I was eating at McDonald's at 26671 Valley Center Drive…read more My car was mistakenly towed when the manager called your company to remove the cars from their customer lot that did not belong there. That is well within their rights. These employees, however, never bothered to ask the paying customers which cars belonged to them, and MY car got towed while I was eating. I walked out to see my car on the flat bed truck, and with everyone yelling at the driver and me repeatedly pressing the button on my key fob to trigger the alarm beep, he refused to stop. The McDonald's manager called him back, telling him the car was towed by mistake. When he brought the car back, he wanted ME to pay $165 to take it off the truck. Now in what universe would I pay $165 for my car being towed from the spot it belonged in? The car was never supposed to be towed. I was eating in the restaurant and parked in the restaurant's parking lot. I am not paying for that. I did nothing to cause this situation. When I refused to pay, he said I could WALK to the tow place and settle it there, still expecting me to pay. So that's when the word MOTHERFUCKER came out of my mouth, with my full chest, because where does he get the nerve to ask me to pay for something that I am the victim of? He then refused to take the car down and started to drive off with it. I got the manager of the McDonald's and STOOD IN FRONT OF THE TRUCK to stop him. This fool had be barricading a semi truck with my body, HE made a mistake. The McDonald's MANAGER made a mistake. If there is $165 on the line, that's between THEM. NOT ME. He was NOT leaving there with my car, and he should have acknowledged the misunderstanding and settled up the money with McDonald's, which I hope he charged her. Because costly mistakes are less likely to be repeated- she deserves to pay for it. Anyway, get a handle on your driver's ego and tell him to take in the situation as it comes. If he makes a mistake, HE fixes the mistake. If my car would have ended up at your tow lot you'd be getting this message from a lawyer instead of me. Fix his issues. Ridiculous and unprofessional scam sharks.

I will be filing a case against these guys. We live in a private community. It is a gated community…read morewith a private lane. This towing company has access to our gate and they know the gate code. They are currently authorized to tow cars ONLY when they receive a complaint or receive a phone call from the home owners from the community. However, they broke this agreement and are making rounds every night with an intention to tow away cars. They make unauthorized rounds every night looking for cars parked in front of the garage and tow them away. They charge arm and leg to the owners to get their car back from thetowingv yard. And if the towing is over the weekend (Friday - Sunday), then this towing company charge the car owners double the amount for relasing the car. One of the owner's 2 cars were towed on the same night. The owner normally parks the cars inside his garage. He was cleaning his garage and hence on that particular night, he had parked his cars right outside his garage. His house is in a cul de sac and his house is the last house in the community. Therefore, him parking the car does not trouble any other home owners nor does it impede any traffic on the private lane. This towing company towed away both his cars between 1:30 AM - 2:00 AM Pacific time on Saturday early morning. The owner had to go to the towing company's yard at 8:45 AM Pacific Time, the same morning to release the cars. He had to Pay $547.50 per car. That's a total of $1095 cars for releasing both own cars that were parked in front of his garage, not disturbing or causing a problem to anybody else in the community nor the traffic on the private lane. And the cars were in towing company's yard for barely 7 hours. This is atrotious and EXTORTION. First and foremost, this towing company opening the gate and driving on a private lane without an authorized call from the community home owners is ILLEGAL. They come with an ill-intent to tow away cars and hence it is TRESPASSING and towing away the cars without warning or notifying the owners is THEFT. They deserve to be reported to the law.

Today, we had an extremely unpleasant towing experience with Marcos, and I would not recommend…read moreAction Towing because of it. My wife got a flat tire in San Gabriel, and ordered a tow through AAA. A while later, we get a call from the tow driver, Marcos, who said he was at the location. My wife told him she did not see him, and that on the map that AAA provided, he was down the street. Marcos then berated my wife telling her that she gave the wrong address and that she needs to be careful and more specific when entering the location, and that we were in a different city from the address listed. Mind you, AAA is the one that provides the location and provides a map, and the address he was at was not even 5 minutes down the road. Accusing your customer of entering the wrong address is very unprofessional, and it was something we didn't even do. A few minutes later and Marcos arrives at our location, and said that "AAA gave him the wrong address," and asks us if we have a spare, we say no. (We received this car from a family member, and they told us we didn't have a spare). Marcos proceeds to drive the car on the bed of the truck, scraping our front bumper on the bed of the tow truck. My wife and I leave for the tire store in a separate vehicle and arrive there before Marcos. Marcos drove the car down off the truck, again scraping the bumper of the car on the tow bed, and proceeds to tell us that we did have a spare and to "not trick the driver." Mind you, we did not know we have a spare, and it means he opened our trunk without our permission. There was literally no reason for him to do this, and again demonstrates how unprofessional Marcos was. I opened the trunk of my wife's car, and sure enough, items were moved to the side indicating that someone moved the items in the back of our trunk to check for the spare. I have to ask, what would we even gain by "tricking" the tow driver to say we didn't have a spare tire? Why did he feel the need to open the trunk without our permission? In short, Marcos was unprofessional, accusatory, invaded our privacy, and did not treat us, nor our vehicle with respect. I would absolutely NOT recommend Action Towing, and I think AAA should end their partnership with them.
