A good friend of mine invited hubby & I to BC for a special dinner in celebration of our birthday's. First of all we had the entire dining room to ourselves. Of course we had an amazing window seat. PROS Impeccable service from everyone Food - All three of our meals were delicious and plated so elegantly. Cocktails - Hubby & I was very pleased with our cocktails (peach martini & margarita) Music - There was soft jazz playing throughout the dining room and lounge area. Parking - Complimentary Valet Parking CONS The lady at the front desk of the main building on the first floor (not the super nice lady on the 26th floor) was not helpful at all, almost rude. My fiancee and I had a really great time at Buckhead Club. Thanks to Michelle K for the invite. The food and service were excellent. Buckhead Club is a private business and social club located on the 26th floor of the Sovereign building in Buckhead (the tallest building in Buckhead, same building as Bistro Niko). Complimentary valet is located on-site. You can also self-park in the attached deck and Buckhead Club will validate. Buckhead Club is part of the ClubCorp network of clubs which consists of over 230 clubs worldwide. Nearly 30 of those clubs are right here in metro Atlanta. Unlike most of ClubCorp's clubs, Buckhead Club only offers business, event, and dining/catering services; no golf, tennis, swimming, gym, etc. As a Buckhead Club member, you do have access to other clubs in the ClubCorp network, though the specifics differ depending on each club. As far as food and service go, I found Buckhead Club to be at or near the top of my ClubCorp dining experiences. We took a tour of the club. It has great panoramic views of the city. You can take in the views from the club's bar (Char, named after whiskey barrel char) and lounge (Lounge 26), dining room (Peachtree Dining Room), and various banquet and conference rooms. They have workspaces if you want to work remote and you can book rooms for events and functions such as business meetings and weddings. The club looks and feels formal, modern, and elegant. It's got that traditional club flair, but with updated, contemporary touches in terms of furniture, design, and decor. The sophisticated atmosphere is classy and fun. Like other clubs worldwide which have aging memberships, in order to attract new and younger members, Buckhead Club offers affordable memberships to people under 40. I asked the lady at the front desk, Cardiah, how big the membership is and she told me about 1,300 to 1,400 members. Being in the middle of a big city, Buckhead Club is in a strong position. Other clubs haven't been so lucky and have had to find ways to adapt and survive, whether it's by waiving initiation fees and slashing member dues to relaxing dress codes and decorum. Buckhead Club requires men to wear jackets (blazers) in the dining room and keep them on at all times during the fall and winter. The club serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily with complimentary food (e.g. self-serve platters) available during certain times of day. Like other clubs, Buckhead Club offers a calendar of activities every month. Examples include speaking engagements, networking opportunities, food-related events, holiday gatherings, and fun stuff like trivia. The night of our visit, the club happened to be offering a special three-course prime rib dinner which was perfect because my fiancee and I love prime rib. It cost only $30 per person, a terrific price. Of course, that's not counting membership dues in order to have the privilege to eat here and pay that price. I noticed the prices of the drinks were reasonable too. My fiancee ordered a Pineapple Mojito at the bar and it cost only $7.50. I thought it tasted like lemon candy, but she liked it. It was made with Bacardi rum, pineapple, lime, club soda, and mint. Here's what was on the menu: * Choice of Caesar Salad or Soup du Jour (Bacon and Potato Soup) * River Farm Grass-Fed Prime Rib with creamy maple horseradish, skillet herb-roasted fingerling potatoes, and chef's vegetables * Cherries Jubilee, prepared tableside, served with chocolate gelato In addition to the above, there was an amuse-bouche, compliments of Executive Chef Daniel Andre (who came to visit with us before our meal), and bread service. The amuse-bouche consisted of octopus, mango, jicama, ginger, and celery. All of the food was high quality and delicious, presented beautifully, and the portion sizes were generous. I tried both the Caesar salad and the bacon and potato soup and enjoyed them both. Both the soup and salad were filling, each sized almost like an entree. I love salad so I appreciated that. The prime rib was superb. I had mine cooked medium rare. The chef's vegetables included fresh, crisp watercress and yummy pattypan squash. A pleasant surprise, served with the prime rib, was Yorkshire pudding. It was wonderful; light, soft, and eggy. Because the kitchen was missing an ingredient for the cherries jubilee, we had the following desserts instead: * Chocolate Moelleux Cake - warm molten dulce de leche cake, homemade sweet corn and vanilla sorbet, orange blossom flower creme anglaise * Seasonal Berries and Georgia Peach Sorbet - infused with spiced red wine, armagnac, and mint * Bananas Foster - prepared tableside, flambe with banana liquor, served over vanilla ice cream Each one of the desserts was fantastic. I liked them equally. Again, generous portion sizes, especially on the berries. If I could only pick one, I'd recommend the Bananas Foster. I was invited by a friend of a member to attend a dinner party. Upon arrival, I was asked which party I was joining. I informed the lady at the front desk that I do not know the person's name as I was invited by a guest of the member. Then I proceeded to tell her that they are sitting in the lounge. I had to wait by the front desk for a good 10 minutes until my friend checked his phone and walked around the partition to greet me. I am only somewhat perturbed about the situation because I saw others just walk in without being questioned who they were with. Also, when I finally entered the lounge there was only one party of color, so the person of color working the front desk could've reasonably assumed I was with them. On the other hand, I understand that the people that just walked in could have been regulars and that they must police who enters. In the lounge area we waited an uncomfortable amount of time to be greeted and have our drink orders taken. Dinner, I am disappointed by the lack of vegetarian (I was not expecting vegan) options on the menu. In fact, there was NOT ONE option. But our server did inform us that the chef can create a vegan dish. Later a lady came around offering bread. She gave us each two pieces, but another member of our party realized that every other table had a basket of bread on their table. When I inquired about it, our server stated that they had more people at their tables so they get a basket. Then, I politely pointed out that the table adjacent to us has the same number of people yet they have a basket of bread. Then the server, said "Oh I can get you all a basket of bread, it's not like that." The vegan entree was alright. Not bad or great. Not memorable and the serving size was petite, but I know that is synonymous with high end restaurants. Upon departure, the lady at the front desk completely changed her demeanor and was sweet as peaches. I think once I proved myself worthy of being in the club I was now entitled to be treated like a regular person (can you feel my sarcasm). If it were not for the company I was surrounded by, I would not have enjoyed myself at the Buckhead Club. I felt treated unequally from other guests and the food was not memorable. read more

