I'm sure you all can tell that we are here to ensure you will be fully prepared for the upcoming grade level. Last week should have been a thorough, but simple review of the previous school year. If the concepts covered last week were new, then your teachers from school have failed to teach you everything you need to know for the upcoming grade. Here at Duc Dinh Center, we do exactly what we say without any gimmicks. Your curriculum is based on the TEKs from the Texas Education Agency and is taught with the best materials from both public and private schools. In essence, you will go through every relevant topic in Math, Reading, Writing, and Science or the high school subjects you are currently learning. Our SAT/ACT class is one of a kind and is the reason we have developed so many successful students on those exams. Duc Dinh Center received 6 students who scored in the 99th percentile on the PSAT/SAT, as well as 1 perfect score on the ACT. We begin preparing our students for these exams as early as 6th or 7th grade. There's no question as to why our students consistently outperform their peers. With that said, success only comes with a significant amount of work. As the person who created Duc Dinh system, I truly believe that INPUT=OUTPUT. Success is the result of integrating hard work, time, and commitment with an excellent curriculum, educators, and materials. As far as I'm concerned, our record of success has proven that we tower over our competitors. Many have tried to imitate us; however, cheap imitations simply cannot surpass the original. Throughout the course of the summer, you will be challenged to learn many new topics. More importantly, you will be challenged to endure all of the test preparations that we have put so much time and effort into preparing for you. To me, this is the Duc Dinh difference. We teach, we quiz, we test, and then we test-prep until you are ready. The formatting of our test-prep system is what distinguishes us and has brought us to where we are. As our student, you will have to push yourself through the challenge of a heavy workload and excruciating test-preparation. Sometimes, you won't see the results of what we're doing for you until a few years later. Always remember that at Duc Dinh Center, we DON'T baby-sit or waste time like at the other centers. We use every minute of our time efficiently. You are here because you want to be the 1%. We're here because we can make you the 1%. If you're planning on beating 99% of the people out there, then you must work harder than the other 99%. I treat many aspects of my life as a competition, so I've worked extremely hard to ensure that I don't lose in anything that I do. It gets tiring, but the feeling of winning is invigorating, and I love it. I got to where I am through a lot of hard work, late night studying. and proper test preparation. You shouldn't trust your straight A's too much because that only means you are doing well in comparison to the 20 or 30 kids in your class. Test preparation is so much more important because it compares you with all the students of your age throughout the State of Texas and the United States. At the same time, don't throw all your eggs into volunteering and extracurricular activities. If you don't make it through the GPA, class rank, and test scores stage of college admissions, no one will think twice about all your volunteering events and activities. Numbers always come first! If you refuse to stay up all night to study, then something isn't right. If you're not tired from studying all the time, then something isn't right. If you study the same way everyone else studies and put out the same amount of effort, you will not perform at the top of your class. You have to dedicate more time than everyone else in order to rise above them. It's not easy getting to the top, but it's certainly possible if you use the appropriate time and effort. There are so many scholarships and programs available to those who do well in school. My friends and I have always said, "If you're smart, you have options. If you're not, you take what's given." The services Duc and his team provides have been proven helpful to me. While the methods do not work for everyone, I'd like to share my experience. A lot of people do not understand how much Duc cares about his students. From my point of view, he is misunderstood. Many reviewers here only subscribe to the Western ideas of affection and education, and I do not blame them. It's America, and we all learn to adapt to this country's culture to survive. This man however, is like a Vietnamese parent that expresses the love they know best. Through discipline and trial, do we learn to build our character to become successful individuals. The tutors there will always be competent. It just depends on whether on us reviewers. But for Duc himself, I'd say he is a different story. Duc is a hearth for opportunity for students to seek, only if they will themselves to. If you wanted to get into a great school, he's your man. If you wanted help on your financial aid or papers regarding school, he's your man. If there's any issues at school, I have heard and seen him go to those schools and meet with staff to deal with the problem at hand. To finish off this long review, I only have a few things to add. Here at the Duc Dinh Center, everyone is working till the time they leave home to make sure every student gets the help they need in order to succeed in school. As they always said, Duc Dinh isn't a daycare, which is true because we take great pride in the opportunities that come with the success in the classrooms as well as outside the classroom. I recently graduated from Alief Taylor High School as head drum major of my school band, captain of my tennis team and heavily involved of numerous extracurriculars and volunteering organizations and am headed to Howard Univeristy Washington D.C. all the while being ranked number 3 in my class with a 4.64 GPA. Duc Dinh has shown me that hard work is heavily rewarded, and no nonsense is taken here because we all have a similar goal to be successful. We push the students to make sure that they stay on top of their work so they learn time management, how to stay focused and not to stray. I disagree with the other reviews. This place has been so good to me. I joined during the summer of going to my sophomore year learning Chemistry and Algebra II and let me tell you, if it was not for this place, I would not be where I am today. Providing class from 9-1 and tutorials from 1-7 (which they don't even close until everyone is gone), is a great opportunity that students may not begin to appreciate until they are older. Also, if you need more work, any tutor and even the owners, Anny and Duc are more than likely to give you anything that you need. Thank you for providing such a welcomed place and I hope you expand the company. I recommend this place if you are serious with providing your kid with the BEST education. As a former student who has been to this tutoring center for 2-3 years, I can say first hand that Duc Dinh is a very unprofessional man. As the past comments have stated, a former student stated that she was raped and sexually assaulted by him. Please avoid this place at all costs! I have seen him get angry with students, thrown chairs, and have personal favorites that he would treat out. I was very unhappy in this learning environment he provided. It was a scary place for a teenager. Some of the tutors can get very aggressive and hostile towards students that are falling behind. He has outbursts of anger that he is NOT afraid to hide. The tutors around him are too afraid to speak up against his unprofessional and disgusting behavior. He has stated that he knows gang members in front of students as well. My daughter attends this tutoring center, and she has shown great improvement in academic. The boss (Duc Dinh) of this center is also very kind. When he told me my child is going to improve I was hesitan, but he proved me wrong he is a man of his word! Duc Dinh is a great center. While attending I quickly learned he is a scheme artist who takes advantage of Asian parents from his reputation for their money, verbally abuses students that attend there, favored girls in a very creepy way, and is a racist.
