them to one of my neighbors. My roommates and I were clearing out of our apartment and needed to get rid of a bunch of furniture left by previous tenants. American Hauling promptly gave us a quote that was quite reasonable. Very reasonable price, timely and professional. I received an estimate within a half hour and they informed me that I could add more items which would be included in their basic rate. The haulers were professional and wore masks. They even swept up the debris and made sure everything was clean. I will definitely use them again! read more

I used these guys 8 years ago when we were doing a DIY bathroom remodel and they were the first ones I thought of calling when we were doing another home remodel and needed our demo hauled away. I recently moved and had piles of broken down cardboard boxes and bags (and bags!) of crumbled paper from inside all of the boxes that I needed picked up and disposed of. Kevin worked with me on an estimate and setting up a time, they called me when en route, and arrived during the promised time. Everything was picked up and gone within 15 mins. Very satisfied, and would definitely recommend and use them again! read more

Kevin and his company provided excellent service. Kevin first came by to look at the amount to be hauled and explained perfectly how the process would move forward. I would definitely recommend American Hauling to friends. read more

Kevin here was flexible, reasonably-priced and right on time. Some other haulers didn't return my calls. I kept changing things on them, and Kevin was available for calls and emails on short notice. His crew even swept the floor after they picked up the junk! read more

This is a very late review of the great work that Kevin and his team did to clean out my late brother's condo in Alameda. I was totally off on my estimate of how much junk there was to remove. Upon arriving on site Kevin immediately assessed the work to be done and then got more equipment and crew to work. Everything was cleaned out and removed in an extremely organized and efficient manner. I would highly recommend American Hauling! Very professional company that will get your job done in a timely and cost effective way. read more

My husband and I have used their services numerous times. We lost our backyard and wood shop a few years ago to a fire, Kevin had his crew here quickly and they cleared out debris in a day. Since then we have been renovating our home and have used American Hauling multiple times. Kevin is always quick to give a quote and the crew are always super fast. They have been incredibly respectful of our space during covid as well, which is of course a relief. We will definitely continue to use their services. read more

When it comes to war, the creme de la creme is the US Marine Corps. On land, air or sea, they have a reputation as the fiercest fighting force around. Admiral Nimitz (US Navy) saw the marines in Iwo Jima and quoted, "uncommon valor is a common virtue." General Pershing (US Army) quotes, "The deadliest weapon in the world is a Marine and his rifle." Well, when it comes to hauling junk.... Kevin is "THE MAN!" You can quote me on that too. No matter how big or small the job may be... Kevin and his 18 foot dumpster truck will handle it. AND, he will do it for the lowest price around. The money I saved by calling Kevin during the remodel of my house is unfathomable. It took him 2 trips (in his 18 foot dumpster truck) and 2 trips for his buddy (the metal collector) to haul away the enormous amount of junk from the house. I paid waste management double (what I paid Kevin) to rent a single 14 foot dumpster (that smelled like crap and stunk up the entire neighborhood) for a week. He's fast, efficient, friendly, and will save you BIG BUCKS! read more

Awesome service and a great company! I needed some old furniture removed as soon as possible so I called on a Monday afternoon and left a message. Kevin returned my call almost immediately and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday afternoon. Kevin and his team showed up on time (early in fact) and worked very quickly. He was easy to reach and willing to work with me and my schedule, and his rates were very reasonable. 100% satisfied and would definitely hire them again! Update: we used American Hauling again to remove some old junk and furniture and they again delivered amazing customer service for a great price. What an awesome business! read more

I found Kevin of American Hauling on (gasp) Yelp. His location was closest to my address. We were remodeling the kitchen and had a lot of junk, including old cabinets, countertops, sinks, and a 100 gallon fish tank that nobody wanted, even for free. We wanted to be done in one day. So with the new cabinet installers still working, I called Kevin. Within 30 minutes, he was at my building with his colleague. 30 more minutes and they were gone. With all my junk! 3 things to say about American Hauling: * Accommodating * Punctual * Efficient * Reasonably Priced Wait, that's 4 things. I will definitely recommend Kevin to anyone! read more

