Dillan is the weirdest person I have had the misfortune of dealing with in a car repair situation. He briefly got the battery started (didn't say to keep it running). Said because he couldn't perform a battery diagnostic that he couldn't replace the battery. He said that failing to perform a diagnostic would be like HAVING SEX WITHOUT A CONDOM. I told him I just wanted a new battery and didn't really care if the car stopped working/my husband had to pull over. He said maybe I should work on my marriage. Here's a familiar scene for all car drivers...... when you go out to your car in the morning, and it doesn't start, all you care about is getting the darn thing started, fixed, whatever, and being able to get to work on time. I don't know about you, but I'm not thinking about who specifically is coming out to help, but I am thinking about how long will it take and when will he get here. I have to say that Swink's Towing truly saved the day, and because of their amazing service, I WILL be thinking of WHO is coming out, and I do hope AAA will call them again on my behalf. While I don't want anymore car issues, we all know it's going to happen. Like death and taxes. It's going to happen. AAA told me it'd be about an hour till a towing service would arrive (rush hour, of course), but Swink's pulled up in a record 15 minutes. Whaaaaat? Jeremy was the driver, immediately diagnosed the problem as being my battery, and 10 minutes later, I had a new battery, and I was ready to go. Jeremy was awesome and was all about getting the job done efficiently and timely. Loved that. I asked if she has a number for the non contracted AAA department and she said i dont know and hung up on me. This place is a joke. The mechanic showed up and installed my battery incorrectly. I spoke with the manager, who was also very rude, and they stood by the mechanics work, even though he did not do it correctly. He failed to reconnect all the terminals to the battery, leaving one of the terminals that control the engine fan. When the fan did not turn on, the car became over heated. Dylan was not capable of changing the battery and left after throwing a hissy fit and left the car with more issues than originally had. I would hate for them to touch any car with any worse issue as they are not even competent on a batter change. Stay away from this place by all means. read more

WOMEN PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! Swinks left me in a parking lot for over 4 hours alone and committed fraud in the process. I called AAA for a tow and Swinks was dispatched with an original ETA of an hour. The dispatcher from Swinks called me to say that there was an accident and it required them to send two trucks out for cleanup so it would be about another hour. The tow truck never showed up to my location. I could see him parked just sitting so I called Swinks and asked if the driver was having trouble finding me. I was put on hold for ten minutes and in that time, the driver drove off. The dispatcher gets back on the line and starts going off about how the driver tried to call me five times and had the wrong address so he closed out the call. No one ever called me. The only call I received was about the delay an hour prior. So I know they had my number and were able to call me so they lied about trying to call me when they couldn't find me. Also it is the dispatcher that calls the member, not the driver. The driver did however change the code for the call to a lockout and my AAA was charged and they were paid for a lockout. My keys were with me and I was in my broken vehicle, the alternator died which is why I needed a tow. This is FRAUD. I called AAA who made a series of errors themselves. I told them what happened, they apologized and were shocked about what happened. So I requested a different company and was told a truck would be out soon. They made a mistake and dispatched Swinks a second time. Swinks didn't take the call and just let me sit there alone in the middle of the night. So as I sat there waiting for help to come, none was coming. I ended up not feeling safe and feeling like my car wasn't safe either so I had to jump my vehicle. When your alternator is out, you can blow your electrical when you jump it. Swinks left me with no choice after four hours. I needed to get home to my children. I had no access to food, water, a bathroom, or my medication. I began to have an asthma attack and needed help which never came. The jump start ended up damaging my electrical. I'm aware the company was sold but with a police, CHP, and sheriff contract you cannot be leaving women stranded at night and commit fraud with AAA. The new owners clearly do not have the standards of the past ownership and I find this whole situation disturbing and unacceptable. My car is now damaged and I had to get myself home. Do better Swinks! I hope you see this Coleen and try to get some better employees. AAA will be investigating this scam. read more

