It was the worst experience in my life in the middle of my OET exam when I was reviewing my answers it didn't show that I marked them I don't know is it form the computer it self or internet connection I have no idea . Another thing I was trying to go back to the part c reason of oet it didn't work I called one of the staff in the middle in my exam and I told her I have an issue in my computer she didn't show any empathy the time was running and at the end she told me that she can't help !!!!! Gross facility- smelled like cat urine. Facility was humid and furniture beat up and torn/ needs major update. "Noise cancelling" headphones were so uncomfortable I had to take them off for being more distracting than helpful. Restrooms were disgusting, covered in toilet paper. read more

Do you want your important exam to be cancelled on you last minute? Then sign up here! It's so frustrating that they have time slots if they aren't not operating full time. Like why not put a sign on your door or put it on your website when you sign up?! Email or call us way in advance that you can't schedule the time you wanted!!! Such a waste of gas, time,& energy to get there and realize hey they are completely closed with NO notice at the door. Don't bother scheduling ANY EXAMS here! It's open again. Things were working when I was here. Biggest complaint is the person who talked for most of my exam and the random sugar ants I kept seeing on the computer and walls. In terms of speed, they were a little slow in the AM in registering people so I started maybe 5 or so minutes after my test was scheduled (it didn't take away time from the actual test but I would like to start on time or earlier). This testing center isn't bad. The temperature is set to 72 degrees Fahrenheit so it's not too cold or too hot. You begin your exam as soon as you check in. So if you want to start your exam early that's a good thing. They have noise canceling headphones which are optional. The computers are up to date and I didn't have any problems with them. The employees are nice and walk around the exam room every once in a while which scared me at one point. Overall I had a great experience at this testing center read more

I took my OAT here back in December with an 8:30 am start time. Prometric had sent me email reminders and left a voicemail stressing the importance of arriving 30 minutes early so that they would have ample time to check people in and get us situated in for our test. Myself and about 15 other test takers that morning all stood outside waiting for the workers to get there. They did not arrive to open up the doors to the testing site until a few minutes before 8:30 which was a bit unprofessional. Checking people in with all of the security measures in place also took quite some time so I did not actually get seated to take my test until about 9:15. Maybe it was an off day and the workers overslept. But if the Prometric workers expect all the test takers to show up early, the workers should be there too. It was annoying to start the day like that when everyone is probably feeling anxious about taking their exams. Other than that, my experience at the testing center was fine. There are lockers, restrooms, and a waiting area. Everything is dated but fairly clean. read more

I just took my 4th CPA exam at this Prometric location. Every experience I had there was absolutely delightful! There were the same 2 ladies and 1 older man there each time and all 3 of them made my experience better! Given the circumstances (since everyone is there to take a probably very difficult exam), the fact that they were nice made such a difference! The ladies started to remember me. How sweet. Always got there early and never had to wait long. Physical place is fine. I like the white noise in the testing room. read more

This testing center isn't the best, but it gets the job done. I found that the instruction emails were not completely accurate. They make it seem like your test starts at a certain time and you have to be there 30 minutes early to check in. The reality is that as soon as you check in your are pushed to start your test. My exam was scheduled for 3:30 and I started at 2:57. I appreciated finishing early but this really threw me off because I read my emails several times to make sure I understood. I found the testing room to be extremely cold. I had on several layers and still froze. There was also a smell in the room. After a while, the employees that come in and walk around to survey the room made me nervous. At one time they cleaned and sanitized a few stations near me which was distracting. Again, I thought we would all start our exams at the same time and no cleaning would be done until after everyone was finished. I also found the computer hardware to be dated. They use big bulky desktop computers with software that looks well over a decade old. Most of the employees were nice, expect one guy who I'm pretty sure did not want to be there. I showed up 45 minutes early to my exam only to wait over an hour and 30 minutes after my allotted exam time. The way they handled security is absurd and seemed like they were taking their sweet time doing it. After finally settling into my exam seat, I could hear the testing employees laughing and talking straight through the wall completely ignoring the fact that there are 30 students taking stressful exams. I tried using the noise canceling headphones but those were a complete joke. 2 hours into the exam they decided to turn on the noise machine. I understand and follow the guidelines of the mask protocols but yelling at a someone for not having it on in front of 15 people is a bit excessive and distracting. Extremely terrible. Avoid at all cost. Took an exam there on an early Saturday, 8 am. There were technical issues and the exam could not start until about 9:30 am. My exam was a four hour exam and eating was prohibited during exam. I was famished and could not get out until 1:45 pm. I felt enervated in my last hour of exam and did not do well. Also, my monitor was blurry. They are still using those old monitors and it gave me eye sore after awhile. The ear muff, like other say, does not do anything. People are close to one another. Took my test here today. The staff were friendly and the facilities were adequate. Restrooms in the building were clean. Check-in took a while but that's understandable bec we are still in the middle of the pandemic. I would rather that they take the time when checking people in and follow the precautions. I took the advice of others that is to only bring the necessities bec they have the lockers but it's not big and dress in layers just in case temp in the room gets cold. I do not have enough nice things to say about this place (specifically the employees). First of all, they are quick and COGNIZANT of your time. You can see it when they hustle to get you signed out for breaks etc. secondly, while they are quick, they are still thorough and never get impatient when being asked multiple questions which I saw happen back to back to back. I would have to disagree with the negative reviews. This place has obviously been completely updated and remodeled. The testing center is located inside the AllegianceBank building. I took my MCAT through Prometric. My appointment was at 8:00am, but I arrived early due to construction around the area. Prometric opened at around 7:15 and quickly started registering people. They provide you with a good-sized locker to place your things. The security (finger scan and metal detector) were okay, did not take too long. If you're taking the MCAT, I recommend bringing water, snacks, and a jacket (the room may get cold at times). You can store all these things in your locker bc you can't bring them inside the testing room. The environment of the room was great. Each person was given a cubicle with a computer with noise-cancelling headphones. You could still hear some background noise though. The bathroom was close to the testing room and they had a comfortable break area. The staff was relatively friendly. Enter through the back side of the building for easier access. read more

