First time experience at this club. My good friend Danielle described it as being like the LA club…read moreGood Times At Davey Waynes and it was similar in that it was a very vibrant scene. Lots of great music to dance to and in general, a fairly young good looking crowd, but there was a mixture of age as it's a friendly welcoming place. I was there with several friends and we had a wonderful time. We easily found a table ordered our drinks. Our server was pretty attentive. Beware as a dance floor does get quite crowded so you have to be up for dealing with lots of people bumping into each other but it's really a lot of fun if you can get past that one reassuring thing is Atlanta police car parked right outside the establishment since they do not want any trouble and that's a good way to deter it. I would love to come back just cause I love dancing and this is a great place to go dancing.

The bartenders unfortunately made it not a fun experience. They had a mean girl energy to them. There was no one really there but they kept rushing my friends to order drinks/food. The bouncers were cool though. They also don't want you taking any videos in there and will come up to you and look over your shoulder if you take out your fun. That rule is pretty reasonable but how they enforce can come off a bit aggressive.

Find the doors on the side of Chido Padres with a picture of two animals on the door windows. (Check pictures) Free parking lot! We got two drinks: Silent Night Margarita and Hung by the Fireside. Our total was $71.60 with tax for 4 drinks. Each drink was about $16. Pros Loved the decor and the drinks were great! Not too much juice and just enough alcohol. Cons $16 a drink can rack up pretty quickly if you're a heavy drinker. Would I Recommend: Yes! Based on the drinks I would definitely recommend this place. We tried a few cocktails and some shots, and everything was smooth, balanced, and honestly way too easy to sip. You can tell they take pride in their bar program. On top of that, the cowboy theme makes the whole experience even better. From the décor to the music, the space feels playful and immersive without being over the top -- like stepping into a Western saloon but with a modern, classy twist. Perfect for a night out with friends when you want great drinks and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile.

Update: Big shoutout to My Parents' Basement for truly…read morelistening and taking swift action. They've committed to removing the Harry Potter pinball machine and showed that they're willing to listen, grow, and stand by their community. It means so much to see a space not just say they're inclusive, but actually live it. I seriously appreciate it and can't wait to be back. Original: I've been a huge fan of My Parents' Basement for a long time. The food is incredible, the beer list is excellent, the pinball lineup is (usually) fantastic, and the whole vibe is such a great haven for nerdy folks like me. It's one of the few places where I've genuinely felt at home -- where I believed I could show up fully as myself. That's why this hurts so much to write. MPB proudly positions itself as an inclusive, safe space -- "All Are Welcome" is literally part of the mural on the wall. But recently, they installed a Harry Potter pinball machine, and as a trans person, this felt like a deep betrayal. The creator of that franchise continues to use the wealth and platform built by those products to actively harm trans people. Every sale, every license, every new machine feeds into that system. This isn't a theoretical harm -- this is material. It funds the people working to take away our rights and our safety. It's hard to describe the heartbreak of walking into what's supposed to be a safe space and seeing that machine. It sends a message, whether intentionally or not, that some of us don't matter as much when profit or popularity are on the line. I'm sharing this not to tear MPB down -- I love this place, and I want to believe in it. I want to believe that they care about the safety and dignity of all their patrons, not just in words but in action. I hope they'll reconsider this decision. I genuinely hope they'll listen. Until then, I can't keep coming back. And that breaks my heart.

Help yourself with water & flatware, napkins, condiments etc. Very casual. We ordered the shrimp & grits for me, and a burger for the hubby. He loved his burger, very good portions, his side salad was fresh and also good sized. His burger tall, generous ingredients inside - tomato, onions, 2 slices of pickles on top. What's most important was that this burger did not fall apart when biting into it. Especially so difficult to achieve for a tall burger. My grits were good texture, I didn't like that the grits were very salty, something must have gone wrong in the kitchen. The shrimp were also salty on top of that, there were cheese. My entire dish was so salty, I drank 3 tall cups of water and was full halfway through my grits but I didn't want to take it home cos I know I wouldn't finish it when brought home. I hope they fix the level of salt otherwise, I love the consistency and texture - has some bite to the grits.
