The driver was so excellent and courteous, but the owner which is at dispatcher was so rude and took an hour and a half to give me a driver and trying to tell me don't get mad. These guys were sent to me through AAA. Early morning around 6:10am. Got a text eta arrival 7:10am. Received a message saying they were there. Never showed. Never called. They then cancelled the call saying I never answered my phone. Mind you, received zero calls. Called the company dispatcher said they would connect me to the driver, phone rang and then hung up. As many other reviews have stated, this company is a scam. AAA assigned them to me for about a 2 mile tow (flat tire.) Got a text update they were on their way, then a few minutes later a text that it was completed, but they never even showed. I called back AAA and they reached out to the towers, who then claimed they couldn't find me. BS. I had provided my gate code and phone number and my building is labeled. Thankfully AAA called a second provider who showed up timely and provided great service. I recommended to AAA that they cancel their contract with this tow company. They are part of the AAA Roadside Assistance. My battery lost charge and Austin from Rowlett Towing came to assist me. I was pleased to see how fast he came. He charged the battery and everything seems to be back on track but the battery was really not good so it died again. I called Austin and told him that it was better to just get a new battery. Again, he came in less than 20 minutes and changed the battery. Really a great guy, friendly, professional and efficient. read more

Scammers. Liars. Had me waiting on the fwy shoulder for nearly 4 hours. My transmission gave out and was stuck in limp mode, with grinding noises while in Drive. I've also been a mechanic for nearly 17 years who can clearly diagnose this issue. It was safer to tow it than to try and baby it to a location off of the hwy which I ultimately had to do after waiting. Ended up a couple miles near Koreatown when the transmission completely said goodbye. Called AAA again and their tow truck showed up in 8 minutes. Yes. EIGHT MINUTES. Mind blowing. Pisses me off that shady businesses like these exist. These guys kept lying to AAA that they were on their way, when they never planned on showing up. AAA then calls back after 3 hours of receiving messages and said Rowlett Towing has started ignoring their agents' calls. My car was stopped only 2 miles away from their business location in Burbank. Do yourself a favor and ask AAA to send a truck from a different company if you need a tow. read more

Sal was phenomenal and actually brought my car back to drivable which canceled my need for towing. He showed up quickly and with a platform truck which is always extra appreciated. He suggested i take it to the shop for a proper repair. He also called me afterwards to make sure I had made it. Superb customer service. I highly encourage you not to use this company, whether as a member of AAA, like I was, or just someone seeking a tow truck. My experience was not only disappointing, but it was a bit shocking when dealing with the lunatic who owns/runs this company... crass, dishonest, and completely unprofessional. On 11/13/24 I went to start my car and my battery was completely dead. I immediately called AAA to have a truck sent out, not for a start, but a battery replacement since I knew it would need that. Initially, I was told something like 45 minutes, but then received an update from AAA, that a closer truck was available and would be there momentarily... little did I know that this would cost me more time and money in the long run. The tow truck, from Rowlett Tow (131 E Providencia Ave Burbank, CA 91502), arrived with Scotty Contreras as the driver. He immediately got to work, but quickly determined that I'd need a new battery. Which I knew already. Scotty informed me at that point that even though he had responded to a call for a battery... and that he responded to that call knowing the make and model of my vehicle, apparently he did so, knowing he did not in fact have a battery to do the job. So what was I going to do at that point? Wait longer. Which is what I had to do after Scotty called for another truck from his company to come by with the battery I needed. Easily another 40min or so later the truck finally arrived... and to Scotty's credit, he quickly got to work putting the new battery in. I was sitting inside the car as I waited, and as he did, I heard what sounded like, an unusual sound... him slamming the battery in. Or more accurately, trying to get it in, I guess, quickly. I figured, whatever, he was just in rush. A few minutes later I was pulling away, and a second after that, my check engine light came on. I knew, without doubt, it was because of what had just happened. I continued on with my day, knowing nothing was at risk for the car, but did take the car to my trusted mechanic later that day. In the meantime I made contact with AAA and also Rowlett Tow. I don't know the name of the man there, which is unfortunate because he was dreadful, but he did identify himself as the manager or owner. Basically he was in charge. I explained the situation to him, because AAA requires that you give the vendor the ability to "make it right" which is ultimately so AAA doesn't have responsibility or have to do anything (I'm not naive) but his company is a TOW company not a MECHANIC. Regardless, I told him I was getting what was broke, the air temperature connector, and a quote from my mechanic. He was OK, in this initial conversation. Suspicious, and already denying things he didn't have any right or knowledge of, but fine... for the record, I was also SUPER CHILL. I knew Scotty broke it, I also assumed it was an accident. Life is too short to freak out... we all make mistakes, just own it, and also don't browbeat people when they do. So I wasn't worried. The owner had said he would call Scotty and do research, at that point I knew what part had broke, but didn't have a quote yet... An hour or so the owner called back and said something to the effect of, he had found the part online, and it was $14 or something. He also said Scotty said he hadn't broke it, not surprising, we don't live in a society where people own or even can own their mistakes, and I again said calmly, OK, but I hadn't heard from my mechanic yet, so I didn't know what it would cost.... Labor, etc...And I am NOT exaggerating, but he literally became irate and started literally yelling at me, F word, the works! And I'm like.... Screw this, I don't have to listen to this crap, and told him so, and hung up. By the way, the final cost to replace and repair item, was $215.02 with labor. So this guy, freaked out, yelled at me, was disrespectful and unprofessional and made me jump through the hoops with AAA, which I did, to get, $215.02 back. No great conspiracy. No scam or attempt to cheat him. Two hundred bucks, and now that I've received my check from AAA reimbursing me, I'm here, writing this review and encouraging you reader, to NEVER, EVER use this business. I hope they go out of business, because I think we should believe people when they show you who they are. read more

