I had a demo done in my home with the remodeling of my living and dining room. Within an hour he was at my home and all of the material was picked up. Unreliable and dishonest. I've been using Castro's Hauling for 2 maybe 3 years. I've never had an issue until today 6/3/2023. I ended up calling Alex Friday to schedule a pick up for the next day at 6pm but was told by Alex that that time was too late and he could come Saturday at 4:00pm/4:30pm. The appointment was confirmed. We agreed and I called the next day to make sure they were on his way. I called at 4:04pm he said he could not come until 5/6pm, which was my original time but I understood. When we hung up it was understanding Alex was still coming. Alex called me back at 4:15pm but I was not by my phone. I ended up looking at my phone 5 mins to 5:00pm to see a text saying from Alex saying he had someone he knew pass away and they closed up shop for the day. He said he would call his partner but said the other person did not answer. As understanding as I am all my things were outside already and my landlord was present and threatening me with a large fine if the trash pile was not gone by the end of the day. If I had known they could not come I would have made other arrangements or gathered the trash the next day. It was too much and too late to put all the stuff back in my apartment. I called twice but was ignored and then Alex text me instead of just answering the phone to make other arrangements. He offered a pick up of Saturday 11pm or midnight but said it would most likely be a 1AM pick up which did not work for me as I have 2 kids under 5 and we have an early morning ahead of us. Alex offered to come pick the trash up at 1AM and then offered a 6am pick up. I don't like flaky business or last minute cancellations. The alternative that was offered was highly unprofessional and slightly suspicious. I did not feel comfortable with a 1AM pick up. I will not be using them anymore and suggest others find an alternative or take the trash to the dump yourself. read more

Unreliable. No follow up. Ghosted. After confirming our dumpster drop off, Alex did not show up to drop it off. I called him after 30 minutes to check on it and he told me that he was "out of town" and he would "call the driver". After a few minutes, I texted him. No reply. I tried to call again and it went to voicemail. Tried to call a second time and it didn't even ring, just went to voicemail. We emailed with no response. Alex was courteous, professional and arrived on time actually within less than an hour of when I initially inquired. He and one other person were able to clear out our huge pile of clutter from the side of our house which included everything from large furniture, appliances, yard waste, a slide, and miscellaneous junk, all in just a little over an hour. We called them several times and they said they would call back and answer the email but they never did. Don't give people your business card if you're going to display poor business habits. We ended up calling Heavenly Hauling and they were on it. We got a quote within the day and just a few days later our yard is nice and clean. These guys are amazing! We had a super old sofa sleeper that needed to be removed down stairs and around some tight corners. They took apart the bed and removed the couch piece by piece. Communicate what you need before they get there and they can tackle almost any problem. We had some time to pick their brains while they were taking the couch apart and they really love problem solving. These guys are super professional and very fair priced. I even left them a tip because I was so grateful for the work they did. Would definitely recommend them to anyone! PS...
