Fully recommended A+++. Leave your pool removal to Souza & sons. They did an amazing job and fast too. I couldn't believe how much they can have done in one day let alone 7 days with complete clean-up after the fact. They protected my property well along the process as I was worried about my pavers and trex deck. Gustavo handled all my concerns while Guilherme did a lot of the work with the heavy machinery and did any fixing that needed to be done after the fact. I am glad I hired them and left the pool removal to them. Thank you so much!!! read more

My neighbor hired them to fill in their pool and maybe do some other work so they had to remove her gate in that process they completely messed up my gate and part of the fence when they left and put her gate back on they put her gate all wrong she cannot open her gate and now I cannot open my gate I have called them numerous times and left messages and they refuse to call me back they're terrible. I'm going to have to pay for somebody to come fix my fence now. Also they made a terrible mess we had rocks in between our two driveways they had mud everywhere then they went and put some rocks back that were completely white when we had gray rocks to start off with. This is a terrible company they don't even care what mess they leave behind. read more

Recently hired Souza and Sons and would highly recommend them! Thiago is very 'hands on' and everyone was very friendly and professional. We were given options for our job, and everything was in budget, and exactly what we were quoted. So happy with the result. Will definitely reach out when we are ready for our next project, but for now, we are just enjoying the beautiful yard they created! read more

First and foremost, Thiago and Souza & Sons company were beyond amazing! We were helping a friend out to cleanup their backyard as a community and were under a donation budget from friends and family. The communication was simply amazing and instant! We described our scope of work, Thiago literally came by an hour after we submitted our request & gave us a bid, which was a little higher than the funds we had, but they met our price to help our friend in need. This project was near and dear to all of us to support our friend and her family. Thiago, Souza & Sons came through in a major way. The demo, removal and cleanup was perfect. Thank you, we will be using your company for other projects. read more

They are doing a complete demo and rebuilding of our road in Atascadero as I write this. Of course the activity and noise is annoying they appear to be trying to get it done as quickly and pain free as possible. I appreciate that they always do a temporary fix so we can get our car out at days end and they are doing their best to keep the dust at bay with multiple water sprinkler truck runs. I recently hired Thiago for a hardscaping project in my backyard, and I am happy with the results. From the initial consultation to the final touches, the entire process was seamless. The quality of the work is good, the materials used are durable and beautifully installed. My outdoor space has transformed into a stunning area for relaxation and entertainment. Communication was not so great, but the project was completed on time and within budget. 2 months after, there was some minor issues with our pavers and retaining wall, however they responded and fixed everything quickly. Overall, I highly recommend Souza & Sons for any hardscaping needs. read more

I'm glad to see you are responding here so the small claims court can see you are intentionally avoiding our calls for these past months. Btw these pics were taken today to show how you are lying! As mentioned above about honesty, you just proved that point by lying about your "project managers" and things are good. Let the pictures speak for themselves recently taken. The water is leaking and water level is dropping at a daily alarming rate. The quality of workmanship on the pavers? See what happened in 3 months!! If you want to lie again, I'm happy to record videos and post screenshots. Lying is only going to do more harm than good. read more

Wow! What an amazing service provider! We had a giant Oak Tree fall in the latest storm. I had heard about Thiago and his team from a friend who has used him for demolition and and pavers. He said that this guy can mobilize quick. He not only got a crew in 24 hours for a 4 day job cutting up a giant Oak and hand carrying tons of wood up a steep hill, but then had another set of guys who rebuilt my broken fence and did an expert job. He left the job site clean and organized and everyone was extremely friendly. What's more, after the entire project was done a tree company finally got back to me. When I told them how much I paid, they wanted me to refer his company to them as a subcontractor. I would wholeheartedly recommend Souza and Sons. read more

We hired Thiago and his team at Souza & Sons to complete a partial demo of our 40 year old pool. They were very professional, easy to communicate with, and flexible with pricing. As an added bonus, on top of offering paving, demolition and excavation services, they also do artificial turf installation - so we not only got them to fill our old pool but we also hired them to install brand new turf on top, finishing out our backyard rehaul. I would definitely recommend hiring Thiago and his team. read more

Souza & Sons replaced our steep concrete driveway with a new paver driveway. Thiago supervised the project and the whole team was responsive & hardworking. The paver team was nothing short of artists laying the pavers with professional expertise. All of the small challenges with unexpected LV wiring & irrigation pipes was taken care of without hesitation. The project was completed ahead of schedule and we now have a gorgeous new driveway. Many thanks to Thiago and team. (Fyi, we received 5 bids for our driveway, watch-out for large companies with sales teams who overprice based on your zip code) read more

