This review is important for all homeowners, especially those who rely on a company's expertise and integrity. As a single woman, I depend on professionals to provide honest assessments and quality workmanship. I have used this company several times over the past 20-25 years, and unfortunately, this experience showed me how much some companies have changed and no longer take pride in their work. I contacted Hinkle to reattach my gutters after a roofer had pulled on them. They came out and installed gutter nails, which did stop water from draining behind the gutters. However, there was an obvious rotten piece of wood that was visible during the repair. It was never mentioned to me. Just two days after the work was completed, I noticed the damage and called them. I was told they did not address it because they were only focused on the gutters. While I understand that replacing the wood may have been outside the scope of the original job, I believe it should have at least been brought to my attention as a homeowner. I was told someone would call me back regarding the repair, but to this day, I have never received a call. Customer service and communication mean everything. If a company does not stand behind its work or value its customers, it reflects poorly on the company as a whole. read more

Very knowledgeable sales guy came out(Jase), took measurements, and was able to give me a prompt quote at a reasonable price. They have some cool technology that gets precise measurements too. Terrible customer service. They don't return phone calls or answer emails. I continually had to contact them for updates as to when my roof work might begin. The actual work was down by contractors they subbed the work to, not a "company crew ". I do not recommend them. read more

I have been promised a quote by the Hinkle representative for 8 Weeks. I have followed up multiple times to receive absolutely no response. While I can not comment on Hinkle Roofing quality, they are non responsive and I would not recommend you waste your time with Hinkle. read more

I never write reviews, but, I felt the need to write a review on Hinkle Roofing...I solicited services from Hinkle beginning in 11/2018 (before the Thanksgiving Holiday), I had a Mr. King to come out to complete an evaluation on a leak in the roof of my home, I was told that I needed a new roof. Per my home owners insurance evaluation, the leak was due to a warn out, improperly sized fireplace cap on the chimney. So I called Hinkle (Mr. King) back to inquire about such repair/replacement. I was told that a contractor (supervisor Chris Stallings) would come out, evaluate and get me a summary of repairs to include pricing). Now I specifically requested of both persons to provide me with a time of availability of the services being rendered as I wanted the contractor (worker) to complete a walk through inside my home so that I can show them exactly where the leaks are (in order to ensure that all things are being repaired at the same time). I was told that I would be notified and that the contractor would do so. However, this did not occur and I received a call from Jeremiah (about 2 weeks after, my initial call and after calls upon calls (to include voicemail messages) to C. Stallings to inquire about a service date and time) stating that he was at my home with the fireplace cap to install. I reluctantly agreed (even though no one had been in the home to observe the extent of the leak) for services to be rendered due to the fact that it had continued to rain continuously and leak rain water inside of my home. The repairs/replacement for the fire place cap was $650. I was told that I also had visible issues with shingles around the area and this would need to be repaired for an additional $545. Due to this being a bit more that I could afford at the time, I informed the contractor that I would call when I could afford the repairs. Some weeks later I called to inquire about the repairs needed, but asked if the contractor could come out to the home before I agree to services being rendered in order to walk through the home to observe how the repairs (on the outside of the home) could be effecting the inside of the home. A Mr. Gordon came to the home within the following week of the call and observed the need for repairs. He stated that he would speak with C. Stallings and someone would call to schedule services. This has been since 01/21/2019. It is now 02/11/2019 and I still have not received a return call from Hinkle to schedule an appointment about the repairs. However, I did receive a call from Mr. Gordon on 2/11/2019 (today) stating that he was from Hinkle Roofing, but stated that he had the wrong number. Even though, I am satisfied with the fire pan repair (replacement), I am totally dissatisfied with the customer services received from the supervisors etc....I give them a total of 2 stars. Timely services and verbal agreements are everything when in terms of return customers.....Very disappointed. read more

Bob Baker and his employees have been amazing. They were prompt, professional and fixed our leak. They also noticed a problem with our chimney and helped us find someone to fix that. Would recommend them to anyone. read more

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!! In August 2018, my husband contacted Hinkle Roofing for a quote to install a metal roof. A representative came out to conduct an evaluation and take measurements. A proposal with a quote was received around August 9th/10th. My husband accepted, signed, and returned the proposal on August 27, 2018. Nothing else was heard from Hinkle regarding when the work would start. Numerous calls were made to Mr. Larry Arnold with no call back. Finally got a response after several weeks stating the reason for the delay was that the roof could not be installed unless the temperature was at least 40 degrees. There were numerous days between August 27, 2018 and when the return call was received that the temperature was way above 40 degrees! After waiting several weeks, my husband contacted Mr. Arnold to inquire about when the work would start; he was told the following week. Contractors (don't think they were Hinkle employees) came out and installed the roof; took 2 days. Note, no one from Hinkle came out to conduct an inspection after the work was completed. No call regarding our satisfaction, concerns, questions.....nothing. However, we were invoiced a week after completion and payment was submitted on December 17, 2018. Our problem now is the workmanship of the roof. On January 22, 2019, doing severe weather with heavy winds, I heard a vibrating sound. I stood in my living room and realized it was the roof. Evidently the roof was not secured enough and wind was getting under the metal and causing it to vibrate. Hinkle was contacted several times between January 22, 2019 and February 20, 2019. They were called again today (February 25, 2019); no answer. Messages have been left with the receptionist (or whomever she is) for Mr. Arnold with the assurance that she would get the message to him; no return call. As of this date, February 25, 2019, there have been no return calls; we are still waiting to hear from them. Our concern is that with all of the rain we have been having, with the metal roof not being secure, water will eventfully damage the underlying roof, seep into the attic, and damage the ceiling and thereby the furniture in that area. We do not recommend Hinkle Roofing to anyone considering a replacement roof.....shingles or metal!!!!!!!!!! read more