I sent a Yelp message at 11:45am and got a return message within 5 minutes! Called and spoke about my needs and was told he could get me taken care of same day! By 1:15 my stuff was hauled off! 90 minutes from first message to job done! Are you kidding me! If this is not exceptional service then I don't know what is! I will use again for sure, as well as recommend to everyone I know! Great Job! read more

I called and emailed literally every single hauling company in a 10 mile radius from my home to get my pile of packaging materials removed. American Hauling replied INSTANTLY, provided a very competitive quote and the very next day they came by EARLY, being super nice and professional. Not a single one of the other companies every replied to my many emails, voice mails and texts, so trust me when I say: don't bother calling anybody else, it will be a waste of time. Just email American Hauling. read more

I had a sad old couch that was not fit for donating so went looking for a hauler to take it away. After looking through YELP, I gave a couple of companies a call and Kevin at American Hauling had the most reasonable rates. Not only are his rates reasonable, but he was super-fast in returning my call and was able to fit in my very small job within 24 hours. I also appreciated that he gave a very clear one hour window of when to expect them and called when they were on their way. They arrived and within 10min it was done....goodbye side-splitting couch that keep spewing down feathers across my living room. A+ for reasonable rates, good communication, efficient and reliable. read more

Not a single reason to complain. They made an appointment a mere four days ahead of time .... and provided a one-hour window, from 2-3 p.m. (Super! no need to wait around all day). Then, the morning of the pickup, they confirmed by phone, as well as email. Then, about a half hour before arriving, they called with an update: Would it be OK if they arrived at the front end of the window - ie. 2 p.m. OF COURSE. (I must admit, in the back of mind, I was a tiny bit nervous about a hauler blowing off the job, and leaving us in a bind, with a mountainous heap of trash on our driveway) Upon making the reservation, we were given an estimate of $150 if our trash would fit in the approximate size of one pickup truck. Our pile of junk on our driveway turned out to be huge, so I was somewhat trepidatious that the cost was going to zoom. The team leader looked over our pile, assessed it for a minute or two, and then offered the price of $250. To me, that was exceedingly fair, and I gave my approval to proceed. The job was professionally and quickly completed by the three-man crew. One small clay statue broke on the sidewalk, and there was a lot of debris of our own on the driveway (which I figured I would be cleaning up). But the crew swept up everything and left the driveway/sidewalk cleaner than it was before I started piling up junk on it. I think it took them only 15-20 minutes to complete the entire job. We paid by check and that was that (they also take credit cards). Kudos to this company and the work crew who attended to us. I will be a repeat customer as necessary, and next time won't have to waste time calling Got Junk and asking about their prices (higher). read more

Got junk? Call Kevin. Enough said. Ok, not really. I called Kevin on a Friday evening asking if he could dispose of my old mattress. 30 minutes later he was at my apartment and my mattress was gone. He charged me half of what he usually charges because I only had one item. I would rather pay someone to haul my old mattress than deal with people shady people on Craigslist. True story. read more

I am currently clearing out the family home in Alameda with over 60 years of accumulated stuff, including my Dad's workshop with boxes and boxes of old handtools, miscellaneous hardware, fittings, wood, pipe, and more. I phoned Kevin because of all the glowing reviews on Yelp and he and his crew showed up on time, ready to go to work. Not only did they just haul stuff out to their large accommodating truck, but they broke down several large items of furniture that I was sure would not fit out the doors. I pointed and they made it all disappear. Then Kevin swept up afterwards. The price was extremely reasonable, and more than fair for the service they provided. I would definitely phone Kevin again and am going to recommend him to my real estate agent and anyone else who needs a hauler. I should also add, Kevin is a very nice gentleman and willing to go the extra mile with a smile on his face. Highly recommended. read more