They came and picked up my WRX from in front of my house, when I came to get it, the underside of the car was scraping heavily and the steering didn't work( car was swerving off the road.) I had to go 10mph home with hazards. When I got home I found a bent tie rod and a few other broken steering components. When confronted about the damage, they told me too bad. I also have a picture of the paint from their tow hook on a few components, including the tie rod. This is not how you grab a car. The receptionist is a b****, I got into a motorcycle accident yesterday and got charged $335 for the towing and storage for 24 hours. My bike was only a mile past Yosemite and yet they still charged me over $200 for towing 3 miles. I didn't even call the towing company, someone else did. Today as I was trying to pay to get my bike out of the lot, I was sitting in the car parked because I can barely move when my friends tried to go to the front with my ID and registration but no the receptionist demanded I get out of the car and hobble over to the front desk when I'm clearly in a lot of pain. She could of came over to the car for proof that it was me trying to get my bike out. She was so rude and told the tow drivers not to assist when trying to load my bike in the back of my friend's truck. I wouldn't recommend this towing company. read more

Lost my truck by dropping it off at the wrong place then tried to blame AAA. Calling to find out what happened and why ill be paying an extra day of car rental made them angry with me. They did say to send the invoice if adding the extra day would kill me. Also my wife had to show them a video about how to put it in neutral... I get it, i had to look it up also but the driver couldnt do that? If it was the drivers first day like they said maybe they should use the buddy system for a week to learn how to read an address and look stuff up on their phones. No matter one woman on the phone told me "they will get there when they get there" and a CHP officer actually had to take my phone and demand an actual eta for the tow truck, once the chp got on the phone the details couldn't be more free flowing but if your a customer.... you couldn't be more annoying. Same treatment when the guy comes he is non communicative and acts like you are speaking another language/ ignored most things I said to him. You all suck! Why would I call you to provide any information. To prove that I was a customer?!? It wasn't just lack of eta lol it was entire disrespectful and hostile attitude that this whole company has. I had my car towed because it had sat on the street too long and I guess it's a law you can't be parked over 72 hours (didn't know this). I found out Swinks had my car and went to pick it up. It's about a mile and half from my house and the tow was $215. I asked why so much and they said they have a flat rate for SVPD tows. I feel like this is a scam and they know that people will pay because there car is now basically held hostage. Next time when I need a tow I will call one of the other companies in the area. read more

This company is contracted out by AAA and they were sent to me this morning as I needed a new battery and I even told the dispatcher to make sure the driver has a battery and provided the make and model if my car. Driver gets here were open the hood t driver tests the connections as the battery is in the trunk and he says battery is good and just needs to be jumped, the battery is 3 years old and has been sitting without being started fir 3 months when it died, ge said that didn't matter I started ut and he left it wasn't right as the and I turned it off after about 20 minutes and could not start it again, as I knew I needed a new battery. This driver either did want to do it because it was to hard for him or he just did not know how to do it. I called their dispatch and complained about the driver they said they would look into it, I got called back by a different dispatcher and she said the driver said he told me that they do not change batteries on my tube of car and that only the dealership can do it,vi told her ge was lying and u was frustrated I asked for the drivers name she rudely said no and hung up. If you have a hybrid car or plug in hybrid car that also runs on gas Swinks will not change your battery according to their dispatcher, stay away from these guts at all costs. I called AAA and made a complaint about this company and told them what happened and they needed to send someone that is not Swinks so they dud it took a little bit but when this driver from a greatvtow company tested the battery, the battery had no charge at all just lime I thought, and this new driver from another company had no problem changing my battery so now my car starts perfectly and u can lock my doors and everything is perfect. Wife had a dead battery one day called AAA they care out installed new battery in the process left a nice dent on my car right side fender right where battery is located. Called spoke with manager he said " well my guy says your wife set the baby on the fender " 1. Black car that had been sitting for 45 minutes in the sun while she waited 2. He's 20 pounds 3. She'd never do that because it would hurt the baby. Own up to your mistakes and don't lie about you damaging a car! Don't use them or you run the risk of damage and rude managers!! read more

BEWARE... Do not give your drivers license to the drivers of the tow trucks. New policy is that they have to scan them. Well he never returned mine after the service and when I called the yard all they could do is tell me that he said he gave it back to me which he did not. I have to travel and now cannot because I have no drivers license. DMV takes 3-4 weeks to replace a license. I will be making a formal complaint with AAA and will be filing a police report. read more