Souza and Sons are amazing. I had a small pool I wanted removed and a new paver patio installed and wall built. Thiago and Gustavo as team leaders were wonderful and incredibly responsive. This is a family business from Brazil. There were different teams of guys sent for each phase of the project, each with their skill set. Guys showed up each and every day, on time and stayed the full day and sometimes longer. The teams were careful with my house and meticulous in their work. If I had a question or wanted something small done, the next day they were on it. Their price was reasonable and less than other quotes I received. I was so impressed by this team that I will have them do my driveway and front path later this year. I simply cannot recommend them enough! Wow. read more

Just finished a pool demolition project with Souza and Sons. They were by far the most responsive and competitive bid I received. They executed the work in a very timely manner, and I am very pleased with the final product. A couple small glitches with communication but Thiago and the office are very responsive. Souza & son filled in our large pool. Their price seemed reasonable and was documented. I felt that they did a good job breaking up the pool. However, they were not at all careful with the rest of the job. Initially, Thiago indicated that they would take steps to limit damage to the lawn and other areas in the yard. We received permission to use the neighbor's drive to bring in equipment and dirt. Initially, the workers were very careful as they moved the equipment through the yard, but that did not last. Rather then picking up mowing strips, walkway concrete steps, etc. they just ran over and buried them. As they continued to literally rush, they were not careful of brick raised planter areas and damaged several. As they rushed moving in fill dirt they left major ruts across the yard and was left literally as hard as a road. The equipment damaged the neighbor's drive, and they indicated that they told me that would happen. We did come up with a mutual agreement that the rushing with the equipment contributed to the damage, and I paid very reasonable additional cost to repair the damage. ( They did a good job and my neighbor was happy.) There were some communication problems with the workers. I told them that I wanted to try to sell the pool equipment, since with was fairly new and expensive. They hauled it away, and when most of it was returned it had been damaged. Recommend that you clarify the fill dirt to be used. The dirt that they used was so full of rocks that it was extremely difficult to get a rototiller or pick through the dirt, some rocks were larger than softballs. read more

We had a pool that was often leaking even after repairs. After a couple of patching, we decided to completely get rid of it when it again started leaking for the 3rd time in 1.5 years. They were very considerte and did a good and fast job. My property was left in better sahpe than they found it.

Our pool was built in 1994, and did not age gracefully. We were spending a fortune on chlorine, and the concrete all around the pool had cracked to the point we would have had to replace the decorative concrete all around the pool. So we decided to rip it out completely and backfill. The next question was...who will we hire? Based on good yelp* reviews, we decided to call Souza. Thiago visited our residence and walked the back yard with us while we discussed what we needed done. Thiago gave us a verbal budget quote on the spot and followed up in writing later. We took other quotes, but based on the site visit we felt Souza would give us the best job. We were given 2 options, partial removal and full removal. We picked full removal. The job took about a week from start to finish. This was over one of the hottest weeks in Antioch this year...and the Souza crew hung in there and worked full days--running wide open, too. So we knew from that straightaway that Thiago's crew was totally dedicated. So now here we are, a week after the job was finished. Based on the high level of customer service we received, we recommend Souza & Sons. We also have to give a shout-out to Carla, who helped us get all of the paperwork and permits squared away. Great job all around from Souza & Sons. read more

A quality company that follows up on inquiries. I could not use them but I will keep them at the top of the list for a future project.

Souza & Sons helped us with our backyard - removing old concrete and grass and replacing with mulch and rock garden. We reached out to multiple companies and Souza really stood out. Thiego was super responsive and came out to our house the next day to discuss our vision. He was thorough in providing a detailed quote and contract. He was also a great thought partner as we finalized our ideas. They were flexible with our scheduling and got the work done quickly and high quality. Crew was on time, kind and professional. Definitely recommend. read more

Amazing! Souza & Sons, fast, friendly and efficient. To my amazement this crew was remarkable! They were professional, dependable, hardworking crew and very accommodating to this old lady. My swimming pool has been a nightmare for the last 10 years. I've gone through so many pool service companies I lost count. I decided to remodel my pool and care for it myself, another disaster. I threw in the pool towel and decided to get quotes to have the pool filled (removed). Three quotes were extremely high and the fourth was very low, Souza & Sons. I was a bit skeptical because of the exceptionally low quote but decided to go with them, besides they have to pass an inspections anyway. They did not disappoint, the work was completed in a week. They did not leave my home until they were assured by me that job was totally completed to my satisfaction. If you are going to have any work done to your home or business you should definitely call Souza & Sons read more
