Unlike some other places I've been, Zadi's work is (practically) painless. Like others have said, she provides a clean, comfortable, and warm environment, and I look forward to coming back. She was also very understanding when a bad freeway accident made me more than 30 mins late to my appointment - I called her to let her know and she called me back and told me not to worry, that I would still have my spot when I got there. I do not recommend: When I first moved down to San Diego I was desperate to find a good eye brow threading place. Key word, desperate. Therefore I ended up going to sweethread. I have come to realize that zadi is unprofessional with the worst customer service skills. I work down in pacific beach and I was running late due to an unforeseen accident. I had left 45 min early to make my appointment and tried to call sweethread 45 min in advance,No answer. I texted, no answer. I showed up 7 minutes late and still no answer. I then got an automated text message saying that all 3 of my next appointments were cancelled. This place is too expensive, and there are much better places that charge less for better quality brows. Thank you sweethread for rudely shutting the door because it has opened other doors for better quality service and brows. Suggestion: you can get Brazilian laser treatments done at a cheaper rate than continuously going to get sugared here. It lasts longer and you don't have to let your hair grow like a cave woman before your next treatment. read more

I was really excited to try this business since I read the great yelp reviews. I've tried threading before in other cities but haven't found a place in San Diego yet. I found the web site and called to set up an appointment. I listened to the voicemail which said to leave a message or text to set up an appointment. I sent a polite text asking for a first time threading appointment if possible for later the same day. She replies promptly that she had a late afternoon appointment available. We confirmed the time. She sent the address. I thanked her and confirmed the time and location again. I arrived ten minutes early. The door was locked, and there was a sign saying back shortly or with a client. I stood waiting outside. My appointment time came, and I knocked again. Nothing. I called. Nothing. Five minutes...then ten minutes after my appointment time, I texted. Nothing. I finally left and went back home. (I drove ten miles each way for this appointment.) I texted politely again trying to find out what happened. (It's always possible that people have an emergency or a situation with picking up their kids or something so I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt.) Nothing. Not even a response. Needless to say, I was very disappointed at the lack of basic decency to show up for the appointment or to get back to me in the event that she had forgotten. read more

Had my first experience with Zadi today for eyebrow threading. I am an esthetician myself and have been doing my own brows for over 10 years. However, I recently began using Retina and cannot wax, so needed to try threading. Zadi is conveniently located directly across from my house in Leucadia, so that alone was ideal. This place blew my mind, not only is it small and cute, but it's right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Encinitas. First of all, Zadi was amazing, I got a Brazilian done and half legs, she has the greatest sense of humor and she made me so comfortable that I wasn't even worried about what was going on. Finally went to Zadi today to get my eyebrows threaded and I am so glad I did. I am used to getting my eyebrows threaded and after scouring all of SD for someone to do my brows I found Zadi. I had made an appointment about two weeks in advanced and received two text confirmations for 12:45. Left my one year old with my mother and was looking forward to some pampering. When approaching my appointment by car, at about 12:42 I receive a call from who I believe was the receptionist saying that I was late to my 12:30 appointment and that if I want to still come, it would be rushed. I then explained that I was on time and still have 3 minutes until my appointment. The girl was very rude. They made a mistake and blamed me for being late to appointment that I was on time for. Not once an apology. In fact, the receptionist hung up on face at one point. Its ok to make mistakes, but an apology and some politeness can go a long way. I started going to Zadi almost 4 years ago when my husband and I moved to the area. I had tried, very unsuccessfully, to find a new place to go for sugaring but every other place I tried in the area fell very short. Sweethread is located kind of behind another business facing 101 so it took me a little bit to find it. Not complaining though, since I found a yummy Tea shop a block away that served my favorite Thai tea boba! Sweeethread turns out to be this cute little house, very cheerful and nice. Zadi was an absolute doll, so friendly and patient. I went in for the sugaring bikini and she made me feel so at ease. We chatted about things and she has a great sense of humor so it took my mind off the task at hand.
