Avoid doing business with this company at All cost there was a special going on late August at $45/ hour per session, me naively thinking I was doing something for my son's education paid $2,250 cash up front for 50 hourly session. Unfortunately I went through some domestic violence issues and had to move from that area. My son stopped going mid October, 2024 to these sessions (he only attended 12 out of the 50) I wasn't able to make Abigail aware until November, 2024. In November she agreed that my refund would be about $1,700, then she sends me an email a few days later that my refund is going to be about $1,200 for "service fees" and enrollment fees. I have asked multiple times to show me the contract where it discloses that and she has not provided it to me. During that $45/hr session enrollment fees were waived because of the special going on. Abigail claimed to be the director when I met her back in September, but I just found out the real director is a lady named Daniella. Sylvan is charging me for unused sessions in November,2024 "no show no call" when I didn't schedule anything for November. The way it is set up the parents choose the dates the kids /teens come for tutoring. I ran into some trouble where my life was in danger and could not pick up the check in December so I called March 11, to see when I can pick up the check Abigail asked me to give her a mailing address, I told her I prefer to pick it up, and she would follow up with me once the check is in. She never followed back after our conversation in March, I finally emailed her my mailing address and concerns which lead me no where because she is unprofessional and a liar. I need the owner to contact me asap. I only used $540 out of $2,250 that I paid up front which is 12 out of the 50 sessions I originally purchased. Either Sylvan or Abigail is stealing about $450 from me which is uncalled for especially when she hasn't provided a contract signed by me where I agreed to "enrollment fee or service fees"