Had lunch on a weekday afternoon around 1, even though lunch was over at 2. Service was great! Crab cake starter was awesome. The mini muffins in the bread basket were equally great. Cesar salad was standard, while the Beet salad was superior. The skin on the trout could've been a tad bit crispier and the tuna melt was tasty. read more

The halibut ($30) was cooked well, but was completely flavorless. A yellow drizzle and black dots decorated the plate. These were unusual, mild flavors. I ended up scraping them to the side. The bed of vegetables was equally flavorless. I ended up having to use salt and pepper to add some flavor to this dish. Highly not recommended. The setting and views were great. read more

I had a company luncheon there recently and always have an excellent experience! The views for one are fantastic. I believe they are on the 26th floor in Buckhead. We ate in the dining room. I had the Asian Chicken Salad which was very good. Although a coworker of mine got the Poke Bowl which looked like a rainbow of color with beautiful fresh fish. If I go back before the menu changes I will definitely try that next time. This is an excellent place to take clients and have business meetings. All of the staff is wearing masks as well. And they validate your parking for Valet or Garage parking. read more

I enjoyed my visit to the Buckhead Club (thanks, Michelle K), and I strongly considered purchasing a membership there -- or at one of their affiliates -- instead of opting to pay rent at a coworking space. The breathtaking view of Atlanta alone almost had me (politely) throwing my credit card at one of their staff members to sign me up. Things to know: ***** I. LOCATION & PARKING: The Buckhead Club resides on the 26th floor in the same building of Bistro Niko. They have a covered parking deck behind the building, which Buckhead Club validates. II. AMENITIES: + Invites to networking events + Dining discounts + Access to their lounges as well as work and conference rooms. + Spectacular views of the city + Ability to visit other clubs around the country + Permission to golf on almost all of Georgia's pristine courses. III. FOOD: I had both their beet and grilled shrimp salads and found both to be surprisingly memorable. I don't know if I'm a sucker for goat cheese, but they use fresh, tasty ingredients. Just wow. What rockstar chef works there? IV. SERVICE: Friendly, professional, and personable. No problems there. Michelle K, too, knew everyone there. V. PRICE: Members pay $127 per month, which includes either a $60 meal credit or a certain percentage off of each meal (I forget how much, exactly). If you have your own business or work for a corporation, which requires the need to secure deals then I see the importance of having access to a place like the Buckhead Club. VI. OVERALL: I seriously thought about becoming a member, but I wish the club offered a workout facility, showers, 24-hour access, etc... This club is stuffy and dated. It's small, overall, and the space available to work and meet is minimal. The food is limited and just okay, the breakfast is decent but not worth the membership. They have private spaces where you can go if you need quiet, but the spaces have to be reserved and I think there are only two of these private rooms. There are some benefits like free breakfast before 9, which is early to me. They are closed on weekends and don't stay open very late. The events and activities can be kind of pricey on top of paid membership, but honestly can't remember any events that are included. Maybe there are some that I missed. Nothing that stood out for me. The clientele seems like a bunch of sales people constantly trying to get you to give them money for whatever it is they are trying to sell --loud and pushy. A bunch of loud phone talkers who want you to overhear their conversations so they feel important. The feeling I got here was so many people trying to prove something, but an empty, lacking... environment. It might be an Atlanta thing, that superficial, materialistic, shallow, exclusionary, cliquish, wannabe elitist (but no one else wants whatever it is you pretend to have) vibe. Overall, I was a member for a year because you have to sign a contract for a year or they charge you hundreds to cancel. Had I had the opportunity to try it out before I joined, I would not have joined. Just more of the same and nothing of substance. read more

On a whim, a group of friends and I visited the Buckhead club last night, thanks to our friends Panida S. & Greg S. We were already out for HH at Seven Lamps and decided to go somewhere else for more drinks and dessert. I remembering coming here two years ago for my first holiday party with the current company I'm with. Even back then, it was definitely a pleasant experience and our dinner was fantastic! The Buckhead Club is on the 26th floor of a beautiful building off of Peachtree Rd. above Bistro Niko. Coincidentally, it's the building where the Spanx HQ is located as well. The view from the lounge/bar area was pretty amazing. We grabbed one of their tables which had an amazing etched glass artwork of the different communities in ATL. Loved the company and our dessert selections were equally good. We shared the Cherries Jubilee and the Summer Berries and Georgia Peach Sorbet. Service was decent and the entire floor is immaculate. The Buckhead Club is a very welcoming Club Corp property just north of ATL. Its decor is stylish and warm, it's staff are friendly - from the servers to the front desk receptionist, and the views are stunning - of ATL of course but of Buckhead too. The Club is a short walk from the MARTA Buckhead Station so if you are staying in ATL as I was you can easily do dinner here in case it's a weekend or holiday and the Commerce Club (ATL's downtown Club Corp property) is closed. For those visitors note the club is in an office building. Upon arriving the receptionist called to the restaurant podium to have the host come and meet us at the entrance of the club instead of just pointing us in the right direction. A nice touch to start with!! Once seated our waters were quickly filled and a server quickly appeared and informed us she would do anything to accommodate or needs. Throughout our meal several others, including supervisors, would visit our table to serve us or see if we needed anything. This club is all about going the extra mile. They do small things that make them stand out. There are certain menu items that are prepared table side for example. We ordered a dessert prepared table side (Bananas Foster). Also neat was that to set down the entrees, they used one employee per guest and simultaneously pulled off large silver domed plate covers to reveal the food. An impressive touch especially when it's a big table of 6 people. The food was great as well. I ordered a Pad Thai dish and was pleasantly surprised not only by its size but by the good flavours. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely make it a point to visit this club and share the experience with whomever I am travelling with. read more