I took a 2-day, 10-hour exam at this Prometrics. The location is in a ghetto part of the town; but I parked here no problem. Staff was courteous and helpful except one of them who appeared like he did not want to be there. The most important part of an exam center I guess is quietness. I was sitting further away from the door and brought my own ear plugs so it was quiet. But if you were sitting close to the door, you probably would hear the staffs chatting continuously as people come in and out. I think it's common for these centers to have ear phones/ear muffs for em each station, but some of the cubicles didn't have the yellow earphones. I did not experience any technical difficulties. The wait to sign in/sign out for breaks was short. The only other complaint I have is that the bathroom was a like a good 30-40sec brisk walk from the testing rooms. So if you are going on an unscheduled break to use the restroom, expect to be out for at least 10 minutes (including sign in/out time). Just so you can time yourself accordingly read more

I took a 9-hour exam on 10/18/12 at the Prometric testing facility. The testing conditions on that day were disruptive because there were sounds and vibrations that were beyond those coming from the white noise generator. The staff members there agreed that it was not from the white noise fan, except for one of the proctors who insisted that it was the white noise fan. I believe that it was not from the white noise fan because I sat under the white noise fan and these other sounds were not from there. The first was the deep bass and accompanying vibrations that penetrated the walls. These started later in the morning and persisted intermittently throughout the afternoon. I could hear, and feel, explosions and what sounded like loud action sequences. It would seem that this facility is near an audio store where this would often occur. The second unsuitable sound came from the heating/cooling unit. It was a loud, rattling, metallic sound that occurred intermittently throughout the exam. I initially noticed it about 10 minutes into the second part. It lasted around 10-15 minutes and seemed to be noticeable about every hour or so. I eventually learned to block it out and attempt to deeply focus on the exam in an active effort to block out the sound; however, it was certainly a distraction and I am certain that it affected my performance that day. Further, despite utilizing the supplied ear muffs, you could still hear those extraneous sounds. The ear muffs, of course, did not alleviate the vibrations from the deep bass. I was contacted by the supervisor, JT, after requesting that they contact me. She indicated that they know about the audio store and the bass that comes from there so be forewarned that it something that will likely occur if you go there during their opening hours. Secondly, the rattling sound is supposed to be looked into by the building manager. What happens after that, well, we'll see. I suppose if enough people complain or some sort of monetary ramification/fine ensues, then it will probably be fixed. Otherwise, also be forewarned that this could be a problem for you too. read more

