If I could give them a zero rating, I would. I called back and spoke to Tommy notifying him that my pool was not cleaned or balanced correctly. He had the audacity to ask me if I went back behind them to backwash the pool..AFTER they already charged me almost $500 for a very poorly done job. He then said if he comes back out to correct the job that wasn't done in the first place that he would charge me again. I'm gonna dispute this every way that I can. DO NOT work with this company. This company did a terrible job cleaning/maintaining our pool. We had them do a green to clean in Jan and again in March and then started weekly cleanings at the end of March. The pool was not well cleaned during the second green to clean. I called each week to let them know that the bottom of our pool was still brown and the water was not clear and every week I got an excuse and a promise it would be handled. When the pool was still not clean in May I decided to double check that the work was being done as they stated. when I checked I was shocked that they were not doing almost anything they were charging me for. They were even claiming they backwashed my filters which is impossible to do with cartridge filters. I gave them one more chance this week understanding that it is a busy season and they came once and did not get it clean and said it was all because we need new cartridge filters which they wanted $1,200-1,600 to replace (I will admit it is time to get new ones but this was not the primary source of the problem.) I took the water somewhere else to get a second opinion and the chlorine was 0 even with the pump running 24/7 @100% the new company had me come home and trouble shoot and the actual problem was that the salt cell was not being cleaned and the pool was not making chlorine. So I was paying to have the pool cleaned and maintained and told over and over it wasn't on them when the truth was they weren't doing what they were being paid to do. Bought a new spa from them. The spa itself was delivered quickly, however, the cover (top) was not. Six weeks after buying the spa I still don't have the cover. The water is now dirty as debris keep getting in and the heat escapes quickly. They have promised me on numerous occasions that it will be here any day, but any day keeps getting pushed out. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! First off, they couldn't get my pool even close to clean. We cancelled our service because their inability to clean our pool. They then charged $1200 to my account without telling me and will not refund money even though they can't explain why they charged me. I am not happy about writing a negative review, but this is a special circumstance (see my conclusion and recommendation at the end). I returned home after a week-long trip in February and found my pool pump motor and the cleaner motor would not run. SPS had installed a new main motor for us last year and it was still in warranty. So, without performing any real troubleshooting, SPS replaced the main motor, assuming it was the cause of the problem. As they prepared to leave, they found that the motors would still not run; they concluded that I had a bad circuit breaker and advised me to call an electrician. So, I did, and surely enough the breaker needed replacement. After the breaker was replaced, the main motor still would not run but the cleaner motor would run now. To troubleshoot the problem, the technician from the electrical company removed the cover of the newly installed motor to inspect the electrical connections. The electrician was flabbergasted to discover that one phase of the electrical supply service was left floating inside the motor housing. He attempted to properly terminate that phase but found that the screw receptacle where the wire was to be attached was stripped so that the screw could not be tightened to make a secure electrical connection. It was unthinkable that SPS would leave an electrical service wire floating inside the motor housing after being unable to tie it down securely. This could have been a disaster for unsuspecting pool users if the bare-ended wire had come into contact with certain other conducting material. SPS was too oblivious to even cover the bare-ended wire with a wire nut! While documenting this with photos, I called SPS services and asked that they deliver a motor to replace the one with the stripped screw socket. I advised SPS that I would have the electrical connections to the replacement motor attached at my own expense because I had lost confidence in the electrical competence of SPS. They eventually delivered the supposedly-new motor in a ragged box and I had the technician from the electrical company return to install it. This motor was dead out of the box and it over-heated immediately when electrical energy was applied to start the motor. Now, let me summarize this convoluted saga before my conclusion and recommendation. I started with a less-than-one-year-old motor (motor #1) which was not running due to a circuit breaker problem. SPS hastily replaced motor #1 with motor #2. They botched the electrical screw terminal of motor #2, left it improperly installed and VERY unsafe and carted off my practically new motor #1. SPS eventually delivered a supposedly-new motor #3 which was dead out of the ragged box and then carted off botched motor #2. This saga has continued from February until now (April) and my pool is still not operating. So, I advised SPS to remove me from their work manifest. Subsequently, I ordered a new motor (motor #4) from a reputable swimming pool supply company locally. Motor #4 just arrived at my premises and I have an appointment scheduled for the electrical company to install the new motor #4. Incidentally motor #4 was handed to me in an obviously new and sealed box, unlike the flawed products that SPS provided (photos available). SPS has seemingly prevailed in this episode - they have minimized their own expense and effort and I have incurred large expenses to recover from the incompetence of SPS. So, my conclusion is that if you engage SPS, you will likely experience poor responsiveness, incompetent service and unnecessary expense, as I have. BUT, the overriding consideration here is SAFETY! We have lived here and used this very pool for 25 years this month. Throughout this saga with SPS, I have thought of all the kids who have played to exhaustion, going off the diving board and playing Marco Polo. So, my recommendation is that you should be extremely cautious about letting SPS work with anything involving electricity at your house. SPS is at high risk of causing someone to be ELECTROCUTED, either their own employees or YOUR pool users. read more

Horrible establishment, they don't call when they are supposed to, the work they do is subpar compared to other local companies. Do yourself a favor and move on. They check your chemicals but they definitely aren't what they need to be most of the time 100% not safe. Most of the crew they have aren't even certified, the ones that are are given the answers anyway. The owners love and passion for the company is deteriorating everyday. I was very disappointed with the closing of my pool with this company. It was extremely green when it was opened the following season and they did not make things right and offer to fix their mistake. This company also tended to charge for services that I did not approve after I had asked them to please clear any additonal services with me. I would not recommend them. read more

Bought a new house close by and had them inspect the pool before the process. They helped give me, a fist time pool owner, great direction to what I should do. Basically I had to use Swamp to swim to get it back to standard. They also were able to do a great job at installing Hayward salt water system and changed out my sand filter, gauges, etc... They closed my pool last fall and did an excellent job. Proper chemicals were added to prevent algae growing over winter. When it was time to reopen this year they uncovered and the pool looked as if it had never been closed, it looked amazing. They have everything you need for your pool or will help figure out what you need. Every person in their staff has been friendly every time I stop in or when they have stopped by. They do offer free water testing that tells you exactly what you need to add to your pool. I would recommend this company! read more

Used them one time before immediately discontinuing the service as the technicians who cleaned our pool did shoddy work and were irresponsible.A series of actions endangered our pets and our pool: 1) Even after explicit discussion with the two technicians to close all the gates to prevent our dogs from running out into the woods, they left a series of gates open. 2) They mentioned that pool pump was making noise and suggested one of their technicians visit, check it and replace it. I was surprised as a superb pool person had within the week put in a new pool heater and had not mentioned a problem with the pump. 3) They left the pump basket open and the water drained. Thus, there was no flow to the pool. Without flow to the heater, the pool started to cool. After talking with an expert who has cared for our pool equipment for more than 15 years and knows pool equipment inside and out, he commented "their actions were bizarre. Either they did it intentionally or they were morons". 4) When a technician visited today to right the situation with the pump and the flow, he mentioned several inconsequential items needing fixing. 5) His style and that the other technicians had the smell of an upsell aimed at consumers who could not detect scents and lacked common sense. read more
