Supposed to receive $1000 for 20 referrals but I never received mine!!
Texas T.

The pandemic really opened my eyes about supporting local businesses. We've tried to support locally and tip more! However, there is one business that I will not be supporting: Testmasters Stafford/Sugar Land location. The program is good for preparing students for the SAT. I sent both of my kids there; and I believe it helped them, so I've been referring students to their program. Summertime is a great time to attend this prep class. After 20 referrals, I am supposed to receive a $1000 bonus. However, I have referred 26 students and have NOT received my bonus. I have called numerous times to several of their staff with NO returned calls!! I even told them I would reach out to a reporter, and I also posted an honest review, so now I am on their "blacklist". I'm normally a positive person, but I do not tolerate deceptive rewards programs!! ***If anyone has received their $1000 bonus for referring more than 20 students, please post! I would loved to be proved wrong! (I did a Google search and people have received their bonuses in the past, but I do not see any recent recipients)

Use this coupon code to save $25! It's a current code and it works!!

The college application process and landscape have changed so much since I was a college applicant,…read moreI wanted to make sure my son would be prepared for the challenge. I had colleges in mind for my son but I needed a third party who is familiar with the process and have resources to elevate him as a strong candidate. I also needed someone to coach him so that I end up not being a "nag" essentially. I felt confident after interviewing and researching several college application counseling services that Ivy Scholars was the one. What I liked about Ivy Scholars was their bespoke approach to coaching the candidate. It was one on one which I truly loved - Not some group in a conference room discussing your child and giving vague ideas of how to build your candidacy. I felt Ivy Scholars focused on the individual candidate. Meeting with Sasha was great, instant confidence. I reviewed his team and they were all very professional and very qualified. It offered candidacy building, test prep, and essay and application help. Everything I was looking for. I had a lot of trepidation about spending money (it is expensive, they all are) on college applications but I felt it would help my son. I needed help as a parent. Well, it was well worth it. Actually I would say Ivy Scholars helped my son beyond what I expected. Daniel Schriever was my son's weekly coach and counselor. He was patient, thoughtful, and really talented. He took the time to learn my son's personality - strengths and weaknesses. My son was not the most organized - typical teenage boy. He worked with him and learned of his passions and interests and helped him get an internship that he loved. It fit right in with his interests. He helped him connect with a research mentor (Dr Len) and he was able to submit his research for publication. As for the college application process, well, my son, out of the blue, wanted to apply to the service academies. That is a whole another beast of a process. Daniel helped with 16 college applications and three service academy applications. The essays, the college app, coached him on military panel interviews as well as congressional nomination interviews. So now we have a problem - a good problem to have, we never expected. He got accepted to UT Austin early action as an out of state applicant. They had 140,000 applicants this year - 95% deferred, and only 10% is out of state. He is a national Air Force ROTC Scholarship recipient as well as Army ROTC Scholarship recipient. He received an appointment to the United States Military Academy (West Point) with three Congressional nominations. He also got accepted to 11 other colleges of which they are rewarding him with scholarships. Thank you Dr Daniel, Sasha, Dr Len and Team

He provided thoughtful, detailed answers to my questions and offered a level of transparency that made it easy to understand both the opportunities and challenges within the industry. What stood out most was not just Sasha's deep understanding of the tutoring space, but also his genuine care for his students and his commitment to delivering quality education. Sasha is both kind and incredibly knowledgeable, and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking to learn more about the tutoring sector--or to parents and students looking for someone they can trust.

Shahin gave me so many tips and tricks and taught me how to decipher what these complex math questions were asking. I just got news that I was accepted into the Rice University MBA program and I can't be more thankful to Shahin for prepping me for these exams!

I have not touched math for over 10 years so it was nice for me to have a math tutor for the GRE,…read moreand I think Shahin knows her stuff and is a good teacher when you have her attention. With that being said, I am sad to say that my experience has not been the very best. It was hard for us to set up/ and confirm appointments because I work and she was busy (she had a baby a couple months ago, so I think that triggered a lot of it). But I had to do 6 hours with her because she said that was the minimum and we broke these up into a couple of sessions. I also live in Houston so it was a trek getting out there to Stafford, so I usually give myself an hour before our sessions to arrive early and prepare. Among these times, I don't think there was one time where she was on time, nevertheless early. I would soon learn to bring something to do in the parking lot or do her homework while waiting. During our sessions her phone would constantly be on, and she would be texting and taking up phone calls which was a bit distracting for me (given, I believe most were from her parents regarding her baby). And there were times where I noticed she was setting up future tutorials which made me wonder why she was not as quick to respond to my requests. There were also issues for me where before my session ends, kids would be coming in to ask her questions, asking her about this and that, sharpening their pencils in the machine, etc. so our session would end early, or I was eager to get of there and let her deal with her incoming students. I have since then taken Kaplan and compared the two styles regarding GRE math; Shahin will teach you the quickest method to solve algebraically, where Kaplan teaches you that not all problems need to be fully solved, but to assess the problem and try to come up with an answer. I preferred the latter (Kaplan), but in all honestly I think that's just a personal preference.

I was assured this was something they could help with. We went in and my daughter took their version of the PSAT for $60. We were pulled into an office where we were spoken down to and my daughter was told that there was no excuse for her low grade since she had just taken the course. We were then given three very costly options to purchase hours ranging from $5000-$11000 and full payment was due immediately. There was no discussion of the policy regarding payments, expiration of purchased hours, progress checks, etc. Despite my hesitation, I signed my daughter up for one two-hour study class in Algebra at the drop-in rate of $125/hour. When she arrived, she was handed a workbook in a room full of other students and that was it. Her "instructor" reviewed her answers after 90 minutes, told her they were correct, and that was it. For $250, I paid for ZERO instruction. The book could have been given in advance as we scheduled the class two days prior at the location! Do not waste your time or money at C2!
