Most recently, I got their seasonal juice option with espresso, and it was delicious. I also love that they collaborate with Gaia for their patties. I always get either the salmon or the curry vegetable, and they are packed with flavor and seasoned so well. The salmon patty even comes with a great dipping sauce. When I visit, I usually get my coffee for the day, pick up 2 to 3 canned juices to last me for the next few days, and grab 2 patties for later. My favorite canned juice is the Carnival. It is also such a cool location. There is seating inside, but it is located within a local art gallery, so you can peruse the rotating exhibits while you wait or after you get your drink. While you are there, make sure to check out the rest of the building. Right next door is a small African business with unique merchandise, and the owner is extremely friendly. There are also books in the back where you can sit down and read. Follow Coffee Was Black on social media because they are always doing cool collaborations around the city. Be sure to support them, spread the word, and help this small business continue to succeed!

The drinks were definitely the highlight here. I tried the Plátanos Latte and the Plátanos Matcha,…read moreand both were smooth, comforting, and well made. The Plátanos Matcha was actually my favorite drink that I had during my trip to Atlanta. It was incredibly smooth, well balanced, and something I'd highly recommend. I just wish the plantain flavor came through a little more since it's the signature ingredient. It appears there are two vendors operating in the same space, as I was charged separately for my drinks and my food. I also tried the beef patty, which unfortunately wasn't for me. It had more of a curry flavor than a traditional Jamaican patty, the pastry was soft instead of flaky, and at $8 it was the most expensive patty I've purchased. The pastry also fell apart while I was eating it, and half of it ended up on the floor. I'd personally skip the patty and stick to the drinks.

Switchyards opened up the Cabbagetown location rather recently, and I decided to join one of…read morefriends that's a member of Switchyards to see what it was all about. I've got to say that the atmosphere, look and feel of the space was extremely warm and welcoming. It reminded me much more of a speakeasy meets workspace, which for those working from home or in between jobs (like myself) is extremely appealing. I also appreciated that there was a heads down space for those who wanted to be in a quieter setting. As you can see from the photos, there is plenty of plants, seating, outlets, and more. There is even a nice coffee/ tea bar where members can enjoy free coffee, cold brew, as well as a special drink called Clubkeep cold brew concoction. I tried this drink and it's an enjoyable mix of cold brew and what tasted like a hint of orange. Switchyards continues to do things right here in Cabbagetown and stays true to their brand exemplifying one of their mottos 'Made with Soul in Atlanta.'

An experience! June 2026…read moreI'm giving two stars because the place is decorated very cute. The table settings were nice. But once I was told the price of $65 plus for a few sandwiches and dessert trays it became ludicrous. Not to mention only two teapots per table which means you could not order tea individually. You had to decide between the table which two teas you wanted. We were told that the experience was 1 hour and a half. We started at 11:30 am and baby right at 12:27 pm the server came and said your experience ends in 3 minutes. All I heard was you don't have to go home but you got to get the hell up out of here!!! *S/N* There was nothing sent out prior to the visit to ask about allergies or food restrictions. However, when they served the sandwiches, the chicken salad had walnuts in it. They could not make any alterations or accommodations for anyone with an allergy. So there was only cucumber sandwiches and five smoked salmon sandwiches to share between four people. When we told the server she said, did anybody specify that before they came. To which we said, no one asked. Not worth $95 at all. Store bought food and desserts smh. Maybe that's why they call it The Dirty Tea because they do people dirty! I'm not sure how to respond to the owner but I was there at 11:07 and the majority of the guests were already inside. And the only reason I was 7 mins lates is because I was trying to figure out parking. I do know there were two people who came in after the experience started. Again maybe you have the wrong group because we were not thirty minutes late.

Every detail of the decor is well thought out. You have great photo ops around every corner. They serve loose-leaf tea. The tea was ok. My table got the ginger tea and peach ginger tea. The tea had a very faint flavor and was not strong. The presentation was more noteworthy than the taste. Perhaps the other flavors might be more robust. The sandwich tower was nice. I enjoyed the variety of chicken salad, cucumber and smoked salmon sandwiches. They were all good - the salmon was my favorite taste-wise and the chicken salad has very nice presentation with fun shapes and classy Pearl toothpicks. The dessert tower was also lovely with a good variety of different treats including scones, macarons, banana pudding, mini strawberry cheesecake, etc. The treats that I had were satisfying. This is a gorgeous space you must visit or book for a private event. They have welcoming service and create a unique and enjoyable experience.

