Yummo!!! Best Desserts!! Light and refreshing!!!! My experience was quite unique! Saturday afternoon post run craving of something sweet, of course light and refreshing is what I was looking for. Being Chinese, those overly rich and sweet dessert was never my forte. So I googled and yelped and got my hubby to go on this adventure to finding Kim's adorable SweetRide food truck. Well, a little disappointed when I arrived since there was no truck to be found!! Since there was a phone number listed, I decided to give it a try. Kim answered the phone, explain to me how her business has grown and how it works now. And offered to meet me at her house and let me try some of her yummy dessert. My poor hubby is the best!! He turned around and drove to this new destination. Oh my goodness! This lady,Kim, whom I have never met before comes out and gives me a hug!! And hands me a big box of assorted dessert. She was kind and professional and I knew she was the perfect food truck for our wedding reception at our home. We didn't want a traditional cake as we both love ice cream! Another truck responded a week later, but I had already hired Kim as she had been such a great communicator and offered both ice cream and Italian Ice for anyone with dairy allergies. Amazing cold treats! I'm usually not a fan of dessert trucks because things are usually too sweet, but this was a wonderful surprise. I went back 3 times in 2 hours for the fruit shells. The coconut sorbet is light, flavorful, and perfect for a hot day. The mango tasted just like the fruit, but I could eat that coconut sorbet all day. My friend got the butter pecan and cinnamon rum ice cream - both were delicious!! Now I wish I had gotten a snow cone too. read more

Every year I do an Ice Cream Social for two of my buildings on the north side. SweetRide! Houston came to our townhome community yesterday. The weather was chilly and cloudy, but residents and their families still came out to enjoy SweetRide's absolutely delicious ice cream and Italian ices! And, The servings were huge. we had sweet ride cater an event last year and it was awesome. the ices are incredibly refreshing & tasty. plus, kim was a joy to work with. she very communicative throughout the entire process and her positive attitude is contagious. my favorite treat was the mango sorbet fruit shell. it doesn't taste corn-syrupy like most ices -- it actually tastes like real mango because IT IS real mango! I used Sweet Ride for a promotional event (and it was pretty complex and demanding) and Kim could not have been more accommodating and supporting. The feedback for the goods (ice cream, italian ice, truffles, sammies) was OFF THE CHARTS. I don't know where this stuff comes from, but everything I tasted was absolutely amazing. Our admin team ordered SweetRide! Houston for Teacher Appreciation Week, and let me tell you we felt VERY appreciated. Kim was so kind and was great at helping us figure out what to choose from out of all the drool-worthy options. From fat-free to 100% fat, they had something for everyone. I got 2 scoops - the 100% fat mint chocolate chip ice cream and chocolate ice cream. However, because I was very excited about their other non-fat flavors, Kim offered samples of strawberry and mango. All of it was delicious and very tempting! Such a fun surprise today. I was looking for a food truck to come out for an event at my office of about 40-50 people and wanted something different than the usual. Kim came highly recommended by a close friend who happens to be an event coordinator and Kim was everything she said she would be. She helped me come up with a specific menu for my group. She even made a customized menu with our company logo to send out to the company. Our menu consisted of Blackberry Cabernet and Awesome Orange sorbets, Ice Cream Sammy's & three different Ice Cream Truffles (Espresso Yourself, Poppin' Pecan Turtle and White Chocolate Thunder). Everything was absolutely amazing. I honestly can't pick a favorite. The presentation and most importantly the taste of everything was better than what I even imagined and there are no artificial preservatives or colorants in the ingredients.