There are two Club Corp business clubs in Atlanta. The Buckhead club is my 2nd favorite. :) It's on the 26th floor in the Sovereign building, right on Peachtree and that's the problem. It's a little difficult to find and traffic on Peachtree in Buckhead is horrendous, almost any time of day. The club offers typical Club Corp high end service. I was going to meet someone at the club and showed up a little early. Had a seat in the bar and ordered a glass of wine. When the woman brought it, I could only think, "that's about as short a pour I've ever had" I know it's Buckhead but a $15 glass of wine should still get you a fifth of the bottle. Even with that, this is a very nice private club. read more

I've been to several special events and receptions at this venue now, and I am indeed a fan of the Buckhead Club for those purposes. While it might lack the prestige of some other private clubs in town (ie Commerce Club), I actually think the overall experience is better here. The food here is quite delicious and for buffet style cocktail receptions is beautifully presented. Even though the mini desserts look quite obviously premade offsite/frozen, they're addictive. Service is good, and the views from all the event spaces are spectacular. There are two downsides to this place: parking and Buckhead traffic. The valet is always backed up because it's shared with all the tenants of this complex, and the self parking is a maze and expensive. Though the later is somewhat out of their control, it's still worth mentioning in a review, because you need to add at least 15 minutes to whatever Waze or Google Maps is telling you in order to have sufficient time to navigate the madness that is Peachtree Street in this part of town at any time during the day. read more

Only open to members and you can only become a member by being asked. Was in a wedding here and was very impressed. They run like a Swiss clock and when you schedule an event there, whether it be the rehearsal dinner or even the wedding, it will start and END on time. Wedding was the entire Penthouse 26th Floor and the view was worth it. Had a great time but the only hiccup was the Valet didn't get there until 11am but the wedding party had to be there at 9am. Not sure of their regular hours of operation but I was surprised that a place like this would ever be open to its high level of clientele and not have an active Valet. I was at the Buckhead club for a reception and dinner for 90 people. Apparently "Peachtree Street" is a high status address in Atlanta, but it turns out that the entrance to the club is not on Peachtree and our driver's GPS had a problem with that. I didn't care for the food. It wasn't hot and was too heavy, though that was as much due to the menu choices by the party's hosts as to the club's kitchen. This place was fabulous! The views are beautiful, and the service was perfect. The menu is small but has all of the basics. Our meals were delicious. The chef also created an appetizer for me that wasn't on the menu. The seating around the windows is broken up by the building columns and provides a bit of privacy from overhearing conversations at the next table. We will be back! read more

The food was excellent the service was great. The reason I am giving 2 stars is only that my wife and I bought a Travel zoo voucher that was $69. It gave 2 people 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and 2 deserts. When we finished our meal and received our check we noticed that the voucher was not being used as a voucher but used as a credit. So we did not actually get a deal. They took the $69 and applied it to the bill, leaving me with a $70 bill. I was told by Buckhead Club staff(Manager) that It was not their problem I had to talk to Travel zoo. My wife and I were furious our entire dinner was tainted all because this snobatorium didn't want to honor the deal. The woman at the concierge said "its a credit not a 2 for one". I pointed out to her on the voucher that's exactly what it is a 2 for 1. These deals are out there to draw more business it entices people to come to your restaurant and offer a bargain. I told the woman what deal am I getting if there is no discount if I am only paying in advance part of my bill. I don't go out and spend $140 on a dinner with my wife? In the end I said I will not pay for anything more than the gratuity and my one beer. Guess what? That's all I paid out of pocket. read more