THE STAFF DID NOT SHOW UP TO WORK ON MY EXAM DAY. 2+ Hours LATE! I took my PMP exam on Sunday January 3rd 2016. The exam was to start at 8am so I arrived at 7:30am since they open their doors at 7am. This is a professional exam in which I used my Holiday time to prepare for and had to give up a lot of my free time and family's free time to make this commitment. I have spent nearly $1000 in exam fees, study material and pre-exams, not to mention the career impact and necessity to pass this exam on my first attempt. It was to my surprise and 20+ other peoples that we were there on time for our exam but the staff DID NOT SHOW UP FOR WORK. This is a testers worst nightmare. We are professionals and these exams are big commitments. There was one lady at the front desk who was on the phone with Prometric management but there advise to her was to keep trying the employees cell phones and hopefully they come to work. You can imagine the stress this puts on people, when you spend months and more preparing yourself and now you are told you may not be able to take the exam today and will have to wait at least a full day to reschedule. The saving grace for all of us was the lady at the front desk who had to manage through this situation because her bosses incompetence to lead in urgent situations. After a couple hours enough people opted for a reschedule and she was able to reach one employee to come in so those of us who stayed could sit for our exam. I started 2+ hours late from my original time and for much of that time was uncertain if I could even take it that day. Not to mention the material for the PMP exam was changing later that week so if we couldn't find open spots that week we would have to go back and learn new material for the content change that is controlled by the national organization. I urge you to use any other center in Houston but the Harwin facility! I never thought to check yelp before I picked my exam center and boy was I regretting that decision. Thankfully, I still passed my PMP on my first attempt but it was not without incredible stress caused my Prometric facility and staff. read more

I've been here twice now and both have been good experiences. Since I suffer from misophonia, I am extremely sensitive to sound, and I'm glad I didn't read S N.'s review first because that would have freaked me out. I would have gladly driven 30 minutes farther just to avoid what sounded like impossible testing conditions for me. However, that must have been a very unusual occurrence. Seriously, I don't even hear the other people in the room except for a light sound of typing (not loud, and easily ignorable especially with the sound-canceling headphones they provide). In addition to the sound canceling headphones, there is a noise sort of like air conditioning or something, which I find helps me in a similar manner to white noise to further ignore extraneous sounds and focus. The staff here are also very friendly. Seriously, I really like them. It surprised me since normally people staffing such an establishment are bored and tired of repeating the same instructions all day, but instead they make you feel like an individual and aren't rushed. read more

I have to disagree with some of the negative reviews posted about this test center- I had a fabulous testing experience at this location. I came here last week to take a board exam at 8am. I'm glad that I followed the directions on the reminder email rather than Google maps because the regular exit was blocked due to construction. While I didn't see the Prometric name listed on the marquis, it was very easy to find the building and suite (it was the only building that was not Target, Pappadeaux, or Chick Fil A lol). Another reviewer described the area as "ghetto", but unless he/she mistakingly said that in a flawed attempt to say cultural diversity exists in the area, I disagree. It's literally right off the highway, the area is busy, security is solid, and I felt safe. I understand the need to feel secure in an already stressful situation of test day, and I was not worried about my safety or my car during my exam. Parking was abundant, and once inside, security and receptionist were helpful in guiding me to the suite (which was also very easy to find- walk straight back). I arrived about 35 mins early to prep my mind, and I'm actually glad I spent much of that time in my car. The Prometric staff members were helpful, professional, and timely. Once you're inside, they try to get you testing as soon as possible, even if that's 15 mins before you're scheduled to start, so keep that in mind when you're deciding to walk in. Restrooms are clean, waiting room is cozy, lockers are big enough for a backpack. The test room was comfy in temperature- I was putting my jacket on and off throughout my 8 hour exam. It's pretty quiet, and the headphones help, but they don't necessarily cancel all noise. Not sure if my ear buds would have been better, though. There's white noise in the background as well. You can hear the door open and close, and depending on where you're seated, that could be a concern; it it didn't bother me too much personally. They do seem to wipe the stations, although I wanted to dust my keyboard a little. Don't ask me how the test went lol. But as for the exam taking experience, it was positive, and I'd absolutely come back here to take another one (if I had to). read more