It's tucked away so well that you'll probably think you're in the wrong place when you're actually right where you need to be. The parking lot sits behind the building, and the entrance is up a flight of stairs, so the tea bar isn't immediately obvious. But once you step inside, everything changes. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and incredibly inviting. It's the kind of place where you can curl up with a good book, knock out a few hours of remote work, or simply unwind with a cup of tea. It's also a perfect little venue for intimate birthday gatherings, business meetings, open mic nights, or spoken word events. Quaint, peaceful, and full of charm, this is the kind of spot you'll want to keep to yourself... until you can't help but tell everyone about it. The tea is phenomenal! Not the usual basic stuff.

Had the opportunity to visit here for a private business event. We gave our information at the…read morefront, received wristbands, and were led to the private space. The room we were in had a bar along the wall, two or three long high top tables in the center of the room, smaller cafe tables along one wall, and five or six racing simulators along another wall. My group and I arrived a few minutes before the event was to begin, and the F1 Arcade team assigned to the space was setting out the food so that it was served fresh for guests. The entire team seemed very attentive throughout the event, replenishing the small buffet area and retrieving empty glasses. Food was included in the package the event host purchased but not beverages. Drinks were ordered at the bar but attendants were also walking around taking orders for sparkling water, soda, etc. So, my husband and I ordered a bottle of sparkling water. One thing to note is that when a few other people at the table started to order drinks, the attendant started to open a tab with our card to cover drinks for the whole table although people were meant to purchase their own, and some were people we didn't know at all. I'm not sure what that was about, but thankfully we and one of the other guests noticed and she started to do separate orders. The space was kept clean, never felt overcrowded, and the simulators were a hit with everyone and a nice touch for that kind of gathering. It was nice that no one had to leave the event space to go out into the rest of the busy arcade just to check out the simulators. The only thing I think the space could have used was a microphone setup so that the host didn't have to shout to try to get everyone's attention and project so much during his brief talks. I'm not sure if that was offered or asked for, since it was more of a business casual celebratory event so there weren't many speeches. All in all, it seemed like a nice place to come back with a group of friends to enjoy the rest of the arcade or to hold an event.

There was plenty of free parking on the Saturday morning and upon entering, I could smell the fresh coffee roasting and food being prepared. The large menu on the wall with all the choices of specialty drinks and food was so welcoming. The staff made each sandwich description mouthwatering. We checked in and met with one of the owners, Devin, for the coffee cupping experience. We were giving a cup and spoon to taste the freshly brewed coffees. We were offered 8 different kinds of coffees from around the world. I personally enjoyed the light roasted coffee best. It was so floral and smelled amazing. I learned so much about the tasting notes and preparation of coffee from growing seeds to how the coffee shop processes and roasts the beans . Devin was really a great presenter too. We will visit again in the future.

During my visit they were decked out for Christmas, from lights to wreaths to calming Christmas music. There was a bit of a wait, the line was pretty long when I walked in and it took about 20 minutes to order. The women at the counter did apologize for the wait a few times and explained that the chef has called out sick, and there were only two of them working. She reassured everyone that this was not a common occurrence so I'm not concerned about that for the future. I got the iced latte and it wasn't the best I've ever had, but not the worst. The cup it came in was adorable so that definitely helped. Considering the wait to order was so long I figured the wait for the coffee would reflect that, but that was not the case and it came quickly. There's also a lot of seating, including booths, tables, and couches. It was relatively crowded when I was there but at no point were all the seats taken. The parking lot is huge and is free! Do not be discouraged by the ParkMobile signs, you only have to pay after 5pm when they close. They do allow dogs, and have a water bowl inside for them. There is also a small store inside that has a selection of items from local vendors. Super cute idea.

As such, let's talk about my recent visit. The location sits towards the rear of the high traffic area which is perfect for finding parking. Upon walking in there is an assortment of treats that capture your eye. The ambiance of the location is super chill and artsy. The paintings on the wall are not only amazing but they are for sale as well. Talk about a win win! Being this was my first time I wanted to go outside of my usual coffee order. I decided on the Coffee of the Day with a shot of Almond and Vanilla. The Murder Blend has a smooth Coffee taste. This is the perfect blend for someone (such as myself) who enjoys the authentic taste of coffee. As I love a good Dark Blend. This Medium/Dark Blend allows the roast flavor to be very evident. The flavor profile has a heavy body, and the flavor is prominent but isn't spicy and has the authentic bittersweet tang, subtle chocolate and caramel flavors, with hints of smokiness. Yeah! As you can see, this is a perfect coffee for any moment of the day... The flavor shots are strong which pair well with the heaviness of the Murder Blend. The young lady who helped me originally was nice, however, as she wasn't as much of a coffee drinker I was unable to get her take on any of the other blends. As such, I will be back again to be surprised by the daily blend. Overall, this location is great for a break from a busy day, a chance to meet with friends, or even a quick business conversation. All of the aforementioned will fit in this location with any blend of coffee.