My wife and I went to the Buckhead Club last night and had an over all excellent experience. The club is very warm and professionally decorated. The view is very good of Buckhead. The serving staff, specifically Katherine and Cecelia are outstanding. Both are personable, attentive, knowledgeable and just very professional and in tune with their guests. The ONLY drawback to the club, and this prevented me from giving Buckhead Club a 5 star is the receptionist who greets you at the door and the other young lady who answers phones to make reservations. Both lack etiquette, couth and social skills in dealing with guests both in person and on the phone, especially for the guests that are attracted to this level of dining. read more

I had the pleasure of visiting the Buckhead Club this past weekend with friends. It was a beautiful place although not really my taste. The staff seemed professional and attentive. The view, although nice wasn't as wonderful as I had expected based on the reviews received from others. The thing that struck me the most was the food. I was unimpressed. Although the cut of meat was excellent and perfectly prepared, the compliment of the dinner was virtually non-existent. I was presented a soup which was cool in a bowl which was too warm to touch, a small "baby greens" salad with goat cheese that resemble a funnel. My "mixed vegetables" consisted of the stalk end of, I think, of a squash which was approximately 1 inch on diameter and 1/4 inch thick, a 3 inch sliver of carrot that was les than 1/8 of an inch thick and a green vegetable which was tasty but only 2 inches in length. Nothing against the place, it is just not my cup of tea. I have had much better meals in Atlanta and the surrounding area at other clubs and restaurants. I was quite honestly was disappointed in the experience. I will not return. read more

Came here twice for conference dinners. View is as good as you can get in Atlanta. Food was edible but won't surprise you in any dimension. Had tomato soup for starter, filet mignon for entree and chocolate cake for dessert. Tomato soup is like the one you get from Wholefoods. Filet mignon was like the one your daddy grills for you if he's not a professional chef. Chocolate cake was no better than the one you get from Trader Joes. I was taken to the Buckhead Club for dinner on my birthday. A friend of mine has a membership through the Washington Club. I was very impressed with the five star service provide. The staff caters to your every need down to the cloth napkins that read Happy Birthday Brianna. My name was spelled wrong but I was impressed with the details of the last minute dinner reservations made only within 24hours from out of state. Only open to invited members and I see why. I was there for a meeting. The club is sterile, like a corporate hotel. The views are stunning from the 26th floor, looking both North and South. The valet parking is the same as Bistro Niko. The food was mediocre, with tough but mushy steak and standard salad. The service was excellent. It was very quiet. Great for a dinner meeting. read more

Was here today to meet a business contact and was thoroughly impressed - fantastic location for business, helped to have valet - I was kinda running late for my meeting and dreading having to find parking on Peachtree of all places, courteous staff, they know members by name and are on top of all arrangements for guests. I was shown in straight to my contact's table, we only had coffee but service was polite. The views are truly breathtaking - I may not leave if I come to work here. I did ask for a tour of the place and seriously contemplating membership here for business purposes. Helps that they have a gym onsite and all those conference and meeting rooms. I even looked at their calendar for the month and so many fun and interesting events planned just for members. The fact that they are connected to several other such clubs in state, out and internationally is a nice added advantage. As stated by others, many of the staff are superb, and others lack the social skills and polish one would expect from any social club, regardless. Yes the food is great, views, etc. Thats disappointing. The disappointment continued the more I worked with the event staff. I have dealt with the events staff on many occasion, and that is where the cracks show the most. The communication is poor, rooms aren't set up to specifications before you arrive, you have to hunt down AV needs and chairs yourself in the early morning hours because no one is there unless a big group booked the ball rooms. Emails are sometimes not returned, to which you are blamed and communication about closing out invoices are aggravating, because they don't email them ASAP, clarification on final count on paying for parking passes for your guests are never really communicated to you and you are told that you should've told your banquet captain etc. I'm not exactly thrilled with the level of service provided here. They could do better but apparently they feel they're doing fine. read more