I recently gave a test there. It was Ok no issues.There is a little wait time so just be a little ahead of schedule. I didn't encounter any sounds or any disturbances during the 4 hours which I have there(3 to around 7:30) The restrooms are on the other side so if you take a brake it would be at least a 5 min long break,(Which includes walking to and fro and also the (security)checks which prometric does every time you come out of the testing room. Taking a test is usually never an exciting experience, but this testing center goes out of its way to make sure they give you an extra hard time on test day. Security procedures are tough, I get it, but do you really have to be so rude about it? Everyone I encountered (and I've been to this testing location twice) was plain rude. Seemed like they hated their jobs, didn't care to answer questions, acted like we were pissing them off etc. The staff gave such a hard time to the man in front of me who was not too fluent in English and asked them a few questions. My main complaint is the horrible attempt at providing an optimal testing center. I primarily take multiple choice exams and the CLACK CLACK CLACK of the keyboards from other candidates taking the GRE is extremely distraction. You would think they would separate the users so there's a quiet room. Their attempt at providing ear muffs is laughable. They do ABSOLUTELY ZERO is muffling sound, they are literally useless. I had a great experience taking my MCAT here. The Staff: The people working at the testing center were all very friendly and helpful. They were detailed and strict in terms of security and making sure you knew what you were supposed to be doing and when you were supposed to do it. The man in charge of checking me in was very friendly and even joked around with the students to try to make them a little more relaxed. The facilities: The center gives you a locker where you are instructed to put all of the things you can't take into the exam. The actual testing room was a good temperature, and definitely not too cold. They put you at a computer inside a cubicle and give you headphones. I loved this setup. It allowed for complete focus, and I hardly even knew anyone else was there. The location: The location is a little bit out of the way if you live in the inner loop. I was worried about being able to find the actual center because it is listed as being a suite inside of a larger building, but the testing center is easily seen from outside the building and very easy to find. Overall, this is a great place to take a test, and I highly recommend it. read more

Testing experience with Prometric staff was okay, no issues. I do agree that the noise cancelling ear muffs that are provided are not completely capable of muting out all traces of sound but do an okay job if the "white noise" in the background is bothersome. I got to the testing center around 0730 and there were plenty of people there already (people taking the test and staff). Security check-in was fairly quick, no issues there. This site is closer to me, this is mainly the reason why I chose this center, I scheduled ahead of reading all previous negative reviews, but again, my experience in general was fine. The center is hard to locate if not familiar with the area but this specific center off of the Northwest Fwy is situated inside of the bank building, its easy to find if you go around the back, the entrance to the test center is labeled. read more

I took a few professional exams at this location and I would rate this center as moderate. If you go on the weekend it is absolutely packed and you will have to wait 45+ minutes from your scheduled test time. That is inexcusable for the kind of money it costs to test with Prometric. Most of the staff is neither friendly or rude but there are a few flat out rude people who work in the reception area. They do not look at you when they speak to you. Anyway, I went there to test and not to make friends so whatever floats their boats. The restrooms are pretty far away so if you are taking a timed test and will be using the facilities keep that in mind if the clock is ticking while you take a break. As for the room in which the test is given it is on the cold side and the HVAC blower is very loud. The neighborhood this center is located in is on the ghetto side but I felt safe leaving even at night. I have tested at the center on the north side on Imperial Valley and it is so much better. There is onsite security, super nice Prometric staff, better room temperature, etc. If you can I would point you to test on the north side but do not go north on Imperial Valley because it is a total ghetto war zone where it intersects Greens Rd. If your car has a flat or breaks down there at night you will probably be murdered. read more

DO NOT take a test here if you can avoid it. There is NO soundproofing; they give you crappy headphones and you can still hear everything. I agree with earlier comments about the attitudes by all the staff there being unprofessional. The staffers were conversing and laughing loudly almost the entire time, and when I asked if there were better headphones or if they could keep it down, they said no and told me to turn on the noise machine. Heaven forbid they create a quiet, noise-free testing atmosphere - their only job. The restrooms and water fountains are far from the testing room, (which matters when you only get a one minute break between testing sessions,) and they take 4 additional minutes to check you in and out of your testing room. They seem to go out of their way to make things uncomfortable; while taking a 4 hour test, you need to move around a little and get comfy, every time my leg or anything was "out of place" they came to interrupt me and tell me not to sit that way. DO NOT TAKE YOUR TEST HERE. I signed up for the MCAT at this location and the "proctors" were never in the room. A man during the middle of the exam starting yelling at his exam and freaking out. Being that I didn't want to waste or lose time anymore than I already had through this distraction ( Mind you with the noise canceling headphones on) I could not say something immediately. Thus, the proctors had no idea and when I called the next day to report the situation and bring it to their attention, the woman on the phone said t" you should have gotten up during your exam in the first place". Really? Because I am supposed to do your job during the most important test of my life?? Pure ignorance. Im sorry what are paid for then? Just to finger print us and treat us like inmates when YOUR PURPOSE IS TO MONITOR THE EXAM. Not too mention they had other exams taking place the moment we began ours. Someone was typing away at their computer very LOUDLY slamming the keyboard and the individual whom was yelling at the beginning of the exam continued to punch his desk in distress throughout the exam. Lets just say, the people at this place did not fulfill their commitment. Good luck I highly suggest a different center. Oh, Also you cannot wear a watch and the computer system clock is not synced with the only clock in the break area in fact the computer as I remember it is about half hour slower.. I think (or the other way around). In any case, at least have the decency to match the time with computers. read more