As the other reviews mention, this place is unprofessional, does not care about providing timely customer service. After waiting an hour longer than the ETA, AAA was not able to provide info because the driver did not turn on his "tracking." So I called to see if there was a more detailed ETA, and the employee who refused to provide his name (AAA later informed me it is "Alex" however I found out later that was made up) was so aggressive and condescending, and would not stop talking. Some examples: "He'll get there when he gets there", "it'll be an hour, two hours, I don't know" "Maybe I'll just cancel the service call, how about that?" "If you knew this area, you would know..." I've lived here my whole life. You should learn humility and how to speak to customers. Souren was knowledgeable, and one thing I'd like to highlight is that Souren was prepared for any issue. He had everything on his truck so that my issue was resolved fast. I requested a tow from AAA and I was assigned Rowlett Towing. Absolutely horrible experience; literally use any other towing company at all costs. Eddie was the tow truck driver; he was rude and unprofessional. Eddie called when he was already at the location of my car and was irritated that I was not there. He asked multiple times how far away I was (5 minutes). He asked for the address of where the car was going (which he should have already had) and demanded to know the city it was going to (Los Angeles). When I responded the city was Los Angeles and gave him the zip code again he was extremely rude and said multiple times: "LA is a big city, what city is the car going to......." Gave him the zip code again and he said that wasn't helpful. I gave him the neighborhood, which wasn't helpful to him and when he asked what freeway the address was off of I told him the 10. Apparently that was a better reference, even though the 10 freeway crosses multiple US states and many miles in LA...Eddie cut me off to the point I had to speak over him. Unsurprisingly, when I called Rowlett Towing to confirm they had my service call, the man I spoke to was also not professional and originally said he didn't see my car in his system. Our neighbor decided to use Rowlett Towing. Unfortunately for me, they did a hit-and-run on my house. Not only did they not simply knock on my door and own the damage, but when we contacted them, they said it didn't happen and asked for pictures- we've been ignored since then. The reason they deserve this review is if they're willing to risk the consequences of a hit-and-run, I wouldn't want them near my vehicle if I need a tow. Call someone who understands honesty backed up by insurance is how most people expect businesses to operate. My favorite picture is when they actually hit the house. The expression on the guide's face is priceless. They go silent after that, clearly knowing what happened and trying to play it off like it didn't happen. read more

I would recommend Rowlett Towing to everyone. My car stopped starting in the middle of the day and the engine wouldn't even crank. I had 3 people try to jump me with no success. Sal drove out to me and he went above and beyond with great service. He tried every which way to jump my car and would not give up. He eventually got my car to start! My car was having some issues with the alternator, but Sal followed me on the freeway to make sure that my car didn't break down and told me to call him again if anything happened and he would come and help me. read more

This company does not value your time, do not use them. AAA connected me to them to tow my car from 7-8am. I called AAA at 750am for an update, apparently they were down a truck so my request was delayed. I was told Felipe would be out within an hour. I call AAA again at 915am, the tow truck allegedly drove to the address I provided, said they didn't see my car on the street or a person.. lmao, why would I be standing on the street waiting for a tow truck that is over an hour late? They did not attempt to call me or call AAA to get a hold of me. Sounds mad sus. Please come up with a better lie. I didn't use them for towing but coming to make a review based off an interaction with a driver. I was lost trying to find a place. I was in a parking lot trying to figure it out. My car was pulled in front of Teo empty parking spots. The whole parking lot was empty, this driver decides he needs to pull into one of the parking spots I'm in front of instead of the hundred open next to it. He almost hits my car then starts cussing at me. He didn't have or need to park there and doesn't know what was happing he could have pulled into another spot. Sal and Michael from Rowlett Towing is a life saver. They are super awesome. I was told by another towing company that I had to wait 2 hours to get my Honda Pilot tow. Rowlett Towing came to the rescue in 15 minutes. I was so frustrated, and stressed out. I felt so relieved, and I was so glad to see them when they showed up. I was at Universal Studios with my family. I turned on my car but it shut off with the engine light on. I don't know what was the cause of it. But this happen to me the first time. I'm so glad Rowlett Towing showed up so fast, and very professional, too. Sal and Michael was able to tun on my car and drove it out of the parking structure, and got it on the tow bed. Towed it from Universal Studios all the way to El Monte. On our way to drop off my 2014 Honda Pilot we had a great conversation, and we got to know each a little more. Rowlett Towing, The most MISLEADING, DECEPTIVE tow truck company my wife and I have dealt with. When you say your gonna be at a location between 20-45min and it becomes 2hours, that's delusive. YES a truck may break down. I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THAT, life happens. But you cost us time and money with four kids and jobs . AND TO ADD TO THIS DISGUST, IM JUST GETTING OUT OF THE HOSPITAL FROM SURGERY. This company rerouted 3 different times through out the day. If this is the Rowlett Towing that works the Echo Park/Glendale area, then they are unprofessional. I would give a zero if I could. I called them, mentioned a flat bed twice and it was 5pm in the evening. The driver shows up without a flat bed, and mentions that they won't be able to pick up my car until 6am. I live 4 miles away from the tow site in Los Angeles. This tow company will leave you stranded and doesn't care about your well being. I should have asked the driver's name. Just had a great experience with Rowlett Towing this morning. My car wouldn't start this morning, and I requested a tow through AAA to move my car out of our underground garage. Christopher from Rowlett showed up about 35 minutes later, and was professional and courteous helping me out with my car. Turns out my battery was dead, and he was able to jump the car and start it, no tow needed. Even though he was dispatched to tow, Christopher was knowledgeable, calm and patient with me, and gave me clear instructions on what I needed to do next.
